Speaking of dumb luck, I wandered into a store today to pick up some oranges and walked out with a white Cournoyer chase ???  Talk about your weird, out of date finds.  I haven't checked ebay for pricing, but I'm guessing it wasn't worth someone's time to sell it, so they returned it.

Montebello, they didn't even have their toys marked down.  I just went up and asked for a price check.

Targets by me finished their reset.  MLB, NBA Legends, and MLB 3" on the pegs, no chases though.

Sweet.  My office move can't come soon enough.  I'm running out of space for these.  (Although I can make more if I get rid of the three I have that no longer play for the team who's uniform they're wearing - Nomar, Leclair and Roenick)

You can't get rid of those, they were too much work.  Mind you, you might find a sucker on ebay if you listed them as retros ;)

I really doubt I'll get rid of them, unless I decide to get rid of all of them.  Still a fan of the players, even though they don't play for my team anymore (although Roenick's comments about a month back regarding the fans kind of irked me and made me think less of him)

Roenick pissed someone off?  I can't imagine that happening ;)  I've always liked him as a player from his early days with the 'Hawks but the man's mouth is his worst enemy.  Well, maybe his brain but that just might be too many concussions speaking, so it's hard to tell.

If anyone needs a Dr. J chase, LMK.  I found one earlier this week and stashed it.  It was still there yesterday.

I read on Spawn.com that the MLB 13 updated set is going to include a surprise fig.  Rumor is it will be an O's Sosa.

Sweet.

Sign me up for one of these:

And now, a question.  How do you guys find out which figures end up with chases?  Is it kinda like the Kubricks where you basically have to wait and see what hits the shelves?  From what I can find, there's no mention of the "other jersey" chases on Spawn.com.

Just assume the other jersey is the chase figure and that's the reg.  98% of sportspicks have a chase figure and the easiest way is to look at the back of the packaging.  If the jersey on the figure in your hand is the same as that pictured on the back, it's the regular, not chase figure.

That said, there have been some notorious examples of McFarlane messing with people's minds or outright screwing up.  Thornton 1 is a good example.  The packaging set up had the regular appearing to be the chase.  Kind of funny really.  Let's put it this way, if it's two in the afternoon and you find a Thornton, it's the reg. ;)
