How do guys feel about the use of sharpies. I will post some rencent work that involve a lot of colors
-
I only use them for touch ups. When used over large areas they seem to be too glossy and a bit stiicky.
-
I never use sharpies for customs. They are way to glossy and their point is much too fat. I use special art pens with small .005mm points on them. They are great for painting eyes and they don't rub off like sharpies. They are a couple of dollars a pen but way worth it.

I know which ones you're talking about Phruby, quite expensive if I remember, do they still only come in black, red, & blue. I'm needing a grey if they have 'em.

I don't think I've ever seen gray but I think you know which ones I mean.

I've seen another brand that comes in a few more colors (pink, yellow, brown). Not sure about grey. It was at the Blick art supply store.

I've got a Pigma Micron 005 black pen. This is great for very fine detail work such as eyes. It tries instantly and will stand up to water.

I ususally use these. Not as fine a point as the ones Phruby mentions, but so far I've used these to paint 3 Squad's of clones in there legion markings using these; Shocktroopers, 501st, & Felucia. And you can find them at Walmart of Michael's
