According to
this report over at SuperHeroHype.com, Sam Raimi sounds as if Spider-Man 3 will be the last of the movies. I'm sure nothing is set in stone, but from the way this mini-interview sounds over there, it will be a trilogy and that's that. It will be interesting to see if that holds up or not. I guess if it is true, I'll move from one of my two favorite heroes to the other, since the Batman franchise will just be starting out, and hopefully be as well done and successful as Spidey has been. Anyways, thought it was interesting news. Here's a small snippet:
"I'd love to make more; I think that Sony just…I think that Amy Pascal who is really my boss, chairman of Sony. I've never asked her, but I get the feeling she just wants this one to be the final one. She's very emotionally attached to them and wants us to have a sense of completion to it, for the audience. And feels that's what the audience wants and they don't want to see a Spider-Man 4. That they would probably would like to see a Spider-Man 3, but probably not really anymore. So she wants to make it complete and final without setting up new things at the end, like the end of the second one."
