Has anyone here preordered this case (http://newforcecomics.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=NFCC&Product_Code=84861+A008&Category_Code=P) from New Force Comics? (http://www.newforcecomics.com)
I'm wondering if anyone's heard any news on these. They'll really be some of my first 2003 product, so I'm getting really impatient. Any news?

I just got an email from Rick yesterday. He doesn't have that case as of yet from Hasbro (or wave 15 either). He's holding my three unleashed to combine into a mighty big box when that case assortment arrives.
I keep telling myself patience, young Jedi then slap myself in the head because I'm neither a Jedi nor young :P

I preordered from Rick also. It seems some 'other' e-tailers are just getting these in, so maybe it won't be so long for Rick to get his. ;D

I didn't order this from NewForce, but I did from Entertainment Earth. They've given me periodic status updates, and the latest was from June 30. Its not in stock yet, but their new expected date is July. (They have kept pushing this date back, just like everyone else.) I don't think its in anyone's hands yet.

I think you mught be getting them real soon. Today at Target I picked up the New Jedi Luke, Darth Vader, and Snowtrooper. I passed on the repacked C-3P0 and Jango Fett. Since this wave is showing oup at Targets here in Indy I think the online stores will be getting them in any day now.
I hope you get your toys soon.

Rick updated tonight to say he got a very small supply of Wave 13/15 and expects more next week. Can't wait.

Is it Newforce or is it Hasbro's distribution system? I admit to being surprised that Newforce doesn't have waves 13/15 yet, given that the stuff is showing up on store shelves/pegs but they were pretty quick with the unleashed, at least for US customers. I bear them no ill will though, if they want to save me money on shipping, I'm all for it.

I haven't preordered a case since POTJ, so I haven't noticed anything different. I'm just a kid at heart, so I'm getting impatient. And its an excellent case, too! :D

Yesterday, I saw this news at NewForce that they received a limited amount of Waves 13 AND 15 on Tuesday Jul-01 (very limited):
"Star Wars wave 13 and 15 update
July 1, 2003 | 9:17 PM | newforce
Today we received a very, very small quantity of wave 13 and 15 cases...we will start shipping out preorders as they were submitted (FIFO, except where we tried to combine a seperate wave 13 and 15 preorder to save shipping...)...We hope to receive more product or allocations from Hasbro next week, and will update here (our email update list is temp out of commission)...all preorders that can be filled, have processed at this point..."
Then today, I received a UPS ship notification e-mail today!
The orders are being filled FIFO, so depending on when you pre-order, it may not be much longer wait!

Can't recall if the Hoth Han is in 13 or 15, but does anyone know if this is scheduled to be the Blue coat again, or is it now the brown? If it's the latter, I need to get a blue (my preference) :)

hello all...
Just wanted to chime in....Mass retailers will always get new cases before us (or any online account that orders from Hasbro direct)...simple as that....for the past 2003 waves, it has "seemed" like we were getting them "quicker" because the mass stores were not ordering them in any quantity...but, now that they are starting to take cases again, we (all accounts) will lag behind them (sometimes a day, sometimes a month)...it is totally up to Hasbro...I have no control except that I place the order and "wait" like everyone else...I realize waiting is not fun, especially when you don't know "when", but that is how it has always been, and likely how it will continue ...at least until our orders are larger than TRU's :)

I just heard that Hasbro cancelled wave 13 so NewForce isn't gonna get anymore of that exact case.
A replacement case with "most" of the same figures will be offered in Sept/Oct timeframe.
I'd be careful though, because with Hasbro "most" could mean only threee of the figures!
I guess this is one of those few times when pre-ordering blows up in your face!
Glad I picked up a Wat Tambor at Target when I saw him...

Sucks...which strenghtens my arguement that Hasbro absolutely is run by morons. Here they are with Hundreds of customers that are waiting for product...and their response "Blame Retailers"
BS I tell you, and I too am glad I picked up my stuff when I did at target

WEll that just plain sucks. And not that I'm blaming Newforce either. What they don't have, they can't sell. I must say though I am more than a little ticked. This leaves a pretty big hole in the figs I need and I was counting on this case in particular. Must have been too convenient to have 12 different figures in a case. Grrrrrr. >:( :'(

I just checked EE and they pushed their wave 13 case to August (this has been on going since May). Wave 11 still states July but I'm sure that will be bumped to August also. Yup, another slap in the face from Hasbro. :P

UPDATE: If you scroll down further you'll see that Entertainment Earth has also replied and as far as they know, the case orders will be filled but not until September.

Maybe for online retailers it may take awhile for these figures to show up. Not for regular stores. I know that here in Indy that I have seen this wave four or five times already including today at Target.
So far I have seen this wave once at Wal-Mart and the rest at Target.
One Target in my area today put out the Jedi Starfighter, Trade Tank, Gun Ship and wave 13.

I ordered the wave 1 screen scenes from Newforce and I'm a bit concerned that Hasbro is going to screw over newforce again like they did with wave 13. This, of course would mean that we end up not getting our orders. Anyone here order these?

I was thinking the same thing since I ordered these quite a while ago. With these being in stores for several weeks now, I thought their shipment would have arrived. Guess we will have to just cross our fingers again.

I ordered them too and have since scored them at Target. I emailed Rik at Newforce to ask and he said that the order is still open until he gets official word from Hasbro. I do think that by the time wave 2 hits the stores it will possible that wave 1 will go unfilled like Newforce did wave 1 of the Clone Wars multipacks.

Rick's been pretty open about how they don't always (or usually) get stuff prior to retail outlets, especially when distribution is "on" from Hasbro, which it seems to be right now.
I ordered them and I'd really hate to see another miss. I lost out on wave 13 and I'm just about to order some more unleashed from them, so....

Same thing, i ordered but as I have been for a while CMA by buying stuff when I see it and either trading or returning what I do get. So far I've been lucky, but I also live in America :-* (Sorry brent ;))
So...I'm holding out hope these do come because they are really nice sets. The whole Retailers aren't ordering drivel is pretty pointless right now to me

I ordered from newforce too, but too often they aren't getting their stuff these days it seems...
I might start ordering from another site instead. I like newforce a lot, and it sucks if Hasbro is screwing them, but if I know I can get my stuff somewhere else, I will probably do it. :-\
I did find these at Target too, and they are awesome.

I wouldn't put my faith in another e-tailer though either CHEWIE, if Newforce isn't getting their stuff, neither is EE or Kebco or Yestertoys or other big etailers...

I received my wave 13 case from Newforce yesterday. Everything was well-packed as usual, and all the figures are mint on card.
Unfortunately I found most of these figures at retail, so I only needed the Wedding Padme, Barris Offee, Coleman, and red Battledroid. The rest I'm planning on selling off at retail price, so I'll put them on the Classifieds board soon.

I also recieved my Wave 13 from Newforce yesterday. Perfect condition, except my Darth Maul who I intended to leave carded was loose in the bubble and his lightsaber is bent in a lovely U shape. And Yoda's hand fell off. And so did Aalya's arm.
After my Wave 15 debacle, where I recieved two Chewie's and no Hoth Han, I've decided I won't order online anymore. Nothing against Rick - it's not his fault by any means. It's Hasbro's. But apparently the only to ensure getting what I want is to inspect it in a store before I buy it. And if I don't find it, I don't find it.

Sounds like Newforce got shut out on the Screen Scenes...but do have Wave 2 or Wave 3 (Wave 1 and 2 in a case) up for pre-sale shipping next week!

I thought my order was cancelled (and I haven't received an email stating it was shipped) so I emailed Rick and within a short time I got my reply:
hey
we have not cancelled your order...in fact, I believe you filled and are in shipping now?
unfortunately, we presold almost 800 cases +sets of these...it is logistically impossible to email everyone that we could not fill (over 650+), hence we have to rely on our website page for updating (our email update list is defunct, and we are creating a new one)
so, no worries for you

Has anyone got any suggestions of other etailers that could be used? This is not to say I am unhappy with Newforce, but it's been a challenge of late. I know Rick is busy and always responds to my emails, but seldom actually answers all the questions I ask. I have a number of items pending, but clearly I'm not on the high priority list.
I'm not sure if it's that I am in Canada or not, but for some reason I seem pretty low on the the priority list. I check Newforce on a pretty regular basis (i.e. daily) and if I see something I want, I order immediately. A number of the items that have been in limited supply I know I ordered early enough to be included. I say this because they weren't up on the site in the am, but later the same day I went back, they were there and I ordered. Within hours or minutes of it being made available. Mucho frustration for me.
Back to my original point, I don't know what I do or do not have coming anymore and that is really frustrating. There was a point, based on my orders through Newforce, I believed I was mostly caught up, but now I haven't a clue where I stand. Not to say they aren't getting the shaft from Hasbro, but this is getting downright goofy.
Kebco is ok, but I have to see what they're going to do with shipping and timing. Yestertoys is all right based on past experience, but I'm no fan of being charged 'handling fees'. actionfigureexpress.com or whatever the appropriate handle is has the set of four screen scenes for just under $80 so I may try that.
Bad enough being a Canuck, but I can't even keep up playing on American cyber space :-\

I think I'm done with NEWFORCE. At least for now. They seem to cancel about everything nowadays, and when they DO get things in, it's weeks or months after they hit sufficient quantities in stores. Either someone isn't keeping on their toes around there, or Hasbro is screwing them. Either way, my patience has worn thin. Wookies aren't know for their patience you know.
