Although many of the battle packs haven't exactly been real popular, particularly with collectors, it seems like they will be a part of the line for the foreseeable future. We've also seen indications that the "exclusive" ones will be more collector-friendly, while the basic battle packs will be more for the kiddos. With that in mind, and knowing what Hasbro's been doing with the packs this year, what would you like to see put out next year?
Even though it might not be real popular with those of us who already have them - for some reason I thought it might be cool to have some sort of "Cantina" battle pack. Aside from the big name characters, one of the coolest things about Star Wars - for collectors and kids alike - are all the goofy aliens. If you had a battle pack with assorted Cantina aliens (Hammerhead, Greedo, Myo, Feltipern Trevagg, etc.) and maybe a new - never before done - Cantina alien might be kind of neat. If they need more appeal, Hasbro could always pack in a VOTC Han Solo and/or Chewie or a TSC Sandtrooper. Like I said, it might not be a big seller with collectors, but for some reason a "box o' aliens" sounds kind of neat to me.
Of course, I think the packs with several troops are always welcome - and we have or will seen a few of those this year with clonetroopers. I think Hasbro would have a gold mine if they started packing out 2-3 VOTC Stormtroopers into various packs, but we'll probably never see that. It would be a good opportunity to stick in a fan-demanded character that maybe wouldn't sell as well as a basic figure (or they don't think it would), by sticking it in a pack with some Stormies and a main character or two. Anyways, there is some potential to make these battle packs kind of neat - even if some of the packs are repacked figures. Is there anything you would like to see, keeping in mind the basic formula for a battle pack (a few repacks or retooled figures, maybe 1-2 new figures)?
