Me and my family are ok, my sister in law lives out near Gatton one of the suburbs that were hit pretty hard, thankfully they are ok they were just locked in.
Amazing to see roads I would go to work in completely under water.
I think we are up to 15 dead and 60 odd missing with a bunch that they are very worried about, one of the towns that got hammered first after Toowoomba there are about 30 odd cars smashed up at a bridge, emergency personal havent been able to get to the site yet and they are worried they will essentially be coming up on a mass grave.
I will say this, the state governments response has been fantastic, the state premier has been on all media networks and she is hurting too you can see it in her face but she is fighting on and keeping everyone updated with what is happening not what is going to happen.
Its going to take a long time to clean up and rebuild, hopefully there wont be many more people lost.
Dale that story was heartbreaking, apparently the boy that died was terrified of the water too, he was a little hero telling the man to take his younger brother first.
When he got swept off the car, his mother went in after him and thats how they were lost.
