A power point presentation has been leaked by Microsoft on the new XBox. It's to be released next year for $299. It's six times faster than the 360, includes a new Kinect, 3d glasses, connectivity with tables/phones, lots of online services and a blu-ray player. It looks like a dvd player.

Huh...so this was what all the Microsoft chatter was about over the weekend. Not a bad price for a next gen console, but I've never been on the xbox boat...
-
$300 seems like a dream actually. Can't wait to see what next gen games are giong to be like... I've been a big XB fan, so I'm pretty hooked on getting this short of PS4 being something dramatically more impressive.
-
Specs revealed:
http://www.edge-online.com/news/the-next-xbox-always-online-no-second-hand-games-50gb-blu-ray-discs-and-new-kinect/
Highlights:
- Constant Internet connection required
- Won't play used games
- Includes a Blu-ray drive
- Heavy emphasis on motion controls with new Kinect
-
That's not "specs revealed" - that's "rumors published."
I really doubt this no-used-games business ends up being true.
If there is no way to sell a game second-hand that you bought when you decide it sucks or that you're done with it, people will revolt. I know I wouldn't buy it.
-
I heard PS4 won't play used games either...hoping that's not the case with these new consoles because those are pretty much the only games I buy since I refuse to pay $60-$70 for a new game when I can have it for half or less if I wait it out.
I'd imagine Gamestop would go out of business.
-
They were pretty well-sourced and cross-checked "rumors" Rob, but whatever.
We shall see on the used games front. Sony did patent tech to lock out game discs after they're used on a console. It's the way the industry has been going for a while.

I dont' think it would be an exaggeration to say that it would be the death of the console. Who's going to pay $60 for a game that they essentially don't own?
EDIT: Reading the comments in your link, it looks like a lot of people agree that it's too far fetched to be a legitimate rumor at this point, and that rumors that don't pan out are regularly reported on when it comes to new consoles.
-
Eliminating used games would kill the system. If you can't even borrow a game from a friend, I think that would make one shy away from the system. They would need a bunch of exclusive games to be viable. You even eliminate the option of renting games unless they make some sort of rental only copy that doesn't have the activation code. I think just about every game system owner has bought a game that just didn't meet their expectations and wanted to either get rid of it or go back in time and not purchase it. At $60/game, the option to not get any of your money back will be too much to bear for many people.
-
Launching the PS3 at $600 would have been considered too far fetched to be legit as well, I think. As I said, we shall see.
-

But it also had Blu-ray technology nice and early right? That was two giant pieces of brand new hardware rolled into one.
-
I keep hearing rumblings about the no Used Games thing and I can honestly see them going there, but it would fail miserably... like you guys already mentioned, Gamestop would go out of business (I personally hate that store, but it would hurt the economy), plus Redbox would be hurt by the no-rental thing.
Constant Internet connection bothers me too, as I have spotty service from time to time (Suddenlink - Making sure Buffering is still a thing in the year 2013!) and I have to reset the router and junk. Could get messy.
-
Wow. Those are some steep pre-recs for that system. I know people that don't have broadband Internet at home and some that live in areas where they can't get it, but have consoles. The fact that they won't allow used games is the real negative, though.
We have a game library that we lend to patrons, that won't be doable with this next gen system and even Game Stop allows employees to borrow games to play to help keep them current...that'll be out also.
It seems like Microsoft checked all the boxes for why not to buy their new system. Next we'll here that there won't be any backward compatibility.

The no used games is balls, both sony and microsoft are talking this up in everything I have heard.
They might try it but I think if it happens the systems will fail
-
Constant Internet connection required
So in fifteen years when they stop online services (like they did with the original Xbox) everyone's systems will become paperweights. ::)
The no used games doesn't surprise me. There have been PC games that have nontransferable registrations for years now.

The XBox One has been announced. Pictures and other information are at Engadget.

Awesome name for Microsoft's third xbox...
-
Here is a picture of the unit. I think the 360 was better looking. At least the controller isn't radically different.

The most interesting announcement, for me, was the live-action Halo show by Spielberg. But it sounds like you'll need the Xbox One to watch it? I don't know, I missed some of the info, I'm at work.
Still, the name? Blah. It's like MS isn't even trying...or actively trying to make their **** less interesting. I'm sorry, but I've been able to watch plenty of TV and interface with online social media without ever owning a console so why did that seem to be the big selling points today?
I don't play enough console games to know if this is all stuff people wanted, but most of my friends that game a lot just want a fast system with kickass games and don't care for all the extra stuff.
E...
-
Yeah the extra peripheral **** seems to be too important to the people making consoles... I just want good games, amazing graphics, great gameplay/stories... that's all. I don't need a BR player, or the ability to hook up to Twitter... I just want to play games.
I like how it looks, and the name? Eh, who cares... I'm anxious to play a demo one at a store is all. I still call my X-Box 360 the X-Box... This too, shall just be called the X-Box if I buy it. The rest is so unimportant it's not worth caring about.
Live action HALO has my attention too Eric, so I'm anxious about that.
-
I'm not sure that I like the idea of paying a small fee for used games. If I buy a used game from game stop, I have to pay Microsoft to activate it. This makes me worried since games are tied to an individual live account. What happens if your live account is banned for something stupid? Then you loose your entire software library even if you own the physical discs!
-
All I use my game systems for are games (duh), DVDs/movies and Netflix... no need for Twitter or Skype or any of that other lame stuff. Not big on Kinect either. I keep my systems in my relatively small bedroom. No room to stand up and jump around or anything like that.
Big meh overall... I'll wait a few years for discounts and such. Then again I only buy 2-3 games a year anyway so I'm just not in the target demographic.
-
Details on the One's always online requirements and restrictions on used games:
http://www.theinquirer.net/inquirer/news/2273430/microsoft-confirms-always-on-xbox-one-requirements
So your console bricks if it doesn't ping Microsoft every 24 hours. Won't impact most people, but anybody on dial-up is screwed.
I'm sure GameStop is dancing in the streets over being given pretty much complete control over used games. eBay sales of used games are impossible. You can loan games to a friend ONCE as long as they've been on your friends list 30 days.
-
I really like how they assume everyone with an Xbox One will have a broadband connection. I saw some comments on another site covering this and the people there pretty much said that if you're too poor to have a broadband connection you shouldn't have an Xbox anyway, completely ignoring that fact that there are still a lot of places in the US where you can't get broadband even if you wanted it. Unless, maybe, you can get satellite.
We have people in our service area here in upstate NY that don't have access to it because it's so rural that Time Warner won't build out their service and Verizon doesn't have COs close enough to provide DSL...hell, Verizon doesn't even have FIOS in that many areas here yet.
I'm assuming Playstation will have similar requirements on some of the used games and whatnot, but the new Microsoft policies are crap and I'm hoping it completely backfires on them...sort of like Windows 8.
E...
-
What a gigantic blunder this is turning into. Sony has a chance to wipe the floor with MS by just dumping these draconian ideas they are talking about. Trouble is that I doubt Sony is smart enough to see anything but the small pile of cash that may be obscuring the mountain of cash behind it.
-
From what I've read, the PS4 will allow for some restrictions at the publisher's discretion. So if EA wants to force you to be online or activate the game they can, but it's their option. With the Xbox it's mandatory for all games.
Hopefully the publishers who do opt to enact restrictions on the PS4 see a precipitous decline in software sales which prompts them to abandon the idea.
-
I'm not onboard with any of this crap. I want a video game system that plays games and Blu-rays. I don't want gestures, voice commands, advertising, television integration, social media... none of it.
Just put a disc in it, and play.
-
Price announced: $499.
-
I like the gasp from the audience when they said that.
-
Between the price and the inability to buy/sell used games, I think they are in big trouble. It looks like PS4 should easily outsell Xbox 1. However, I'm sure each platform has its fanboys so only time will tell.
-
Looks like Microsoft's E3 presentation didn't win over gamers...

I think it looks terrible for Microsoft, but I'd like to know what kind of poll that is and who's running it before we say that 7% of people are buying an Xbox One and 57% are buying a PS4.
I'm guessing an online poll at a Playstation fan site, but I'd love to know one way or another.
-
It's from GameFAQs.com - a "non-partisan" web site that caters to hardcore gamers.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/index.html?poll=5117
I wouldn't have posted it if it was from some PS4 fan site. ;)

Fair enough, but hardcore gamers also have a very different opinion in general than mom's and dads buying video games for 10 or 15 year old's.
Just saying, they probably aren't examining the whole customer base if the numbers are THAT skewed.
-
Well I'm planning on buying a PS4. I just don't need all the TV crap the xbox one does. I can already do that with my HTPC.

Rumor:
http://kotaku.com/microsoft-is-removing-xbox-one-drm-514390310
his could be the biggest backtrack in gaming history: Microsoft will reverse course on their DRM policies for Xbox One, dropping their Internet requirements and all restrictions on used games, according to the websites WhatHiFi and GiantBomb.
According to both reports, the announcement will be made today.
UPDATE: Looks like Microsoft is updating their Xbox One Q&A, but the new page isn't live yet. We're updating as we learn more.
Citing multiple sources, GiantBomb says Microsoft has decided to remove a laundry list of Xbox One restrictions that customers considered negative:
No more always online requirement
The console no longer has to check in every 24 hours
All game discs will work on Xbox One as they do on Xbox 360
Authentication is no longer necessary
An Internet connection is only required when initially setting up the console
All downloaded games will function the same when online or offline
No additional restrictions on trading games or loaning discs
Region locks have been dropped

So now all you'll need to worry about is Kinect constantly watching you...
It'd be a great victory for consumers if this turns out to be true.
-
Unless you have a piece of duct tape or cardboard to put over it. :P
This appears to be true as of now, so I'm probably leaning away from PS4 now, whereas I was leaning towards it just yesterday. I like HALO (as do the kids) and the Xbox Controller is much more appealing to me... I never dug the kid's PS controllers... I kind of expected this from Microsoft though. They obviously had a meltdown of consumer support, so I really was expecting something, but not this soon.
I'm still waiting to see these both out for a little bit though. Definitely not pre-ordering or getting one for the holidays or whatnot. I want to see both in person first, and let them be out there for a while to see if either has any issues at all that I'd care about.
I guess you can plug your 360 into the One too... What that does, I don't know, but ok since I have a 360. Whatever then.
-
Unless you have a piece of duct tape or cardboard to put over it. :P
Nope - won't play if it doesn't detect you.
-
I've not read that... You sure? I know my Kinect isn't exactly the most accurate. They'd better have perfected that technology.
That said, I don't think that's gonna bother me anyway... It can watch me get lazier all it wants.
-
They were talking about how for streamed movies the Kinect can count the number of people watching - and if it exceeds the number permitted by license (4 I think), the One will prompt you to pay for additional viewers. And games won't play at all if the Kinect doesn't see you.
-

Microsoft: "You are in control of when Kinect sensing is On, Off or Paused: If you don’t want the Kinect sensor on while playing games or enjoying your entertainment, you can pause Kinect. To turn off your Xbox One, just say “Xbox Off.” When the system is off, it’s only listening for the single voice command -- “Xbox On,” and you can even turn that feature off too. Some apps and games may require Kinect functionality to operate, so you’ll need to turn it back on for these experiences."

I think Bill is making crap up now.
Personally I think the DRM crap will slowly creep back into the xbox and ps4. If that happens, I would boycott any developer (I'm looking at you EA) that enforces it.
-
I'm not making it up! :P (http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2013/05/24/patent-suggest-kinect-could-charge-per-person-when-playing-a-movie/)

I'm not making it up! :P (http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2013/05/24/patent-suggest-kinect-could-charge-per-person-when-playing-a-movie/)
If companies produced and implemented everything that they had patents for, we'd live in a very different world. Is there any evidence that they've actually developed that technology and put it into the Xbox One?
-
Yeah my comment was more based on what Rob said... The Kinect isn't dictating things with the system, though Jeff's suspicions probably are fair and it could somehow shut down the entire house once you hook it up and never stop growing.
That said, with the reversal, I'm back to leaning towards an Xbox whereas I had been leaning to a PS4, only because I like Xbox's controller better and HALO's a series I've come to enjoy. $100 is worth that to me... The Kinect's not an issue, my 360 hooks up to it for some reason I can't explain yet and since I have one that's a good thing I guess, and I don't stream movies anyhow. :) I just use Comcast for renting junk, if I ever do.
I'm pretty happy... I was very outraged, angry, disappointed, whatever, but I've been swayed so far. By I figure Spring I'll get a new system. Doubt earlier, but you never know. I wanna see both though, and how either one does.
-
Was streaming Netflix just now when guess what, Xbox Live goes down. Which got me thinking, what happens when Microsoft's servers screw up and can't connect to our systems? Is the system still playable?
-
The system is still playable since the always on item has been turned off. Netflix is in every home eletronic device around. If the XBox won't let me watch a movie because I have too many people in the room, then I'll turn on my bluray player or use the Netflix built into my TV.
However, here are some articles about why Microsoft's backpedal is a bad idea and what we are sacrificing. Microsoft just can't win with tech journalists can they?

Trying typing phrase "The xbox one is" into both Bing and Google and see what happens.

Finally, someone at Microsoft has a brain!
-
Welp, this announcement settles the "XB1 or PS4" debate for me.

I gambled. I won. :)

Now if they'd make it so I could easily back up my content without subscribing to their cloud service, I'd be so happy.

I'm wondering if I can figure out a way to copy over my 360 hard drive.

Me too, I'm not sure how downloaded content and saved games work with this latest announcement.

Interesting take on BC. (http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnarcher/2015/06/17/xbox-one-backwards-compatibility-is-exactly-the-wrong-move-for-microsoft/)
"My main issue with it is this: that it aligns the Xbox One with the past right at the time when the console should most be focussed on the future."
This is inane. BC was the most requested feature by a mile. It was one of the reasons I considered not buying one initially. People have dozens, sometimes hundreds of older games and would like their new, powerful system to be able to play them as well. And now they can - and it's going to drive even more sales.
-
Fair enough. At this point in the current generation, I can't imagine going back to play old PS3 games on any regular basis. I have about 4 games for the PS4 I still need to play, plus whatever comes out in the next few months while I'm playing those. I never catch up. Maybe you guys just have a ton more time to play games than I do.
Which games on the Xbox 360 BC list do you plan to play on your Xbox One?
-
I agree with Rob... BC was a huge bitch about the new consoles and I have zero time to game, but I enjoy playing some old 360 games sometimes and want that option. I will now bring my 360 home and play kotor on it here and will finish my lego games on he one at my gf's. My gf's son will be happy he can play all his Assassins Creed games on the One since the 360 was collecting dust till I hook it up.
I have zero time to game but this was awesome to me. Plus I can bring the 360 home now and open up some more time I didn't have before.
-
For me, the older GTAs and Red Dead Redemption are games I pop in from time to time. Plus they don't make NCAA sports games anymore, so there's another. Of course it looks like none of these are going to be BC anyway.
-

Which games on the Xbox 360 BC list do you plan to play on your Xbox One?
Well, I regularly play old Resident Evil games... I could definitely see myself playing through last generation games again - things like the Bioshock series... then I have a few that I just haven't gotten to yet like Dark Souls and Dark Souls II. I bought Portal 2 and haven't gotten to it yet... there are others. I don't have as much time as I'd like to for video games, but I'm also the guy that still has an NES hooked up. I like having access to everything, the more access the better. And to me a fancy new, powerful, xBox should be able to easily handle the lighter older games without me having to use an older, less powerful system.
It wasn't a deal breaker to not have it, but I'm really happy that it'll be there going forward.

I know you have a weird Sony thing going, but you're really reaching for a point here, as if that's it and there won't be dozens more titles added to the list this year, and many more beyond that.
-
I bought Portal 2 and haven't gotten to it yet...
Dude....you need to get moving on that one! :D
Tell me about it. I'm playing Resident Evil HD right now, have Revelations 2 to play, and then am moving to that or Dark Souls next.
-
I know you have a weird Sony thing going
Thanks for being as condescending as always...
-
So it's going to be like the X-Box 360 with backwards compatibility. A few games at first as a test (glad to see Mass Effect in there) and they will add games over time. Eventually, pretty much every game will be playable.
-

Condescending was dismissing the whole BC program because the list of titles 3 days after it's announcement isn't terribly lengthy.

No, it'll be a lot better than it was on the 360. On the 360 it was done on a game-by-game basis and was a giant pain in the ass for everyone involved (MS/developers/publishers), resulting in glitchy games and a spotty library.
This time, MS has just emulated the entire 360 OS on the One, so the bulk of the work is already done. All they'll really need now from publishers is approval, so most games will be able to carry over no problem. The only ones that definitely won't carry over are games that require Kinect or other hardware, like Rock Band.
Speaking of Mass Effect, it actually runs better on the One than it did on the 360 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjblk1ADq9k).

Oddly enough, when I looked up condescending just now, I still felt like it applied to your post where you (to me at least) sarcastically declared the short, initial title list as being all the options I had to choose from. Maybe I inferred too much because I thought you were responding to my post about what titles I'd go back and play, or have yet to play, and because you're the lone voice somehow suggesting that this whole BC thing is a bad move, but there you have it.
-
Nope, I wasn't talking down to you at all. I was making the point that the BC library is garbage right now. People who are being sold the idea "Eventually, pretty much every game will be playable" are being misled. In fact, Microsoft has stated that even games that win their poll of which games should be added aren't guaranteed to be made. At this point, we don't know how many it'll happen with, or if it'll end up being anywhere close to "pretty much every game." Jesse thinking he can unplug his 360 because he can play AC, or Diddly wanting to go back and play Red Dead - those conclusion have no basis in fact. And we don't know the rate at which they'll add games either. Who cares if it's a library of 300 games if it takes 5 years to get there, and everyone has moved on to the Xbox Two?
It might end up having a large library. They might come out fast. Or maybe those things won't happen. Nobody knows for sure. Treating this announcement as something it isn't is just dishonest. All we know right now is you'll definitely be able to pop in your old copy of Viva Piñata.
-
Ok ladies....back to your corners.

Some good titles... Definitely glad Lego TCS got in because I like replaying it a lot. Also AC II and some others.
How'd I not even know Doom and Doom II were available?
-
So far, it looks like there will be deals aplenty on BF for the new consoles. Both XB1 and PS4 seem to be going for ~$300 with varying perks depending on the store. One store has the WiiU at $250.
-
Any chance we'll see a Battlefront bundle at that price? So far everything I've seen teased is for bundles with other games.
-
The Battlefronts bundle is exclusive to Playstation 4.
https://www.playstation.com/en-us/campaigns/2015/star-wars-ps4-bundles/
-
Okay, so I'm going to pick up a XBone soon so I can play Battlefront (Xbox beats PS4 since I have friends with the system for online, plus Halo). However, I've heard that I can save some cash by buying the 500GB system and adding my own external hard drive for additional storage space. Is this true?
-
Yes. I have a Yahoo article on Xbox BF deals too I will post here later for you too.
I haven't hooked an external HD up yet but have every intention to eventually.
-
My neighbor picked up Battlefront and invited us over last night to check it out. Wow. The graphics and game play at just the basic levels were amazing. It's like you're creating your own movie every time you play. I've already got an XBox One, so going to have to pick this up quickly and get the live subscription.
-

Cool, thanks Jesse. I'm debating waiting for Black Friday deals but most stores are running a deal right now where you get a free game when you buy a console.
I figure I'll need an external HD at some point, especially since most games are going to be at least 30GB and the space will fill up fast, but I'm a physical media guy and buy 1-2 games per year so I figure I'll be good for a few years.
-
No problem, I had it saved anyway for myself. I need to get the boys some controllers and I need a recharge kit so i figured I'd hang onto the story otherwise I'll forget.
Here you go:
https://games.yahoo.com/news/xbox-one-black-friday-deals-200002495.html
I played the BF Beta, and I had a pretty good time in it... So I'm picking it up this weekend sometime, probably at BB if they aren't sold out. Visually, totally agree with Justin that it's stunning to look at. The Sullust map was a blast just to look at. I've had ample customizing inspiration playing it. Hell, they even narfed my idea of mesh/netting over landing pads! I think that's on Tatooine's map or Hoth.
Anyway though yeah, I loved what I saw/played for the most part. My only gripes are:
-Too few maps... They won't have more till Jakku and then some downloadable next year. That's kinda ****** given how many maps you get with a COD or HALO game. No reason NOT to give you more... Why not some random stuff ya know?
-Weapons are too similar... COD, HALO, etc., pretty much all have this mapped out to perfection, and yet Battlefront, for reasons nobody can explain that I've seen, has just basically one weapon after the next that are all fairly equal/similar. I'd have liked to have seen a broader diversity of what the gear does.
Now I've heard the BF designers wanted the game to be more "friendly" to casual gamers... Going into MP for a lot of FPS games can basically leave you feeling pretty deterred if you don't play a LOT. Not to mention guys who hack their stuff and basically cheat, on top of the people who are just so insanely lifeless they're amazingly good at headshotting everyone without much effort. :P I get BF wanting to be a little more user friendly, but you HAVE to have weapon diversity to cater to the different style of gamer.
It doesn't seem like you can boost your character's speed much, and things like that. I also am not a fan of the inability to drop to the ground... Just little differences.
I don't have a ton of time to play FPS games, but the last one I played completely (Titanfall) is SOOOOO well done that I'd have liked to have seen them attempt to include some of the weapon classes and character classes mixed into the Star Wars universe, from that game. I think as a basic FPS game then BF sort of may trail behind the others. As a Star Wars experience FPS, obviously it has no equal so it has inherent enjoyment. How long will people stick to that though?
I've not played a COD game for a couple years now... I'm sure I'm out of practice to even be competitive at it, so I'm curious how playing Battlefront will feel since I'm so out of the loop on this stuff. Might be a little bit better to get some BF fun in before Titanfall2 comes out, and my K/D rate plummets. :-[
-
OK, so I got BF this weekend, and the kids got COD. Nice way to compare/contrast.
I gotta say, I feel more to the negative now on BF... Here's my list of beefs, which kind of reinforce the above ones.
-Characters/classes/weapons are not nearly upgradeable enough. If you're familiar with COD, you can beef up your weapons and your character with different abilities, and while you can do that in BF, you can't do it enough. They really needed to invent some new weapons for this game, and not hem themselves in on what is shown in the films only. I mean they're sending you out with things like a Jawa ion gun and things. It's silly that they didn't get creative and just pulled from the universe's existing weapons. Hell, delve into the EU if you have to, but move out of the movies, and make them customizable! Different sites, invent suppressors, etc. Make it work.
And character classes... I want more than just a guy with a jetpack. I want faster guys, stronger (IE: "tanks") guys like wookiees, etc. Make scout classes, scout sniper classes, tech/demo classes, infantry, heavy infantry, etc., etc. They kinda do it, but half-assed. Not nearly as complex/layered as other games (COD, basically). Add in some innovation and they could've made this Star Wars-focused and not just a skin to an existing game like COD or BF.
-Maps... biggest complaint, easily, is lack of content/environments. You have a plethora of EU to dip into. You have a ton of amazing worlds, and even stations/ships to pick from that you could've built your maps on. You didn't even do a friggin' storyline/SP to this game, so why would you not do things like make a map of the Death Star? Other games give a LOT more in the initial launch. I get the DLC is coming, but you're gonna basically repay for this game when it's available and that just flat out blows. They didn't deliver nearly enough maps.
-Vehicle Combat... Feels fairly worthless and unbalanced IMO, but maybe that's just me. Just didn't hold much appeal after one or two rounds of it, and I went right back to ground combat.
Basically it's GORGEOUS, and it's Star Wars, so there's this part of it that I inherently enjoy. That said, if you've not bought this, I'd say don't. It's over-hyped by a mile and a half to me.
At the same time, the kids got COD... I enjoyed it much more. I may not be as young as I used to be and COD is harder and harder to play MP, but the SP was fun and the MP I seemed to get back into well enough. My K/D is ****, but it's **** in BF too and there's less strategy in BF I found. At least I could find a groove in COD. BF was all run/gun mostly, and you don't even run as quickly with any character change. ::)
I'm wishing I'd waited on BF, but I'll live. First game I've bought in ages. I'll play it, but at this point I feel like it's mostly for inspiration to make cargo boxes and stuff I see around me. It REALLY is pretty. It's got immersive (and LARGE) environments to explore. But you're in a FPS, so you're getting tore up while you stare at the butterflies. I've found fun with BF, but I'd definitely have waited knowing what I know now.
-
So....still better than Force Commander? ;D
-
Actually, and in all honesty Matt, no. :-\
For me that argument would be that FC had no real competition... It was what it was, and no game save for much later EAW compared. This... I'd rather just play COD or Titanfall. :-X
It's purdy though, and as customizing inspiration goes, it's kinda like Force Commander. :)
It made me want to make boxes. Just random boxes.
It is very much like Force Commander in that it was greatly hyped, and a major letdown ultimately. :P

And there's gonna be another new Xbox One coming out late next year.
-
So I finally bit the bullet and purchased an Xbox one elite this week. It took me a bit of time to transfer my profile over and it's been installing Halo 5 and the masterchief collection for the past day and a half. It's already used 20% of the ont TB drive and it's only got those two games and Mass Effect loaded.
I will actually get some game playing time tonight, but so far I'm not overly impressed.
-
The download speeds are RIDICULOUSLY slow. It took me 12 hours to download Red Dead Redemption last month, which is ridiculous considering I own the physical copy of the game. My Internet speeds aren't great by any means but the system limits download speeds to roughly 15MB/s. Really sad.
-
It feels like the 360 also limited download speeds and I have fios. It always took forever to get it's stupid system updates. My ps3 updates a lot faster. Also, why do publishers make you download the entire game even if you have the physical disc because they have patches. Does that mean the physical disc is so flawed that it is completely unplayable upon release? Have they ever heard of Quality Control?
-
They must not patch the software, and thus force you to download completely fresh versions.
My son and I end up getting in to arguments about screen time and these updates. He's allowed about an hour of screen time to play xbox and every now and then I tell him to turn off the xbox and he says he hasn't even started yet because he is still waiting for the OS or the game to update.
Not sure why they don't have a function that lets you choose when to apply the updates (maybe the do and we haven't figured it out).
-

The Xbox One doesn't play Xbox 360 discs directly. It's all done through software emulation. The physical 360 disc only serves as a validation tool - that the disc is in the machine. It doesn't do anything beyond that. It's similar to how game installs worked on the 360.

well sh!t if I'd known xbox was going to have all these BC games available I would've gotten it over the PS4. that and I just saw the commercial for Titanfall 2
-
Titanfall 2 is getting some pretty solid backing/reviews... I'd heard there was some concern it was gonna fail because of delays and such, but so far things are looking good for it. I can't game much anymore but I'll make myself play some Titanfall 2.

Any suggestions on an Xbox One game to get for kids ages 7-10?
-
My buddy's 6 year old lives and breathes Minecraft. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm guessing 7-10 year olds are into it too.
-
Yeah, the kids have that one already.
I guess I should have asked if there are any newish games that have come out in the past six months or are coming out in the next few weeks that people would recommend for that age range.
The last new game we picked up was TFA Lego which for some reason they really never got in to as much as some of the Avengers Lego game.
-
FIFA and Rocket League seem like kids would like them... it's tough since Xbox mainly caters to teens and older with the million shooter games
-
Yeah, the kids are always asking me for the first person shooter games with a mature rating. Not going to happen with 7-9 year olds.
I'll have to check out Rocket League.
-
My oldest is 6 and he like the Lego games. Did you pick up the Lego: TFA game yet?
-
I find the Lego games always fun Matt, and a lot of replay value... While I don't like it, Battlefront is a fairly tame shooter game. Titanfall I love and consider it a little less violent too since it's got robots and stuff. Shooters may be a little too advanced for the youngest though. :( My gf's kids did ok with them though at that age but that was a long time ago.
-
Can 7-9 year olds play Rock Band / Guitar Hero? I've played those a few times and they seem pretty fun.
-

I've tried a little with my 6 year old, but I think he's a little too young for it. I bet if I let him play more...he'd be better. It could be worth it with your kids Dave.

Hell, I bought an X-box one back in July and other than Halo5...I've just been replaying Mass Effect! :D
-
Just got Titanfall 2 on WM's Black Friday price and I'm surprised at its rating. I considered it on par with Battlefront in terms of violence... I wonder if BF has a mature rating too? Never looked at it or thought about that till now.
-
Some solid additions to the BC lineup since last time:
- Astropop
- Burnout Paradise
- Dead Space Ignition
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
- Escape Dead Island
- Guardian Heroes
- Medal of Honor: Airborne
- Military Madness: Nectaris
- Omega Five
- Operation Flashpoint: Red River
- Pure
- Rayman Legends
- Scarygirl
- Skate 3
- Trine 2
-
I grabbed Titanfall 2 for $30 on WM.com last weekend... pick up today. Cannot wait to play next weekend some. Just hoping I'm able to without adverse reaction to the screen.
-
I'm a novice with video games.
We have an Xbox One and my son really wants Lego Indiana Jones. It appears its only compatible with Xbox 360. What do you think the chances of them creating backward compatibility for this in the future? Not sure if they've made any particular statements about all 360 games will eventually be backward compatible on Xbox One or not.
-
That one seems likely IMHO but that's very up in the air. Tough one to guess on. No real basis one way or the other.
-
There are a handful of LEGO games which have been made BC (Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean, and SW: The Complete Saga), so it's a possibility, but it's been a while (Feb. 2016) since the last one was added.
The Xbox website has a place to vote/leave feedback on what games go BC, but what effect that really has is anyone's guess, as it's generally up to the game's publisher if/when a game goes BC. But leaving feedback can't hurt, you know?
LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures (https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/298503-backwards-compatibility/suggestions/8377950-lego-indiana-jones-the-original-adventures)
LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues (https://xbox.uservoice.com/forums/298503-backwards-compatibility/suggestions/8377953-lego-indiana-jones-2-the-adventure-continues)
I would guess we'll see one or both of those games eventually, but it may be a while. Perhaps as we get closer to Indy 5 in 2019.
-
I didn't know about the voting so I was just checking it out... I was really excited to see that they're working on the Bioshock games.
I'd love a day when I can just install everything on the XB1 and shelve the 360.
-
The BioShock games probably won't ever be made BC. They were announced late last year, but apparently 2K was already in the middle of porting them to the current consoles, and why would you give people the old games for free when you can sell them new "remastered" versions instead? So the Xbox 360 versions are kind of stuck in BC limbo.
Anyway, be sure to check out BioShock: The Collection for Xbox One, available at a retailer near you, for $49.99.

They shouldn't list them as in progress then on that voting page...
As for the 3-pack, I saw it at Best Buy yesterday at lunch... it was only $29.99
If it hit $20 I'd probably pick it up.
-
Picked up an Xbox one S with Battlefield 1 for $249 at amazon yesterday.

I'm going to need a bigger HD to get all these 360 games installed.

Xbox offers a free game to celebrate 300 backward-compatible titles (http://www.polygon.com/2016/12/14/13959486/xbox-one-backward-compatibility-free-game-offer)
Xbox is celebrating the addition of the three BioShock games to the Xbox One's backward compatibility catalog by offering one for free to everyone: Lost Odyssey.
Larry Hryb, better known as Xbox Live's Major Nelson, tweeted out the offer this afternoon. Lost Odyssey will be available for free until Dec. 31. Additionally, the JRPG Blue Dragon also is available for purchase online. Previously the two titles had been backward-compatible only by putting the original Xbox 360 disc in the tray.
Yesterday, Phil Spencer, the head of Microsoft's Xbox division, noted that nearly half of all Xbox One owners use the console to play backward-compatible games. The feature launched in November 2015, and since then all of the games offered for Xbox 360 in the Games With Gold program have been backward-compatible titles.
-
How does this work? Do you need a gold live account thing? How do you download these?
-
Lost Odyssey is free for everyone through the 31st. You should be able to access it on your Xbox One console. You can also access it through Xbox.com.
You do need an Xbox LIVE Gold account for the Games with Gold program mentioned in that quote. That gives you several different free Xbox One and Xbox 360 games (which are all BC) each month.
-
I'm always late to the part, but I just found out about Ace Combat 7. I used to love those games, so I'm excited. The clouds in this trailer look awesome too:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mpgwu-xpG5w
-
My gold account is croaking soon... looks like time to start looking for a new deal on that.
-
I have a $10 off coupon for anything at Best Buy because my birthday is in January....might use it on a new Xbox live Gold card.

Totally forgot that I got my membership last year around this time. Just paid full price for XBox Live ::) I couldn't find anything online for under $50, and almost all of those were sold out or required shipping (and I wanted to play tonight). Sucks paying full price, but worth the extra $10 not to dick around with it all night.
-
GTA IV goes backwards-compatible today. Other BC titles added since last time:
- Alice: Madness Returns
- Battlefield 3
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2
- Beat'n Groovy

- BioShock 2
- BioShock Infinite

- Clannad
- Dragon Age: Origins
- Ghostbusters: The Video Game
- Haunted House
- Injustice: Gods Among Us
- Juju
- LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
- Mad Tracks
- Mega Man 9
- Mega Man 10

- Rocket Knight
- Scrap Metal
- Shadowrun
- Shadows of the Damned
- Shotest Shogi
- Skydive: Proximity Flight
- Space Ark
- The Splatters
- Strania
- Tekken 6
-
I'm thinking of picking up Lego Indian Jones for my son. This is an older game so there are lots of used copies out there. Anybody have any advice pro/con on buying used video games vs. buying new?
-
Make sure the disc isn't scratched and don't expect any included DLC codes to work.
-
Awesome, so with GTAIV, all I need is for them to make NCAA Football and LA Noire backwards compatible and I can toss my 360
-
In general used copies are generally ok but if a games real old look around for a new unsold copy for cheap even on eBay. Just my preference.
-
So, has anyone else had issues with their XBOX Live Subscription? Mine ran out at the end of the year, so a few weeks back I picked up a new one at full price. Found today that XBOX charged my credit card twice. I called up to get one payment cancelled and was presented with the offer to keep both payments and extend my sub to 2019. I said no, but was asked THREE MORE TIMES. Then they transferred me to someone who literally sounded like she was trying to stall to keep me on the line while they traced the number or robbed my garage. At one point, she gave me a 25 digit code checking in on each individual number. "The next letter that is in the code is going to be the letter J...for Joline, okay? That is a J which is the next character in the series, so you will want to enter a J next, alright? Let me know when you have entered the letter J and then we can advance to the next number or letter in the series." Now re-read that at one-third speed and you have my call-in experience. I'm a pretty patient guy, but was easily 60 seconds away from my head exploding. Then it took her forever to tell me they completely cancelled my subscription(!) instead of just trimming off the extra year. So, I had to get a cancellation notice, then re-register and enter a code for a "free" year of XBOX. Which conveniently auto-renews. Love my XBOX, but that CS is a joke.
-
I've been buying the Live subscription cards for about a year now for that very reason. My credit card expired last year and I forgot to update it with Live, so they charged me like $50, $10 for the month and then the rest were "nonpayment fees" or some BS. Then it refused to let me use a subscription card until I paid them. Took about an hour on the phone to get that mess cleared up.
-
Never put your credit card into an online subscription service considering how often the Playstation network has been hacked.
-
Have any of you bought the elite controller? I'm wondering if there's any real reason to spend $130-$140 on one of them? I don't play online... I just play single player games in the vein of Resident Evil, Gears of War, Skyrim, Bioshock...
-
If I don't even play online I cannot imagine a single reason to buy a controller that expensive. The regularly priced ones I wait for sales even.

I got a good deal on the Elite version of the X-box which came with the controller. It's nice, but I don't even use the extra paddles that come with it. When it came time for me to get a second controller (to play Lego TFA with my son), I did not feel the need to purchase a second one.

Microsoft Unveils $10 Monthly Gaming Subscription Service For Xbox One (http://kotaku.com/microsoft-unveils-10-monthly-gaming-subscription-servi-1792818880)
Coming this spring to the Xbox One, the Xbox Game Pass will give console owners access to over 100 Xbox One and backwards compatible games for $9.99 a month.
The Xbox Game Pass is not a streaming service, like PlayStation Now, but a game download subscription along the lines of EA Access. Subscribers who pay the $9.99 monthly fee will be able to choose from games like Halo 5: Guardians, Payday 2, NBA 2K16 and SoulCalibur II (examples given in Microsoft’s official announcement,) downloading them directly to their system and playing them as if they were purchased digitally. Subscribers will be able to purchase the games in the catalog at a discount (20 percent off games, 10 percent off add-ons,) adding them permanently to their Xbox library.
The Xbox Game Pass will start rolling out today to select members of the Xbox Insider program today, with plans to launch exclusively for Xbox Live Gold subscribers before going live for all Xbox One owners this spring.
-
My account croaked right in time to download that, so basically yeah, but hey, I have it on disc anyway so I'll just play it that way. It's sorta meh as gaming goes but it's got amazing graphics and fun places to explore at least. Still wasn't a great game IMHO. Just kinda dull. Cool action figures though.
-
So this Xbox Gamer Pass is basically what Nintendo is doing with the Switch, where you get access to different demos every month? Pretty lame. I'll stick to just buying 2-3 games a year or staying 6 months behind and getting everything for a discount.

They're not demos. They're full games. And as long as you're paying the $10/month to subscribe, you can play them whenever you want.

Hey Matt, are there any sites you use to check on rumors or expected release dates for new BC titles?
I bought a 4T HD a few weeks ago and finally got all my 360 saves off that machine and into the cloud, then I installed all the 360 games I have that are in the BC library as of now, but I'm left with a few that I'm hoping will make the cut at some point. I wonder if with the Xbox titles getting attention now that maybe some of these last titles won't ever get done. The titles I'm waiting on are:
COD: Modern Warfare 2 (I was able to find news that this one is rumored)
COD: Modern Warfare 3
COD: Modern Warfare 4
COD: World at War - Is in the BC List already, but didn't work for me when I put the disc in. I'm going to try it again this weekend.
Resident Evil Revelations
Medal of Honor: Warfighter
Medal of Honor Limited Edition
Silent Hill Homecoming.
Other than the Guitar Hero games which I assume aren't going to happen, and I don't care about really, I could be done with my 360 if just those titles get added... so now I'm all curious.

The BC thread at NeoGAF (http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1408725) was always my go-to, and I assume there are similar discussions at Reddit. Xbox doesn't usually announce BC title dates in advance anymore.

Activision released an updated version of COD4: Modern Warfare last year as a pack-in with COD: Infinite Warfare and this year as a standalone title (COD: Modern Warfare Remastered). Probably reasonable to assume that the 360 version won't be going BC anytime soon, if ever. But, as experience has shown with the BioShock and old 360 Halo titles coming to BC after their updated versions were already released, certainly anything is possible.
Wouldn't be surprised to see updated versions of MW2 and 3 in the next couple of years.
Capcom just released RE Revelations for Xbox One a few months ago, so again, probably won't see the 360 version go BC. Capcom hasn't brought any of their 360 RE titles to BC. They've just chosen to release new versions instead.
No idea on the others. Hang on to that 360 for now.
-
BC on CoD always blows my mind that people are interested since, for the most part, new CoD is usually better CoD

New CoD is basically the last CoD with new skins.
Although Infinite Warfare had those space battles.
BTW, KOTOR is BC on X-Box one!

That's helpful. Thanks for the info. I did manage to get World at War to install yesterday, so that's done. I'm not beyond paying $15 or whatever to just get the remastered / re-released versions of games just to get it all moved over. So I'll probably end up doing that with Revelations at a minimum. I'm still waiting on the RE2 remaster... and then hopefully they do 3 and Code Veronica X after that.
The Call of Duty games... I'm not even sure if I care. If I get to the point where I'm keeping a console around just for those, I'll probably let it go.
-
Not necessarily just on X-box, but Mass Effect Andromeda is $20 or less.
For that price, the game is totally worth it.
-
I dunno man, CoD usually has innovation in the game be it parkour crap or whatever it takes to make it feel new. I couldn't see going and playing MW after all these other MW replacements. There is usually some improvement. Not always tho. :-\
-
Side question... if I'm thinking of upgrading to the Xbox One X, there's no reason to keep the Xbox One right?
-
I wandered over to Best Buy just now by my office and they had one XBox One X that was an online order someone had canceled. So I bought it.
-
Xbox One X is basically an Xbox One that can play 4k games and stream 4k Netflix, right?
-
Yeah, it's an xbox one with all upgraded hardware and 4K capabilities.

I haven't played it yet, but I did just buy it for like $10. I'll get around to it sometime in the next two years I'm sure.
I'm playing the new Wolfenstein right now... love those games.

I played the single player missions for Titanfall 2. Fun game!

I was right! MW2 hit BC today, and MW3 went BC back in June.
-
I saw that! I got MW3 installed back then, and I'll do MW2 tonight.
I'm down to 20 total games for BC before I could ditch my old systems:
360:
[ ] Lego Star Wars II - Original Trilogy
[ ] Medal of Honor
[ ] Medal of Honor: Warfighter
[ ] Resident Evil: Code Veronica X
[ ] Silent Hill: Homecoming
[ ] Skyrim
[ ] Blazing Angels 2
[ ] Ace Combat 6
XBOX:
[ ] Call of Duty: Finest Hour
[ ] Half-Life 2
[ ] Heroes of the Pacific
[ ] Medal of Honor: European Assault
[ ] Medal of Honor: Frontline
[ ] Medal of Honor: Rising Sun
[ ] Secret Weapons Over Normandy
[ ] Silent Hill 2
[ ] Silent Hill 4: The Room
[ ] Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2 - Jedi Outcast
[ ] Thing (The)
[ ] Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4
I know Skyrim isn't likely with the Special Edition out there, but I have hopes that eventually the rest will happen and I'll be able to get rid of them. Although occasionally I'll just buy a new game when it comes out for BC, so... yeah, I love that they're doing this and are still doing it.
Also, while I'm really excited about the new REII coming, I'm hoping that old-school RE2 and 3 will show up on Xbox somehow eventually, with Code Veronica X.
-
RE:CVX is now BC
-
Oooooh...
So I had that one as a digital purchase for the xbox 360 (IIRC it never came out physically)...
Hopefully that purchase shows up and I can download it without having to buy it again.

One of the JK games (Jedi Academy) is even free right now through Xbox Live Gold.
-
I finally loaded BF2 and now no space for much else. 🙄
-
If you're Gold, you can still "buy" it for free and cancel the download. That way you'll still have access to it when you have the space freed up. And it's only 2GB, anyway.
-
Resident Evil CVX downloaded and installed last night... no issues with the old purchase.
Resident Evil 3 and the original RE2 are the only ones I'm still waiting on, and I love it.

(poop)

Hmmm did not know that. Thanks for the work around advice.

So I didn't realize that the June BC releases were going to be the last ones... That program has been incredible and I love everything about it, but I'm bummed that it's ending. I was this many games away from being able to get rid of the old Xbox and 360...
360:

I hope that once Project Scarlett is done, that they'll relaunch the program.
-
Rob, you might be able to move your saved games to cloud storage.
-
I think they're all on cloud storage - but I wouldn't be able to play them if I ditched the old consoles without those last few being BC, which is my real goal / hope.
-
Some decent sales going up today on Xbox for May the 4th. For Xbox One, there's Battlefront I/II, Jedi Fallen Order, LEGO TFA, Pinball FX tables, and a bunch of 360 and OG Xbox SW titles that are backwards-compatible.
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/promotions/sales/may-the-4th-sale
Pretty good sales on Steam today, too
https://store.steampowered.com/sale/star-wars
Probably be some other sales coming up for PlayStation and Switch as well
-
So they ended the BC program to focus on project Scarlett. Now that the console is almost done, has there been any indication that they might spin it up again and start adding more titles??
-
I don't think we'll see any new additions between now and November, when the new console comes out, if that's what you're asking. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were some new ones added when or after the console launches. They're trying to make the Series X as backwards-compatible as possible. Anything that's playable on an Xbox One now should be playable on the Series X. And hopefully a bunch more.
-
Yeah I didn't specifically mean before launch, I was just broadly wondering if they'd ever officially said that the program would come back once they were able to stop focusing on developing the new console.
I also saw that games for the new console can only be installed on the internal storage, and external sticks you can add. Will it still take old fashion USB 3.0 HDD's to play older games off of? One of my favorite things is having everything installed and either instantly playable, or only needing the disc to be put in to be ready to go.
-
Anyone have any tips on ways to actually box an Xbox Series X?
I've been refreshing 5 store's websites once or five times per day for months and haven't even come close.
-
Apparently there are places on social media where advanced notices get posted about when stock is added to stores' inventory.
I managed to score one right before Christmas via BestBuy after trying multiple times there, at Target, and Wal-Mart with some inside intel on when the inventory was getting added. It was still a ton of work to make it happen with inside intel, so I feel your pain.
I did finally find success at BestBuy when logged in to my BB rewards account. I had a couple different browsers up at the time and noticed that there were different offers available to Silver Elite Rewards Member me vs. Incognito me. I think they're giving preferential treatment to rewards members.
-
Okay thanks, I'm not going to go around following social media groups, but I'll at least make sure I'm logged into my BB account.
-
Okay thanks, I'm not going to go around following social media groups, but I'll at least make sure I'm logged into my BB account.
Yeah, I didn't bother either. Luckily where I live (Minneapolis) is home to BestBuy and Target, and I know bunches of people that work at both that were able to feed me some intel that helped.
From my sources - at Christmas BestBuy was selling ALL of their stock via their web site and Target was sending nearly all to their stores, although you could buy online for pickup in the store if your local store had stock. Not sure if they've changed in the past two months, but spending time on Target's web site other than very early in the morning may be a waste of time.
Good luck!
-
I thought these would be all over the place after the holidays. I was super lucky to snag one at Lake Street Target a few days before Christmas. They organized it so you bought online, then picked up in store, and even offered to escort me to my car for safety. What a weird world we live in. I would contact your closest Target electronics manager and/or walmart manager and ask them for the scoop. They might be able to give you some idea of when more are coming or the best way to secure them. Those guys will definitely get a lot more stock than anybody else. You could also try Facebook Marketplace - maybe the scalpers have come down in price after the holiday craze.
-
That’s a good idea. Maybe I can just find a sympathetic employee to help me get one at the store. Facebook market place is a no go for me, I deleted my account about 3 years ago and never looked back.
Thanks for the idea!
-

You do realize that you picked the local Target in probably the worst neighborhood, and the one that was looted and nearly burned down in the riots?
I'd probably want an escort to my car after buying hot dogs much less a $500 gaming console that could be flipped for $1000.
-

It wasn't really a choice - the one time I found an opportunity to get one in stock it was only available at Lake Street. That store is completely rebuilt after the riots and is actually really nice now. It's a huge footprint - they actually have the store pickup section way down at the furthest entrance and several aisles of basic needs stuff as a buffer at the front of the store in a permanent secondary location (water, bath tissue, etc.). It also feels much safer around 11AM than other times of the day.
-
I asked in a Reddit thread for tips and someone suggested the Hot Stock app.... it sends you alerts when things go in stock, and if you pay $5 a month you get alerts ahead of the rest of the users.
So I tried it, and every time I got an alert, I STILL couldn't get to the sites fast enough to get one through checkout. Until yesterday when I managed to buy one at Walmart.com.
Then this morning, the order got canceled. I chatted with their customer service to ask why and they said that it was a duplicate order. So I checked and I didn't have to orders. They said it was because someone else at my address bought one.
Turns out, their algorithm isn't smart enough to recognize apartment numbers, and one of my neighbors in the other apartments in this building bought one.
They said I could re-order... which is nearly impossible, and if I did it would just get canceled again.
A half hour after all this, I got another alert, this time CostCo, and I was able to get an order in through their app.
Fingers crossed that it actually ships.
-
Good luck Rob. I'm willing to be patient and wait until the craziness dies down.
-
Sweet Christmas - I can't believe these are still backlogged 3 months after the holidays. Hope this one goes through for you.
-
So far so good... I trust CostCo's customer service 100x more than Walmart's.
-
Expected delivery tomorrow.... it's finally happening.
That Hot Stock app did work for me, if anyone's looking for another way to get one of these bought. The app isn't just Xbox's, it's all kinds of stuff.

That said, 76 new titles and only ONE is on my list? I'll take it, but that's a bit of a bummer in terms of the ratio.

The article says this is the last batch and that they’ve now reached the limit of what they can bring to the BC catalogue. Very disappointing. :(

I finally saw my first ever Series X in the wild last night at the new Mini-Target near my house. I stopped in on a whim just looking for SW figures, and as I was turning around to walk out, I noticed one lonely Series X sitting in the case. I picked it up, it's crazy that it took more than a year to get one of these. I was pretty stoked to finally get my hands one on.
NGL there was a very small part of me that considered putting it on eBay and trying to find another one later, people are still getting $700+ on them it looks like. But then I felt shame, and I wanted to keep it anyways.

I stopped looking once I found one, but I still haven't seen one in the wild, over a year later. It's crazy.
It's also an incredible machine.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge came out yesterday. It is a love letter to the 1987 TMNT cartoon series. It is like those old Konami Turtles beat-em-ups. It is on GamePass and every other current gaming platform in the world. It is fun and worth checking out.
Rock over London; rock on, Chicago.
Arby's: We've got the meats.

My friend was showing me the trailer and I thought it looked fantastic. It looks like the original arcade game, with slightly better graphics, new levels, and Casey Jones. Definitely going to have to give this one a try.
