Did you have to ask Brent?   ;)

The reason we get Wings, Avs and Devils is the same reason we see Yankees: they sell, and they sell well.  Wonder if we'll see a Sharks Thornton in the next wave.

Well as I feared I may well be in the states when this series hits big :'(  Still no sign locally but I've five days left.

I'll grab all the Modano's I can for the boys up north with me but the first is mine.  And no Jason, I didn't need to ask but just in case you had an in somewhere it could save me the trouble.  And I think I asked because prior to seeing Modano I wasn't too concerned about this series.  Now I am.

As for the Leafs, Wings and Avs, yeah, I know, they just sell.  Locally though the Leafs and Wings don't sell, though the Avs do.

Is this an upcoming piece, a custom someone made, or what?

It's a suprise piece in NHL 10.

Brent, have you seen any Legends 2 at Walmart?  I saw on Spawn they're getting flooded with them.

Found NHL 10 today at TRU in Alhambra, CA.  Most of the figs were on the risers so as soon as I found a stock clerk, they were all mine.  I scored a North Stars Modano and white Theodore 2!  Gonna try to swap the Theodore for a red Lang chase.

Picked up Nash and Lang regs today at Frank and Sons (our local toy show) and trade my white Theodore for a red Lang!  One of the dealers I know traded me.  Still gotta pick up St. Louis but I think I may hold off on Thornton cause I think we'll see a Sharks repaint at some point.

Bit of a funny story.

Since Jason found his red Lang, about the only thing I needed to find was a retro Modano (or two, or three).  I ended up flying to a meeting in Florida the same day the figures were mass released in Winnipeg (Walmart and Zellers both, tons of figures) so I basically missed it all.

Still looking around for stuff though, more SW than McF and I wandered into a small Zellers store that usually doesn't have much product.  I didn't expect to find anything and was looking more for Saga than anything else.  Nothing there, but I wandered down the aisle to check the other stuff.  What's sitting up there staring at me but a retro Modano :o :D

Naturally I counted the figures a bunch of times.  Only ten on the pegs ???  Weird.  Count again.  Yup, 10.  Looks like someone came in and snagged a couple of figures off the pegs and because Modano wasn't on the back of the package, they left him behind not knowing he was a variant or perhaps presuming it was a figure from an older series (I think the first Modano was series 3).  Either way, a huge score and a really nice surprise.

Piles of NHL Legends 2 figures have been put out as well at Walmart for only $3.86 CAD.  Quite a bargain but nothing I don't already have that I want.  Some guys were very lucky and picked up some variants for super cheap including one guy that scored 5 Rangers Esposito.  Phenomenal price.

I'm a little curious about the retro Modano.  Since it's not actually listed as part of Series 10 on Spawn.com, is this considered some sort of "super chase"?  (Forgive the newbie question)

It's a suprise figure Jesse.  A super chase would be like the no-helmet Brady or no-helmet MCNabb.  Around 300 or less are produced of those figs.  As far as numbers produced on Modano I don't know for sure, Brent or Jason can give a better guess than me.

It's just a surprise figure, not a super chase.
