I know I'm being overly cynical, but I can't shake that feeling right now. I should by all rights be ecstatic - it's been a very, very, very long time since the good guys in green won the whole thing. They've been cursed since Len Bias. And not that I don't think they don't have the talent to win, I've been impressed by how well Garnett, Pierce and Allen have played. I think Rondo and Cassell have really stepped up. Perkins is proving to be an important player too, much to my delight. But I just can't get over how awful the reffing has been, favoring the Celtics in so many instances. And it pains me to say that too, because I really do want to see the Celtics win. I loathe and despise the Lakers and always have. Yet I'm not convinced they should lose.
But I guess it's not over yet. The Lakers could still win. Even if they do though, I'm still going to have a bad feeling about the season aside from having the hated Lakers win.
