how would you rate it for kids?  my 9 year old wants to see it.

Action filled. No blood. No nudity. No language. Lots of sword fights. Reminded me of the first Pirates movie without the scary skeletons. Nothing really scary in it. I'm not sure why its rated PG13. It's more on the PG side.

don't know if this is where this belongs or not - but has everone seen the new Mortal Kombat "Rebirth" trailer that debuted a few days ago?  if not you can find it on youtube

I thought it was a bit campy.  White's monologue was just overly testosterone-filled, to the point that I starting rolling my eyes.  But if they tone that down a bit it could be interesting.

You guys should read the Kevin Tancharoen interview with Collider about the Mortal Kombat short film.
Collider interview

That will explain a couple of things, like why he did it, why he included what he did and didn't (shot it on a $7,500 budget) and what he had in mind for the mystical part of the MK universe should he ever get a shot at doing a full film.

I wonder if it's any different from the canceled Disney version. Probably not.

I'm glad this series is going to continue.  It should do better with a Christmas release.

Yeah, I sort of thought it was a mistake to move the last one (Prince Caspian) into the summer.  Not that it would have done as well as "The Lion..." anyways, but it just didn't seem like a "summer release" to me.  I'm glad the series is continuing as well, and the trailer doesn't look too bad.  I don't think I've read this book though, may have to check it out before December.

It would piss Disney off if it did better than Prince Caspin did.

Was that movie any good?  Never did find time to check out the sequel.

From my understanding, it was not as true to the book as Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe was.

BTW.  Went and saw The A-Team today.  Great popcorn flick!

I agree about the A-Team. I saw it yesterday and enjoyed the heck out of it.

I probably won't get to catch this until DVD, but everyone I've talked to or read that has seen it has really enjoyed it - despite the poor(ish) box office.

So I hear that Avatar The Last Airbender sucks?  Shame - the trailers looked decent enough and the toon seemed cool enough for the most part.  Looking forward to Predators at the theatre this weekend though.   8)

I was going to go to Last Airbender but didn't. I saw some reviews that said it sucked, but it did decent box office this weekend, so, I don't know.

I'm definitely going to Predators this week, though.
