Okay Matt, I had a few ideas, spent a bunch of time going through the OT trying to verify with no luck.  :-[  Can I have a hint?  Maybe which movie, or at least which trilogy?  I'm usually pretty good at this but you got me stumped :(

The Prequel Trilogy / Re: Wouldn't the Jedi have sensed it?

Excellent explanation ;D  I agree.  To sum it up, the ROTS novelization states:
War itself puts darkness into the Force, deepening the cloud that limits Jedi perception.  And the clones have no malice, no hatred, not the slightest ill intent that might give warning.  They are only following orders.

Oh I know -- Han to Leia in ANH after they blow up the death star and she hugs him -- he cops a little feel but gets a handful of gaffer's tape instead ;)

They are saying that there have been killings, robbery, and rape.
I, too, believe that people now need to do whatever then can, without harming someone else, in order to help themselves and their family survive.  But, I believe their is a big distinction between doing what is necessary in order for your family to survive and taking advantage of a situation.  These people are already in bad enough shape without having their own brothers and sisters (i.e. people who have been through this with them) doing them harm.  That is lower than low.  What do killing (unless in defense), raping and robbing have to do with survival? >:(

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Gas Prices
« on: September 1, 2005, 06:32 AM »
The lines were bad here late yesterday.  My brother waited in line for over an hour.  He had the pleasure of not only watching a few scuffles break out but also got to see the gas station attendant come out and change the price 2x.  The price went up $.40 while he was waiting.  By 6:00 most stations were down to 1 pump and limiting everyone to $10.00.   I remember when I was a kid and they were rationing gas.  You could only get gas on certain days based on the first letter of your last name.  I remember we had to sleep in the car while my parents waited in line for hours.

Just saw on CNN that Atlanta area gas stations are running out of fuel and the ones that still have gas are charging as much as $4.99/gallon.  The lines here are awful.  My husband has been gone over an hour trying to find a gas station that still has gas -- all of the ones in our area are either out or are nearly out and still have 75-100 cars waiting -- what a mess -- still better off than those who lost everything  :(
