« on: August 11, 2008, 10:50 PM »Tim Burton's weren't thaaaaat comic-booky. I mean, compared to the new batch, sure, but for 1989 when Burton's Batman came out, it was a pretty realistic, dark take on the character. I still very much like that movie.
I'll agree with the first two were not as comic-booky as the last two (although only the first was really all that good), but they definitely got comic-booky in a hurry. I guess I'm just a fan of the more realistic style.
Well, we can blame the comic book style on Joel Schmacher... Burton's were way better since they were dark.

Ice, my thoughts about how Apollo wished he hadn't been saved during the Resurrection Ship mission were because he was in the know about his dad and the President wanting to assassinate Cain and he thought if dad and his woman were able to order the killing of an officer in cold-blood, then what was humanity coming to. As Bill Adama said in the mini-series, "what makes humanity worth saving" and then he saw the horrors of humanity and he lost the will to live. Just my thoughts.
