Title: Clone Commander Bled
Post by: crazy about Clones on June 23, 2005, 11:04 AM
Heres my custom Clone Commander Bled

Hes just mainly a repaint and acessories swap, hope you like him!

Heres his bio:

Clone Commander Bled, or RC-1791 was hand picked for the Commander training program by the ARC Trooper Alpha.  In training he formed a Bond with Commander Gree, serving under him in their training unit as "second in command". Commander Bled served under Jedi General Plo Koon many times, leading the 615th Battalion Rangers, which had recently lost their Commander. He had to paint his armor himself, explaining its "somewhat sloppy" appearence. While serving on Dantooine before the Battle of Coruscant, he and his squad were ambushed by none other than General Grevious's bodyguards. He and his squad took heavy casaulties so he told his squad to lay down cover fire. After his rangers started firing, Commander Bled lept out from behind his cover and threw a thermal detonator strait at one of the bodyguards chest. He then hit the dirt when the bodyguard tried to deflect the detonator, making it explode right on top of him and two other unexpecting guards. After the battle he took one of the guards electro staffs, swearing he would avenge his brothers lost in combat. When he had heard the news of Commander Gree's death after order 66 he was outraged and he and his Battalion went to Coursant without the order of Darth Sidious to help the 501st Clone troopers to kill off the remaining jedi. He and his Battalion served the newly formed Galactic Empire for many years, carrying out many covert ops missions to infiltrate Rebel bases.

About time you posted this over here!   ;)

I really think it looks cool.  My only suggestion, would it be possible to remove his white belt, and then repaint the green one that you added on either blue or black?  I think that would turn this from a very good custom to an outstanding one.

Glad to see some new clones from you crazy!
I love the backstory, great job there.
I agree with CHEWIE, you should cut off the white belt and then attach the green belt (maybe paint it a matching blue?).  Still, as he is now, Commander Jay is very cool, great work ;D

I agree, removing the white belt and replacing it with the green one would make it even better. Great custom, good pictures, too.

CaC, I could have sworn I  responded to this..... :-[

Great job! It's great to finally see something of yours! :) He really looks good. I like the blue scheme. The back story is really cool too.

I agree with the other guys, the green belt just doesn't match the rest of clone. I don't think you'd have to cut off the white belt because some soldiers wear a second belt with extra ammo and gear.  I think you can leave it but its color definitely needs to be changed, I think some mixture of black, blue, and maybe white would look good.

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more customs from you. ;D

I think black with blue pouches would look good.  As for names, I won't touch that, as you guys have probably seen, I don't try very hard at coming up with clone names :P

Commander Bled.  That's a name of a Clone coming up in one of my photonovels.  If you like it, we can "share" the name.   ;)

I was originally going to suggest "Blud" but I thought it might sound too much like Major Bludd from GI Joe.  I think "Bled" sounds like cool, but there was nothing wrong with the name you had for him.  I even think that Commander "Bay" sounds ok too.  I think I'll make a Commander Bay.
