Sweet!  Sign me up for one of these.

Any of you insiders hear if this is something that is just a packaging variation and will be available in the main line, or is this a 100% Celebration exclusive?

Historically they've gone with packaging variations, so I'm assuming that is what this will be.

I hope this is something we get more info on this weekend at Toy Fair because I might be in the market for two of these - one to keep carded and a second to open since I missed out on the original figure.

With the exception of slight paint variations (or just screen resolution), it looks pretty similar to the original 6" Black Series Luke Pilot.  Card looks awesome - I guess this is a nice example of what we might be seeing for the 40th anniversary 6" line.

I like it. Not a huge fan of the foil card look so maybe the mainline versions will skip that. Surprised they went with the huge card. Will make minty ones at retail a challenge maybe. I think we can probably expect other exclusives with this look this year so I'd say we'll see Boba Fett again in some capacity. The Carbonite Han would be a nice bone to throw to folks...

The card looks pretty sweet.  But I gave up on being a MOMC collector a while back.

But as I've been seeing more bits of info come out about this 40th Anniversary Collection, I've been getting the sinking feeling that a good number of the figures for the rumored original 12 are likely to be reissues.  Seeing this figure in this format confirmed some of those suspicions.

I think most of us already assumed the 40th anniversary line was going to be mostly repacks - I don't see how a visual of the Luke card back would or would not confirm that.   ???

Another thought: I hope the glue holding the card and bubble together is of better quality than whatever Hasbro used from 2012 to 2015. I still have most of those figures carded and the bubbles have all fallen off.

I wish they would have used something similar to the Sideshow 12" calm shells.  Those are pretty durable and keep the figure/card looking nice, but you can pop them off in the back if you want to take them out.  It all fits back together, so you can actually display them loose, then go back to something close to MOC after the fact.

I assume there will be a price increase to go with the new packaging.

If it's not different enough to make me mad, I will be sad.  :D

Zero interest in this if it is the same figure. I open and display these things, so spiffy packaging holds no appeal for me. Guess I am just getting the jawas and imperial dude.

Vader should be the new Rogue One sculpt they showed off at NYCC last October, so that's another new one too.

Hard to tell if he is Thick-Neck Vader or not from that picture.  ;D

True, but I like that the cloth extends down the side of his chest now.  I'll be getting that one for sure.

Maybe we'll see him at Toy Fair.  I wonder if the helmet will be irremovable this time?  Appears so... and the neck seems normal (like the other release.  But enough of a difference to get another Vader.  I might paint the shoulders black to make it more of an ANH Vader though.
