Well.... 12" Greivous has been freed... what a crappy figure it is though!   His weak, tiny hands can't even grasp a single lightsaber... not to mention all 4 of them!   I'll have to get some of the "bands" and use those for posers... err... posES I meant..

I had the exact same review when I opened mine last year.  I actually turned him into a statue and glue the joints so that it would stand properly.  I'm considering getting the arms casted so that they aren't as flimsy.

Worst figure of 2005 IMHO.

It definitely looks that way.  If you look at the original 'poster' of the final 22 (I think it's back on page 4), the lightsaber is definitely different than what they originally had shown us.  It seems to fit his had better this way, but I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come in '07.  I'm not a big fan of the wider blade near the hilt.

Now we can all start complaining about the Padme figure :)

And the partially transparent droid...

Update with new wants.  Thanks.

Looking for a non-functioning single bladed Darth Maul Force FX lightsaber.  I need the hilt for a 'project' I'm working on, so I'd prefer the hilt to be in good condition, but the blade can be beat up.  Send me a PM with your asking price.  Thanks.

I got this set for one reason and one reason only.  The man purse.  The 1st ever bonafied Star Wars issued man purse. ;D

In case anyone missed the first issue, when I went to go get 'Dark Times #1' today, they had copies of the second printing of Legacy #1 there as well.  Just thought some people might want to know.

Picked up #1 today.  Great issue.  Can't wait to see #2.  Like Legacy, I really like the direction this is heading.

Qui-George, how much did they end up charging you for your exclusive?

They pulled the shuttle from Target.com and my local store no longer has it in their system...  Looks like Hasbro's 'no comment' on the BF promo may be because there was never an intention for this to be out by then.  Or maybe even at all?

Thoughts?

Just picked up Legacy #5 this morning.  Very good issue!  Picks up at the end of #3.  I don't want to spoil the issue for anyone, so I'll just tease it a little.  Darth Talon has tracked down the Mynock...

Saga Collection '06 / Re: "Battle Above the Sarlaac" Battle Pack
« on: October 31, 2006, 08:59 AM »
I know that some of us have complained that Hasbro is re-releasing a lot of old figures in the most recent Battle Packs, but I wanted to relay a story from last night.

I was shopping with my two sons yesterday for non-Star Wars related merchandise (I know, for shame) when I saw a 6-7 year old boy walking around with the Carkoon Battle Pack in his hands.  He had the biggest smile on his face as he was looking at all the figures and from the looks of it he couldn't have been happier.

I can't begin to explain how happy I was to not only see a young kid getting into Star Wars (especially an item from the OT), but to see him genuinely happy with what we consider to be re-hashed items we would just assume pass on.

This gives me at least a little hope that when my kids are old enough to play with the toys I'm buying, they will be as happy as the kid I saw last night.  So keep pumping out those Battle Packs Hasbro.  I for one will continue to buy them.

This put a pretty big smile on my face last night and I thought that I would share.   ;D
