The Vintage Collection / Re: 2024 HasLab - TVC The Ghost

It's probably a matter of synching the numbers. Either a glitch in the overall tally getting to the Asia HP sites or a timing episode. I can't imagine that region would have the collectors to rival the US, much less the US and Europe, to put up those sales.

I didn't know hasbropulse was made available to the Asia market a few months ago. Glad to see that.

Something like the Y-Wing or B-Wing would be great

Yes! I hoped this would be a Haslab project a couple of years ago, in scale with the x-wing. (1:18 would be over 4'.) There could be different color options.

Ugh! I hate those BB-8-type figures. They're so...nothing for what you're paying. The target ones that were 2 in a $10 pack were great, though.

As for the Halloween figure, i can only keep buying x amount of stuff for my nieces and nephews to qualify free shipping. Paying shipping that's almost 1/2 the price of the figure feels like a reaming. Between a hard place and a rock.

Hope i'm not too late.

Is it me, or is there a lot of violence in Star Wars?

In no particular order except number 1).

1) Mos Eisley cantina. <-- Modular would be perfect for those who only want to buy the pieces, for example, to recreate a specific scene and that'll fit on a narrow shelf. But i don't mind a larger piece.

2) Jedi Temple corridor. <--would be nice to have scene wirh Anakin leading the clones on his murderous spree during Order 66.

3) Felucia. A very pretty setting...to kill a jedi.

4) Kashyyyk hut. Where Yoda did some decapitating...

5) Ewok village. I don't mind if Hasbro fudges. A nice place for the Ewok celebration; a whole bunch of kindling to barbecue humans; or the funeral pyre we saw but never got.

6) Queen Amidala's death procession. Not so much a playet -- we don't have the citizen's -- as it is a way to get the horses, wagon, and dead Amidala.

7) Star destroyer part where we first see all those bounty hunters together.

Will this popularize Lando enough so his figures stop pegwarming?  ;D

I wanted to re-create the scene where the crew first saw Fulcrum. But in hindsight, that would've made the ship to big.

As for the count, it's nice we get a bonus for goals met, but when first announced, the sales count felt impossible for Zeb and a maybe for Kanan. It'd be cool if we don't have to buy them, though I'm sure they'll see the light of day if the numbers aren't met.

For a single TVC, the box is big.  ;D

Yeah, as an opener too, that box, which no doubt added substantally to the cost, as well as it being an exclusive, will be wasted on me when it's chucked into the recycling bin.

But as long as the figure is about 4.25", its height is in line with the actor..

Back from limbo. Thanks for manually resetting my password, Jeff. (I changed the password then tested the "forgot password"/renew section but still not getting an email in my regular and junk folder. Wonder if I somehow activated a block on my email account?)

Anywhoo, I guess time will tell if the changes Hasbro cited in their panel (which I didn't see) is a re-tooling or something like a costume item that's GLUED in one version and not the other. As an opener, I find figure changes preferable to the omission of an accessory or packaging change for the non-exclusive, though I feel bad for the collectors not backing the ship and who wants the accessory or card and who'll need to buy them at a premium on the open market.

I bought multiples of all of these except Merrick’s droid, the Death Trooper pack, Rescue set and a couple of reissues when they first came out or soon after. Still, the urge to splurge is strong. Gotta keep reminding myself the hassle and time I spent having to pack a sizeable amount of extras recently. Most infuriating was coming across figures here and there after I thought I got them all. I swear, it’s as if over the years, people pulled from my stash and hid the figures randomly.

At this price point I’m expecting a complexity of moving parts or number of pieces in the range of the R1 Assault Tank or X-wing. If it’ s more in line with the redone skiff -- as nicely executed as it was -- I, hmm... well, I will still buy it but wag my finger at Hasbro.

I'll preface this list with saying everything would need to be in realistic styling.

I was meaning to ask what version are we looking at. I like the animated, ahem, expressions, but prefer the realistic style.

Hope Obi-wan gets some new tooling -- facial expression, sculpted body damage, anything -- and not just a re-use of the already-released figure with a spritz of paint all over him simulating chunks of dirt.

For those who didn't see the fanstream, Emily mentioned they were able to add detail to the interior of Vader's helmet that wasn't possible with the wax models from yesteryear.

New one is slight improvement. And I never noticed the teeth on the original aren’t painted.

Sure, there weren’t new characters. But I love the new Phase II clone trooper (Andor).  And it’s being used for the trooper builder pack. The detail on Waxer’s helmet in that 4-pk makes it an absolute buy for me.

I would have picked up Han (new tooling above the waist) anyway but seeing it in his shrug pose -- I think that’s how I will display it.
