Yeah, I wouldn't have taken him but I was looking for a star player by the time the first round got to me.  I think I took him 8th or 10th overall or something like that.  Being  a Lightning fan I can't stand Iginla after those finals a year and a half ago.  He came off as an *******.  But He also came off as a hell of a player - so that was why I took him.

Okay Scott, now that he's gone through waivers, I've got to ask if there was a particular reason why you dropped Justin Williams???

He's been sucking as of late and the guy I picked up (Nils Ekman) has been on an absolute tear

Right on.  In the last month, he's got more points than all but two guys on my team and in the two games since I put the waiver claim on him he has 3 points.  Hopefully he's turning it around.

Yeah I usally pick up guys based on the last month's performance, my guys are doing a lot better as of late but my team still sucks ass

Not me, since I traded for Frolov, he's missed three games with the freaking flu.

I have yet to get a single start out of him.   

And for those who are interested, McCabe and Demitra are both still out with no set timetable for their returns...

What does IL stand for in the stat tracker?  Iginla is listed as IL on my line-up, and he's listed as being on the bench on the yahoo page - but he's already scored a goal in the game if you believe the box score.

And speaking of Iginla, he's on the trading block.

He can be had for a solid defenseman.

News from yahoo today was that surgery would have put him out until the end of February but that he was NOT going to have surgery and that he could be back in a couple of weeks.

excuse me, I have to go pick him up elsewhere

News this morning was that McCabe skated and felt good.  He's not ready to play yet and didn' do and starts and stops or hard cuts... but it's the first sign of progress in a few weeks.

Bryan McCabe is now designated as IR but when I put him on IR it doesn't give me an open roster spot.  Any idea why?

I'd like to add a free agent but can't.

I think that is because the switch to IR won't take effect until tomorrow...

When I put Leetch on IR, it wouldn't let me add Mezaros as a replacement until the next day.
