Found a couple of head swaps for the echo base trooper's  tiny neck post... Evolutions Dooku and the first ROTS Bail Organa.... with some head gear on, they're just another couple of bearded rebels...

Went out searching for rebel fleet troopers at the weekend to no avail. Ended up with one of the  vintage storm troopers with the better helmet. In London, I've got about four potential stores that figures might turn up in and I combine my hunt with a Saturday run with a backpack in case I find something. I guess I don't have the gas money issue you guys have, but two hours of running and one lousy storm trooper.... it just didn't seem worth it... it's getting really difficult to pick up figures at retail over here.

I liked the prequel extra about the boga with the guy who designed him saying he pretends that the Boga survives even though George said he dies... the main problem with the prequel extras for me is, animatics just aren't as fun to watch as Mark Hamill trying to swing a lightsabre with yoda on his back...

I noticed the  new packaging for the Dewback indicates a posable tail, my version of the latest release didn't have this feature... do you think it's a retool, a repack of the POTF or a packaging error?

... you can see I'm stuck for news.

I found Walrus man and the RFT a couple of days ago. There's something about figures from A new Hope... picking them up gives me the best star wars addiction buzz...

This is good news for me, I'm yet to get my hands on Han, Bom and the arc trooper...

Looks like Hoth Luke has a ball joint in his torso... could be good for hunched riding positions on the tauntaun.

I was watching the collections on the OT disc at the weekend... I love the matte paintings and models, very awesome, I can't get enough of that stuff...  also I never knew that Boushh's helmet had a 1138 on there.... I guess my geekdom has room for expansion after all...

It's hard to tell just how much these films have been altered without a side by side comparison, but overall it looked to me like a lot of the lighting and colour had been changed. Some of the explosions and blast effects look all new to me. The sound effects sound amazing to me, but it seems like the music has dropped down in the mix again, although that could be my crappy TV.

I don't know how new this is but I saw a Dug walk through Jabba's palace. I thought that Yoda was a big improvement in the phantom menace, and I see they replaced some of the shots of him in AOTC.

I'm normally a purist, but I actually quite liked that new Krayt dragon call.

One of the downsides for me was the sloppy job on restoring the lightsabres, In some places it's good, but why fix some bits and not others? In places it just looks lousy. I think that scene where luke is fighting the vader apparition on Dagobah looks like a total balls up.

Finally got the Luke from this wave, the image on the card is a serious nostalgia kick for me... it really took me back to when Empire was first released.

The head from this figure looks great on the Medical frigate Luke from the Legacy collection.

I've managed to pick up everyone but Luke in this wave. I can't seem to stop buying the clone though, I had the same problem with the previous version. I've stuck pilot helmets from the gunship turret packs on some of them and they look good.

The head sculpts from this wave seem really sharp to me and I love the continued paint apps on the weapons.

Luke Skywalker (Moisture farmer) ultimate sculpt

Looks like Han has those hinge joint shoulders like the first attempt at Bespin Luke, I would have preferred the other kind, but it's by no means a deal breaker for me.
