FAN-tastic pic! Artistic renditions are always great, and better with diverse art mediums.

Now, how is Leia gonna ditch the twins? Uh, I was referring to the Snowtroopers, of course!  ;)

Dude, you are a talented individual with an imagination that is in the gutter. I enjoy the pin-up quality of your work, but I feel the exagerated flotation devices take your talent and turn it into Playboy cartoon fodder. I would just suggest that you tone it down a notch and work within proportions that are voluptuous, but within the realm of reality. I think of Frazetta, Vargas, the 50's pulp stuff when I see your work in every way except the chest area. The hip area on the second drawing is astounding and well presented. You just need to stop looking at balloons or beachballs as reference and start studying the female human anatomy. It takes a drawing that is well done and enticing and alluring and turns it into bimbo, sleazy, adolescent cartoon work. I asume you are above that and while people may not agree with me, I am just giving an honest opinion from a fellow artist's point-of-view. No offense intended. I guess I'm a bit of a butt man and that may also play into it. Anyway, good stuff sans the dodge balls in Leia's bra...

Indeed, but that’s the point and my personal preference ;), I hide behind no false pretexts of “high art”, it is what it is- eye candy.
There’s a plethora of artists doing pin-ups with “realistic” proportions. I’ve worked in many different artistic disciplines and found working under the constrictions of society’s ideal of human beauty hindered me creatively, so I made a conscience decision to go all out with the cheesecake… like a hyper Bill Ward style. I appreciate the underground Japanese artists that are able to reinvent the body, making the female form twist like a rubber band, while still maintaining a harmony in the design and proportion. I realize my style is not for everyone, but it has found a small niche market which provides me with my bread and butter, and for that I’m gracious and content… it’s funny because I get a lot of letters from guys that want to see them even bigger!

I'm also not a huge fan of your huge boobs, but I do like your work. I love how you do exaggerate the flexibility of the body. You also seem to have mastered very good, natural lighting and shading - and you do it cleanly. I can't do that without smudging and having a dirt and grime look (although I like the dirt/grime look, it'd be nice to be able to do it cleanly, as well).

Fantastic work, Bob - share more!  :-*

Well, put me in on the category of liking the huge boobs.  I think your reasons for doing so is sound, why copy every thing else that's out there now when you can do your own style with your own distinction.

Nice stuff Bob/OSL 8)

Now that you mention Bill Ward and that your intent is exaggeration, it makes sense. It's just something I'm not a big fan of. I'm glad you didn't take what I said in a negative way and I respect your ability and artistic knowledge. I am just from the school that says if you want to break rules or stretch them, you need to know and follow them first. From what I can tell, you have studied anatomy and have taken the true form and tinkered with it to suit your tastes. They are exceptional works. Your composition is well executed and the different pencil techniques you use to create value and create texture are a testament to your ability. Glad to see another well versed artist in the forums. Keep up the good work!

Here’s Lara finding herself behind the eightball… ‘Appears this raider was unwise in picking her latest knockover, that tomb which is guarded by Mulac, one of the four giant Bacabs of Mayan myth- they being the sons of Itzamna, who held up the sky in its four corners. Mulac is the giant god of the North and associated with the color white.

It’s on 9.5x12.5, paper manufactured by Schoellershammer, I use their No.8 paper, it’s very nice stuff, really smooth for shading with pencil, great for ink as well. Comes in a pad of 20 sheets.

For some reason I'm getting a box with a red x in it. My Mac can't read your complex image languages...

Thanks for disclosing the materials you use Bob. I think we need to start a thread that details supplies that we like, use or recommend...

I use a Strathmore 500 series that's on the rough side (plate and hot press are too resistent and take longer for drying anad pencil has no tooth to bite into (unless you are Jim Lee). The cold press runs almost $2 for a 32" x 24" sheet (I think that's the size...), but it's so worth it.

If you want quality results, use quality materials! I wish the guys that built my house followed that...

The Lara Croft is top notch Bob! Finally can see it! Are you trying to make a living from your exceptional ability or just like me - no time and tons of potential?

Althougth the 'buttman' slam has been edited I find it humorous that someone I do not know would take a high fastball that far out of the park. I asked for it and got it and if that person would like to discuss the matter further I am very easy to contact.

Hey, thanks, I’m glad you like it. Yes, I’ve been pushing filthy drawings on people through ebay and other venues for the last couple of years. Hopefully one of these days I’ll finish the story I’m working on and attempt to publish it, but as you said, there never seems to be enough time.

Yeah, I guess you did. Don't feel left out, I did too.

Some guy dropped in and decided to quote my comment and then made an uncalled for reply to it. Since it is a deleted post, I can fill you in if you want through an IM.
