Leslye Headland brings a new @StarWars series to @DisneyPlus with The Acolyte. “The Acolyte” is a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.

Could this be a KOTOR series?
-
Looks like it will be set in the High Republic era. Lots of fertile ground for story telling!

Beware: some spoilers for those hoping to go into this show cold...

I caught that interview, too. EW's Dagobah Dispatch podcast has been talking about the Acolyte quite a bit, in fact. They're still mining their interviews from Star Wars Celebration in London for content. On the most recent episode they spoke with 3 or 4 cast members - including Joonas Suotomo, who is now playing a Wookiee Jedi named Kelnacca!

New date (June 4), new poster, and tease of something (likely trailer) coming tomorrow revealed by StarWars.com/LFL (https://twitter.com/starwars/status/1769755843451380154):

Lightsabers, Wookiee Jedi, spaceships, aliens. I'm liking what I've seen so far.
Maybe it'll turn out to be terribly disappointing [slowly glances over at the second half of TBOBF :-\], but I'll definitely be watching this on June 4th.

My only concern is with the show runner/writer.
So far it looks ok.
