I just got back from NYCC and picked up 2 of the crates. They all looked great in person but sadly i got 2 of the Crystal skull, if anyone else got doubles or wants to trade one of the other 2 for the crystal skull set let me know.

I finally got around to taking the skull out. it is actually really nice, i just don't need 2. :-\

Is anyone else a member of the premier guild still? I ended up not paying enough attention, despite notices here to the effect, and had the auto renewal go through. At least something of interest came up with the Indy paper weights going up this Friday it looks like.
If anyone else is a PG member and not interested in the paper weight, I'm looking to get extras as they are limited to one per PG member. With three randomly packed paper weights, I'll need help. I've got paypal cash balance too.

If you are a PGM member, you should have received an email about all the NY Comic-Con stuff they are selling. This is what it said for those that missed it:
We know that you have been patiently awaiting the web sales of the Gentle Giant Convention Exclusives recently available at the 2008 New York Comic Con. Tentatively; we are looking to put the following items up on the web, this Friday, May 2nd.
Indian Jones Artifact Crate Paperweight (3 collections) $35 each
Each crate features a detachable magnetic whip and fedora, a removable crate lid and rubber snakes.
Collections are randomly packed; therefore we cannot guarantee the contents of each crate ordered. Every crate is specific to one of three artifact collections. I ended up in the club through the auto-renewal thing just like you. I don't know what these paperweights look like, but odds are you can have mine for whatever you think is a fair price.

Well, I'll pay you cost + shipping + shipping to me but I'm not desperate enough or interested enough to go above retail for them. I think they'll drop in time and one is probably really all I need. If you want to flog it elsewise and get something for it, no worries at all.

My bad, I thought that was part of the PG Gift - I haven't been paying any attention lately beyond checking out that new TIE Pilot and wondering when Ackbar and the Tusken Raider were going to show up at my local shop.

Got a collection 1 & collection 2 crate on line. Won both of them, and for $60 each (delivered) that isn't too bad. Working on getting #3 and then other than a few figures I am done with the Indy stuff.

No indication of where to order them, so in digging around if you're in the store, click on accessories on the menu on the left and it will appear. I'm waiting on the confirmation email though.

I haven't seen them on the web site either. i have been looking for the Desk Accessories (Ark Business Card Holder, Grail paperclip cup, and Idol Pen holder). Depending on cost I might get those to go with my Red Swingline Stapler.

That wasn't the best executed sale I've ever seen, but I guess the plus is they were up on time. Still, between refreshing my email and checking various boards to see if anyone else knew anything, I had a third window open where I was just poking around the GG website. Searches didn't turn up anything, so I just started poking into the various categories and they appeared.
Some suggestion at the other site that these may be sold at SDCC as well and maybe have an after sale online as well? Pure speculation at this point, but I'll watch and see.

It's not all speculation, it was on the GG blog (https://www.gentlegiantltd.com/blog/2008/2/181/gentle-giant-ltd-2008-exclusives) during Toy Fair, shortly after these Indy Desk Pieces were announced.

The blind packed artifacts are up again for the post-SDCC sale. I ordered another in hopes of getting something other than the Crystal Skull :-\ PG members only right now, general sale on Saturday.

Luckily I am done with this set. Now just have to come up with a stand to display them all on.

With my second order I lucked out and got Collection 1, so now all I need is collection 2. I think I may hit ebay in hopes of paying maybe a little more to get the one I actually need. Nice to not get another Crystal Skull. So Sankara stones/Grail Cup is what's left.

I have bought 4 of these damn things and all 4 were skulls. What a waste. Anyone need that set? I am more than happy to trade for either of the other 2.

Ouch, that's harsh. Sorry to hear about your luck, but all the more reason I might now pay more to get the actual set I need. There has to be people that need those skulls though. Edition size of 3000, one would think they split it out evenly for each collection. Wouldn't they?

My luck with this stuff has always been terrible but part of me is thinking that they made more skulls.

My crate came last week on Friday and I lucked out, got collection 1 which is the one I was hoping for.
The only issue is that the edges were chipped off the diary in the bottom of the crate. It's not bad enough that I wanted to send it back, though.
