Saga Collection '06 / Re: VPTC ( Vintage Prequel Trilogy Collection)
« on: February 16, 2006, 03:42 PM »
Same here. With respect to all who would love to see it, I think the idea is disrespectful to the vintage line. :-X

I don't even want to see OT characters that were never made in the vintage line done on vintage cards.

I am glad that we can all agree on this. Hasbro can make a VOTC quality line of Prequel action figures, but they should not be placed on Vintage style cardbacks.

Oh, and the Original Trilogy is the best.   :P

Placing say, a super articulated Darth Maul on an Episode One cardback could qualify as a "Vintage" Prequel Trilogy Collection action figure.  Putting the same figure on a Vintage style card completely defeats the purpose of any such line.

I have heard from quite a few people from other sites that there will be a Battlepack featuring these Clone Troopers.

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Battle of Death Star Wave
« on: January 5, 2006, 04:12 PM »
I am fairly certain that the "Battle of the Death Star" wave is, in fact, the "Battle of Yavin" wave. The former is just an early rumored title for the wave.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: TSC Recent Purchases
« on: January 4, 2006, 07:58 PM »
The new figures have turned up in WalMart and Target here.  The prices at Target are 6.99 and at Walmart 5.99.  I bought Bib, Leia Boushh and Han Carbonite but did not buy any of the repacks, and that will probably be my policy for the Saga figures.

I may be a young and new collector, but I started with the Vintage Original Trilogy Collection so I am a bit spoiled, if you will, and I shall not be purchasing many repacks. The majority of the figures in the Power of the Force 2 line are simply not something I would like to have in my collection. I will buy some repacks on figures I missed out on in past lines that I like, but for the most part, I will only be buying the new sculpts.

Collections / Re: How Your Collection Has Grown...

Well, I just started collecting with the Revenge of the Sith line and the majority of my collection is Clones and main characters. Needless to say, I haven't taken up too much room but I purchased a large bookcase that will, undoubtedly, be filled with Star Wars figures soon enough.

As stated at Rebel Scum, everything listed at that site are simply rumors from other Star Wars sites. Only a few things can really be considered official.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: SAGA price hike?

Well, I've justed started collecting with the Revenge of the Sith toyline so I cannot give you an "educated" answer. However, considering that there will be no movies driving the line Hasbro will probably raise the price of their figures simply to earn a reasonable profit.

I saw those pictures over at Rebel Scum. This is very interesting, indeed.

I finally found a Red Royal Guard last night. I have two already, but I got them from eBay. However, due to the fact that my mother was kind enough to buy it for me, I agreed to wait until Christmas to receive it.

How cool would this be?  I am going to make a few drawings maybe of some ideas, and see what you all think.  Maybe I'll be a total geek and send something to them.

I'd very much like to see those, Chewie, as would a lot of people here, I think. Anyways, we can always hope for playsets from either Hasbro or another company, can't we?

That's very cool, SpudTrooper. Again, I'm very glad to be here and am looking forward to getting to know all of you better.

Well, I grew up watching the Original Trilogy with my dad (who is an OT purist, by the way) and have always found it superior to the Prequel Trilogy. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to getting some Original Trilogy characters, but main and otherwise, next year with The Saga Collection.

And again, thanks for the kind welcomings, everyone!

Hey JediMac, thanks for the warm welcome! And yes, it was my fifteenth birthday two days ago.  ;)

I really only collect the 3 and 3/4 inch line, but I do like Gentle Giant's bust ups, as well. However, I do like the Original Trilogy far more than the Prequel Trilogy, even though I'm younger. Revenge of the Sith is definitely my third favorite Star Wars movie with only A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back being superior.
