Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What are you guys doing this summer?
« on: July 1, 2003, 12:13 PM »
I want to get there after the new year, but it may be even longer. God knows I need to get out of here, but I don't want it to be a mistake.
I'll let you know when I get ready to go, Matt. I may need some help finding my way around. :)
Thanks for the encouragement, Darby. We do seem to have a bit in common, now that you mention it. 8)

I'll be working, squirreling away cash for my big move to LA to attend the New York Film Academy's satellite at Universal Studios. Until that time, I'm thinning the collection so I can keep it at my parent's house, writing more and hopefully better stuff, and finally starting my band that I've decided to name Chew Electric Death, Snarling Cur! I've finally gotten rid of the nagging pain in my fret hand and learned some songs in the process. Now, to find like-minded goofballs and conquer the world! Of course, provided there isn't another band out the named like mine.
...you will know us as CEDSC! in case the name was too long.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Your Break Up Stories
« on: July 1, 2003, 01:24 AM »
Ick. I hate relaying my breakup stories. I only wish I could beat the living **** out of both the girl and the dorkwad she was cheating on me with. But, whatever. They aren't worth it.

If anyone going could hook me up with a Keldor, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'd pay cost/shipping and throw in a carded Ephant Mon to the kind soul who picks up one for me, please.

The Bullpen / Marvel Legends

I love the X-books. I never bothered to read DC comics, because a guy with awesome powers, a square jawline, a beautiful love interest, and a killer bod is something I can't relate to. Neither could I relate to a millionaire who dresses in tights.

I could relate to Marvel's angsty characters because my life has been a living hell since age 10, much like many of Marvel's characters. Misery loves company. I'm sure Batman and Superman have their own problems, but their lives aren't totally in the s***ter like Wolverine's.

These bastards used to fill up my answering machine with offers to sell my vinyl siding. Considering I live in an apartment building, it's beyond stupid.
I switched to a cell phone exclusively and haven't had single telemarketer call. I'm still going to sign up, but I'll wait a bit until it isn't being accessed a million times a minute.

A Do Not Spam list would be awesome, and bring this world one step closer to Utopia.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What else do you collect?
« on: June 26, 2003, 01:19 PM »
Modern and vintage Star Wars, just about everything but 12"
Vintage RAH GI Joe RAH, pretty much from 82-89
G1 Transformers and PVCs, the only collection I'm equally obsessed with as I am for Star Wars.
Lord of the Rings, loose and carded. Haven't decided on Armies of Middle-earth yet.
Marvel Legends, but only the characters I like or know something about.
Kiss figures, but McF seems to be done with those. Looking forward to Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix figures.

Also, I collect vinyl albums from lots and lots of bands. Something about the album art. It's just too damn small on CD booklets. Especially the UK version of Hendrix' 'Electric Ladyland.' Hubba.

1) Natalie Portman
2) Audrey Tautou
3) Eliza Dushku
4) Sarah Michelle Gellar
5) A girl at work currently rocking my world.

Honorable mention goes to Drea de Matteo, from the Sopranos. She was hosting VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of the last 25 Years and she showed off her AC/DC tattoo, and I really liked it. A lot.

Clone Wars '03-'05 / Re: Clone Wars toys are OUT!!!

I heard something about a street date for Clone Wars at Target, might anyone know when this is? Are they just waiting for the Christmas reset?

I'm trying to find Yoda and the Younglings now, as well as a bunch of Unleashed figures I foolishly didn't order online, seeing as how not a single store here carries that line anymore.

I want to take a sick day today and not do a damn thing. Too busy at work, gah, I hate it.

I was considering using some vacation time, but I need it for when Return of the King comes out in December.

E.T.
Schindler's List
Saving Private Ryan
(I think I should stop watching tear-jerking Spielberg films)
 And Braveheart, at the end.

Also, Boromir's death in Fellowship of the Ring. Also Gandalf's line "All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you."

I'm not sure if it's real or not, but it's a good idea. Since Freddy vs. Jason is finally getting made, why not this one?

But if it's pre-production, I doubt costumes and sets like those pictured would be ready to go already.
