Well, finally an image of this thing... guess people were right, it's just a $9.99 deluxe...I would have personally rathered it be a larger version, but this is still better than the first wave of Deluxe figures. I would have rather seen this than that damn Obi Wan/SBD abomination.

I can't ever get the hyperlink to work, so here's just a plain old link.
Count me in for 4 of these.
:P

Do we actually know the scale of this thing? Could the deluxe toy be fairly accurately scaled?
-
There are supposed to be two different sizes of them. I believe some smaller (like this one) and some that are about the size of a Hailfire Droid.
:P
-
Pretty cool. Design-wise I prefer the Hailfire Droid and both Spider Droids, but I'll definitely get one of these.
-
I prefer those designs too... but do like this quite a bit. I think the Homing Spider Droid is my favorite Separtist vehicle.
:P

I thought the crab looked good... Bust out the crackers, drawn butter, and a bib because the Republic's gonna eats some crab!
The figure turned out sorta ok... not wild about its firing cannon feature (that's terrible on any figure at this point), but the figure itself was cool looking. Still wish they'd made a cooler cannon on the Spider droid but as it stands it's "ok". It's just not a great figure like it could've been.
Crab looks better at this point...

I think a more realistic paint job would have done this puppy wonders. Time for yet another custom repaint. :)
:P
-
Got my second one today... and to be honest, this is probably my favorite "vehicle" in the ROTS lineup so far.
:P
-
Also - if you use the scene on Utapau as the basis - I think the scale of the Crab Droid is perfect - I wish the "knees" were articulated so I could have a "dead" one with a clone standing over it with his gun pointed straight down (like in the movie).
-
Do its legs pop off like the Spider Droid's? I have a couple Spidey's laid out with legs blown off and Clones strewn about and charging through... My mini/temporary Clone Assault diorama while I figure out what to do for an Episode 3 shelf. :)
Love the pop-off parts for "damage" effects.
-
It does come unassembled so popping the legs off is a good idea.
After reading the post, I noticed that if you pop the four big ones and leave the front little ones you can re-create crazy clone trooper going 66 on it.
-
Yeah, like Gatillo said, the legs do pop off. This is one heck of a $10 toy.
