Well, it looks like we're gonna be getting some more DVD 3-packs, this time for the Clone Wars season 1 & 2 DVD release. This probably mostly just affects (annoys) the completist carded/packaged collectors, though I think they do look kinda spiffy. Just not excited to buy more packaging variations on stuff I've already got several times over now. But hey, that what I do. :-[

I've got those figures loose, no plans to buy them again.
It will be interesting to see what the price will be and where they will end up. I would imagine the leader would be Wal-Mart since they did the DVD packs for the OT. Might not be a bad deal if they end up in the $10-15 range like the OT sets did...

Likely a pass here as well, provided I can find the ARC trooper on his own sometime before that. I've got the rest, and while they are kind of spiffy looking in the 3 pack packaging, I don't need more of those. Jeff is right though, if they ran around $10 like the other 3 packs, not too bad of a deal at all, considering 3 figures at Target right now would cost you $21. Like I said, probably only pick this up if I miss the ARC the first time around, then maybe just pass on the extra Anakin and Obi-Wan to our nephews, or put them in the little "toy box" we keep here for them.

Maybe if they had put the actual clone troopers in there they might have sold.

I've so far passed the Toon toys over...but if these set are ten bucks I might reconsider getting one of each of these to open.
But that might make me want to pick up all the other ones...how could I have some of these and not Yoda?

If these are $10, I might pick them up.
But I think they missed the opportunity of a lifetime to do a 3-pack of Clones. :(

If they're $10, I'm all over them, since the only toon fig I have is Grievous. It would be a great way for me to clean up.

I seem to be a sucker for packaging these days - despite the criticism that the OTC DVD 3-Packs received, I like em - so I'm sure these will make their way onto my shelves sometime.

I'm still waiting for ESB to hit $5. If they survive Walmart this weekend, it's likely they will. To that end, I feel the same way about these. I've got the figs, if they hit clearance, I'll buy them. I can live without these.

I'm just wondering if these will (hopefully) hit at the same $10 price point that the OT DVD sets did. The animated figures tend to run a buck or two higher, so it's possible they may show up at $15, which I won't be terribly thrilled with.
The OT sets blew threw pretty quickly out here. Saw a few ESB sets sit around for a while at one WM, but other than that, they were all gone within a few days, if not a few hours at some places.
So based on that, I'm gonna hop on these as soon as I get the chance - no questions asked!

Funny, up until about two weeks ago, I could still find even ROTJ on the shelves at full retail. Only one or two mind you, same with ANH but I can go out and buy about 20 ESB packs tomorrow if I really want to ::)

I already have Durge, AV, and GG, but none of the other three (note that it's the original un-battle-damaged Anakin, which I didn't buy the first time and was hoping for a repack).
So I'll definitely get Set 1 if I can find it.
Now all we need is a set that repacks Yoda and Dooku....

Call me a thankful cynic/pessimist, but I'm just happy that Hasbro didnt' decide to release the ARC Trooper in the three pack as a blue version rather than the red version that's already on individual cards. Then I would be pissed off. :)
The OT DVD packs blew out pretty quickly around here as well, which kind of surprised me. ANH tended to sit for the longest, believe it or not, and (in a total "duh" moment) the ROTJ pack went the fastest. There were actually quite a few people who bought a three pack of figures at the midnight launch of the DVDs, and they weren't people you'd usually see cruising the action figure aisle either (based on overhearing several of them talk about how cool the Emperor figure looked, which we all know is just crazy talk).
I'm still baffled that Hasbro did not include Yoda in the mass market rerelease of the Clone Wars stuff, three packs or individually carded. I mean, is Durge even still around in any of the EU stuff? I find it hard to believe that Durge would sell more toys than Yoda would.

Yep, Durge is still around, as recently as the comic miniseries Obession which is currently on its 3rd of 5 issues. But I fully agree that they should have rereleased Yoda too.

Sorry Hemish, but could you elaborate a bit? Are you referring to the EE 4-pks, the Clone War 3-pks, or some sort of ROTS Clone 3-pk? Or something else? :)

Took the words out of my mouth. Or, y'know, off of my keyboard, or whatever....
Anyway, I'm passing on Obi-Wan and the ARC because, as I mentioned a few posts above, I'm waiting for the repack sets so I can get the first Anakin as well. With my luck, we won't know for sure that they're not coming until after the singles have left stores. ::)

According to Hasbro (http://www.hasbro.com/starwars/pl/page.news/id.1167/dn/default.cfm), today is the day to hit Wal-Mart to grab these if you want them...
They should be shelved along with the DVD today (or last night if you have a 24HR Wal-Mart :P).

Stopped at Wal-Mart for a few things before work, and to pick up the Clone Wars DVD, and they did have the 3 packs in the front DVD display dealy. I didn't pick any up, but they were the same price ($9.96) as the OT DVD figure packs were.

I hit three WalMarts this morning - NONE of them had the DVD three-packs for the Animated Clone Wars figures. >:(
This is exactly like I figured would happen - the WalMarts are so god-damn gun-shy about putting ANYTHING out that is Star Wars they are holding them back for April 2nd!
Now, how the hell am I going to be at Target and WalMart at the same time?!?!?!

I'm not holding my breath, since I haven't seen the regularly carded figures up here. Buy who knows, these are supposed to be a Wal-Mart exclusive, and the OT ones showed up here...

Jared just found them at one of our WM's out here. $9.96 as well, all sitting piled on a pallette (I think he said by the DVD section, but I can't remember). He snagged me my two sets as well, so I got me some! Always a major relief finding a WM exclusive out here. Phew! :P

Found them today.
I went in on the general merchandise entrance. Didn't find them. So I went to the action figures area and the home entertainment dept. No dice. Then I figured I'd pass by the grocery side entry, and there they were. :)
Also, found an endcap full of ROTS Pez dispensers. 94 cents each plus your state's share.

Yeah, found them at one Walmart, the next one didn't have them. They are on the Clone Wars DVD palettes, exactly like the OT DVD ones were.

Well - on the way home last night I stopped by the one Walmart I DIDN'T hit on the way into work and they had the pallet of DVDs and commemorative 3-packs out on the floor. Thank goodness at least ONE WalMart in the area can follow instructions!

I don't know why I rushed out last Tuesday to get these. There's still a few of each sitting on the top shelf at Wal-Mart now. Guess they weren't quite as hot as the Trilogy packs were.
