Title: Titanium Series Expanding?
Post by: Ryan on October 19, 2005, 04:11 PM
Alright I'm really confused, supposedly there will be stargate and Battlestar Galactia items shipping with the Titanium line. I thought they were going to be with the Wal-Mart Titanium series because most of them are vehichles, but there is also a Cylon figure in there. Here's the story (http://www.gateworld.net) from Gateworld.

Hasbro will release the first-ever toy Stargate and death glider as part of the upcoming line of Star Wars toys, according to reports at Rebel Scum and TheForce.net. Both Stargate toys and Battlestar Galactica toys will be included as a sort of "expanded universe" along with Hasbro's new Star Wars Titanium line.

Stargate items on the list include:

3-inch Stargate with Stand
3-inch Death Glider ship
Battlestar Galactica items include:

3-inch 1978 Viper vehicle
3-inch 1978 Cylon Raider vehicle
3-inch 2004 Scout ship vehicle
3-inch 2004 Colonial 1
3-inch 2004 Raptor
3-inch 2004 Viper Mark VII
Cylon Warrior (figure)
The toys will be shipped along with the Star Wars line in 2006, so keep your eyes on the toy aisle at your favorite store! There is no word yet on the toys' availability outside the U.S.

Mods if this isn't the right line go ahead and move/delete this.

Yeah, it sounds like Hasbro will be adding a few other lines to the titanium series of ships.

The ships WILL be mixed into the lines, but I think what is confusing you is that there will be THREE separate "Titanium" lines next spring, and all should be widely available (not just Wal-Mart anymore.

The first the is the standard Titanium Series Die Cast.  this line is the small die-cast ships that are currently only at Wal-Mart.  They will be moving to all retailers next spring.  This is where you will most likely see these:

3-inch Stargate with Stand
3-inch Death Glider ship
3-inch 1978 Viper vehicle
3-inch 1978 Cylon Raider vehicle
3-inch 2004 Scout ship vehicle
3-inch 2004 Colonial 1
3-inch 2004 Raptor
3-inch 2004 Viper Mark VII

Second, is the Titanium Series Ultra line.  These are the Action Fleet sized ships only now in die-cast.  It doesn't sound like this line will have anything but SW in it.

Third, is the Titanium forged Figures line, a line of 3.75" figures made in metal (not plastic).  It is in this line that you will see the following:

Cylon Warrior (figure)

And, I believe that the Cylon is targeted for wave 3 or 4 (along with 3PO and Gen. Grievous).

I hope that clears it up for you a bit...

Wouldn't it be great for Hasbro to produce a Battestar Galactic 3 and 3/4 inch line? I mean, wouldn't this following wave be great?

How about Starbuck, Apollo, and Adama in both their 2004 and 1978 versions as well as the 1978 and 2004 versions of the Cylon Raider and Colonial Viper. I don't know about you guys, but I love both versions of the show and this initial wave of figures would be something I'd enjoy a great deal.

I saw the Titanium line at Target today.  They have the prices switched on them.  The micros are listed at $14.99 while the bigger ones are priced at $4.99.  Don't know how long this will last, but it might be worth a look.

I hoped for a 3 3/4 BG line but it looks like the minimates and 6 inch figures is what we will get.
