Sweet.  Looking forward to hunting for these with $6/gallon gas and $12.99 MSRP figures.

You got it wrong. Hasbro doesn't just mean that packaging is for 2012, $20.12 is also the MSRP. (TRU will charge $21.99)  :P

Creepy character, possibly the only Star Wars character that can literally rape someone with his eyes. Okay, that's sick.

I never owned the POTF2 one. He was part of the scarce wave that killed me as a potf2 completist.

A new one should have the ability to raise his glass (a must include accessory) to his mouth, since the dude was a pathetic drunkard.

On a griping note, why did they tinker with his species in the prequels and someone decided that Ree Yees here has mutant hands?

Stupid going back to artwork instead of photos. I blame the upcoming vintage collection EU figures for this.

(I'm kidding...I read the post at rabbleskum).

Ok, maybe not him but surely Jabba did, especially after the SEs came out.  Get the fat blob on a card.   ;)

Ha! If only I had the resources to make a mock Jabba Collection card.

I dislike any character-theme packaging. Not even Vader makes it look good.

I bet vintage packaging ends by early next year. It's been a "treat" for fans, but I suspect the suits really want  a more unified brand look.

Technically the 501st one is a "new" figure, isn't it? The old 501st clone wars clone trooper used the first helmet mold.

Yeah, two week wait until the next part while they run some special stupid junk. Nice scheduling there, Cartoon Network.

Star Wars items are 5% off at TRU, with the Clone Wars Y-Wing $34.99 on sale.

Also, as Rebelscum poster noted, some older battle packs are $5.98 at TRU online.

They are Clone Wars Holocron Heist and Jedi Showdown and BAD-era Birth of Darth Vader and Tatooine Desert Ambush. None of that is vintage, but I don't think anyone would notice if I posted in the Legacy forum.

With shipping they are like $11 each....2 of $18.... 3 for $25.

If only I wanted any of them. Maybe the Vader one...

Picked up Darth Sidious for $5.20 after $6.50 sale and a 20% off coupon at Meijers. Which is strange, cuz I'm not a Palpatine/Sidious fan, figured if I'm gonna get one I want a poseable one.

I'm combing through photo archives and here's one a lot of people seem to be forgetting: Droid Factory Flight R2-D2

That's the one whose legs can't even move! Is that really an action figure!  :P

Dishonorable mentions:

Jedi Luke is an ongoing joke with Hasbro or was until late last year, that Saga one is the worst but...

The plastic hood looks terrible. They reused that same damn 1995 Luke headsculpt. He's quite tall, too. There's picking on POTF2, but this one seemed off even back then...no, not seemed, it just didn't work.

And there's these guys. LOL. That bear on Conan mention applies to the first one...but a lot of action figures suggest that (Playmates' Trek like was rife with them). The rest....goofy eyed bunch.

Good episode.

I found the carbonite scene was the most  ::) eye-rolling scene in a long time. Oh, yeah, we have a carbon freezing chamber right here on coruscant in our hanger...operated by an ugnaught...with lighting like that in Bespin's carbon freezing chamber.

Hey, maybe they can reissue that old playset for Clone Wars...sure it's not wholly accurate.

C-3PO appeared only for R2-translating exposition purposes.  I don't mind seeing him, but his scene could've handed to anyone, especially since he didn't have any stated reason to be where he was.

The prison commander was a bit "sinister looking alien with a creepy personality" stereotype they use a lot (at least he's not an anthropomorphic spider). Might make a good figure, though...if he even has a name.

Odd mix of Clones...the two ARCs (Echo and I forget the other one), Rex and Cody (doesn't he have an army to command?) and some inconsitently colored guys who are all doomed.

Tarkin talking smack right out the bat, Filoni, are you sure his role shoudn't have been assigned to Admiral Motti?

You'd think Yoda would be the one with Chewbacca..."good relations with the wookies". But Yoda hasn't done squat all season, has he?

Yeah, well, I see nothing wrong with Gragra...though I never got that figure. I don't see how both Rebel Fleet troopers are worse than that big hooded Emperor or hunchback attack Death Star 2 Luke. But this is most HATED figures, so reach outward with your feelings!

I suppose the idea is that bad characters make bad figures. I had no use for Clegg Holdfast as a character, because most of the pod racers are stupid, but his figure is quite good. A good figure might change your mind about a character you dislike. Though a bad figure of a good character can leave a bad taste (I still don't own a decent Jango Fett).

Vader's big hover-segeway is interesting.

Glowstick bot!

This where those China ebay sellers come in handy...hopefully.

Utai and the airtrooper I want.

Actually the tan battle droid might be "new" in that the Geonosis Arena 2-pack version hasn't been issued in khaki yet.

Some folks are thinking Maul might have ball jointed elbows. I can't tell.

Yeah, mostly uninspired, main character choices. I know these sets are not for collectors but...

Really, Sandtrooper for ANH? Really? REALLY? If I had to sum up ANH  in 4 characters. Is sandtrooper one of them? No.

That now-outdated Bly for ROTS? Why him anyway? Screen time of less than a minute.

The  dirty evolutions Clone from AOTC?

Hoth Leia second repack this year, after the Target 3-pack. Hey, if you were gonna milk it that much, you could've given her ankle joints.

And of course, the Vader who can't hold a saber in his right hand.
