Title: Twilight Zone Comic Artwork - Ink
Post by: Angry Ewok on December 10, 2004, 07:05 PM
Here's a some recent art of mine, a comic adaptation of the Twilight Zone episode 'The Invaders'... I re-designed the Invaders to look a tad less corny - gave them backpacks and rifles with flashlights at the ends... Anyway, this is all inked and airbrushed minus the moon (which I dropped in using Adobe - but at least it's a pic of the moon that I took myself) - the peice is appx. 17x22, so in-person it's a whole lot nicer to look at. Alot darker, too.

By the way, there's a seam down the center because I had to scan this 4 or 5 times and plate them all together... My scanner is only 8.5x11.

Great artwork Brad. So my understanding is that the moon is a photo you took of it?

Update - I adjusted the contast/brightness so that it looks more like it does in-person. Should look much darker/clearer now.

Yeap, I took that picture of the moon by sticking my digital camera up against the telescope. Pretty crazy, but it worked.

I'll say thats a pretty darn good shot doing it that way, I'm amazed how the moon turned out.

Much better with the adjustments.  8)
