Excuse me but, who and what is jinx?2

Jinx is a female GI Joe ninja, if my 80's toy knowledge does not fail me.

I wonder if the Jocasta figure was originally slated as a mail way before they canned the idea. It seems to fit like it was.

Please tell me that the only Obi for next year will be this one, (laughs) that way if he peg warms we can slap the helmet on him and army build red Mandos.
I am guessing that the new red coloring on the Mando armor represents some alliegence to Maul. If only all the episodes can be this action packed, I can't wait for the season to start.

And also with the ratings, the show is on pretty late to pick up new viewers. Remember that the gap between the 7 year olds who started watching the show with all the advertisements and a movie to help launch things are now 12. Most of that audience is now abandoning toys for the chance to brush against a boob somewhere. The current 7 year olds have been exposed to little to no marketing and Cartoon Network has not helped much only rerunning the shows once on Saturday. If I could see the episodes 9 times a week like adventure time, the characters, even the more obscure ones, would be more identifiable on the pegs. "mommy I wan't that" is still going to be the driving force behind Hasbro making money. Saturation is one way to accomplish that, and in par with the ratings slide nothing is being done to replace the viewers "lost to puberty".

I am still holding on to my hope that as long as new episodes are coming out, that here will be some type of toy line to follow it. The new season has some great episodes, and even better figure potential. It's too bad the distribution issues have seemingly robbed us from seeing how truly healthy or unhealthy this line is.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Recent Clone Wars Finds/Purchases

My wave 3 and Commander Fox came in today. I am tempted to hang pegs on the wall so I can walk by them for a while and see what it is like to have new clone wars on the pegs.

I also figured a reasonable thing to do with the extras is construct a Snow Mace. With a little sanding the mace head fits reasonably on the snow koon body. The brown neck stem is a little off color but at quick glance it is a passible figure. I figure that is better that them just sitting in a box, and since Plo was not really from the show (comic pack reject I believe) it works for me. And who doesn't have an extra Mace head (or five) sitting around?

It still breaks my heart to mail order for these, but at least I can look for deluxe to show up at Ross in a year or two.

As much as it makes my blood boil to both overpay and buy stuff I already have, I ordered wave 3 from EE today. After looking at the ridiculous prices on eBay I decided I would rather give money to a business that exists for collectors instead of hacks out sucking what few of these are out in retail into a cash grab. My hopes of ever finding these in a store ebbed when the calendar switched to July. It is crazy to me that an avid collector can go five months without seeing a new carded figure in a store.
If someone wants to start a bounty for the first person to land a solid right hand to the Hasbro rep at Comic Con I am considering contributing.

Well said, I can't wait until the CBA is done and the Jets can end up in another division where I can pull for them. Free agency is right around the corner.

It had to be a rough week for Jets fans with the Canes, Caps, and Bolts all seeming to take steps forward, which will make points even harder to come by in the division. ...If they even play this season.

I have not found a new Clone wars item to buy since April 28th. Thanks Hasbro for making this hobby so enjoyable for my son and I. (rolls eyes while he thinks about the attention span of 7 year olds).

They could make soooooo much money if they made figures of clone wars characters.  ::)

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Jedi Attack
« on: May 20, 2012, 06:37 PM »
They mention in the movie that their ability to use the force is diminished. Yoda being particularly strong was able to sense what was going on, the others who were not as powerful were also distracted by being personally engaged in battle and likely had to focus all of their force abilities on the here and now to help protect themselves and their troops (although that did not work out hat well for them in the end).

Vintage Kenner / Re: Vintage Toy Store Display Pictures
« on: May 17, 2012, 08:47 PM »
That Star Bird was an awesome toy. It was the first I owned that could sense that it was tilted up or down and changed the engine noise it made accordingly. The plastic wings tips also slide off like mini ships. That photo just brought back a rush of memories to me. Most Star wars toys I bought back in the day were from much smaller displays in hardware stores and small chain stores. If I ever saw a display like that I think I would have passed out as a child. Thanks for sharing the pics.

The Original Trilogy / Re: Tantive IV crew
« on: May 14, 2012, 05:31 PM »
I think rounding up the crew falls under the "tear this ship apart" area. It would make sense to lock up and search all of the people on board to make sure no one was holding the plans before they were killed. I doubt very much there were survivors.
