well actually i like this version of Bossk better than the POTF2 version, i think he has a bit more articulation.

I wonder if the folks over at Galactic Hunter mind that you're posting photos here that they're hosting on their web site, in turn using up their bandwidth?

I'm sure it's cool.

Billy, I burned a copy of the copy you burned for me for my buddy and he sends along much gratitude and thanks for one of the best concerts he has ever heard.  I agree with him, that show is pure magic...the whole Axl rant is perfection

Yeah, if it sounds good today, just imagine being a 16-year old kid, at the first concert you ever attended, when G N' R was still "The Biggest Band in the World", and your favorite band for the past four years.

What a show it was.

And actually--I think that audio bootleg was actually taken from a video bootleg of the show, which was taken from the video feed for the big screens for the audience to look at.  (What a terribly-constructed sentence that was, but I had no idea how else to put it.)

Anyway, there are DVD bootlegs of that show that pop up on Ebay from time to time, for around $10-20 or so--I just haven't really bothered to pick one up yet (don't do too much Ebay business). . .

Hey.

GNR's 'Hits' Coming Before New Album

While work continues on Guns N' Roses' endlessly delayed album "Chinese Democracy," Geffen has set a March 23 release date for "Greatest Hits," compiling 14 of the hard rock act's best-known tracks. The album boasts such favorites as "Welcome to the Jungle," "Sweet Child O' Mine," "Patience," "Paradise City" and a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil" from the "Interview With a Vampire" soundtrack.

This is the third archival Guns N' Roses release since last fall, when Geffen issued DVDs of the home videos "Welcome to the Videos" and the two-volume "Use Your Illusion."

However, according to sources, the band did not give its consent for "Greatest Hits" to move forward and may pursue legal action to block its release.

As previously reported, the Axl Rose-led group will return to the live stage May 30 at the Rock in Rio-Lisbon festival in Lisbon, Portugal. It will be GNR's first live appearance since a disastrous 2002 comeback tour, which was canceled with 13 dates remaining.

As for "Chinese Democracy," it is unknown when the album will be released. Bassist Tommy Stinson told Billboard.com last year that finishing touches were being applied to the set before it would be sent off for mixing.

Here is the track list for "Greatest Hits":

"Welcome to the Jungle"
"Sweet Child O' Mine"
"Patience"
"Paradise City"
"Knockin' on Heaven's Door"
"Civil War"
"You Could Be Mine"
"Don't Cry"
"November Rain"
"Live and Let Die"
"Yesterdays"
"Ain't It Fun"
"Since I Don't Have You"
"Sympathy for the Devil"

What a load of crap.

I've been thinking about  going to Bonnaroo this year, are you really going???

The only lineup that looks better than this is Coachella (which the Shins are riumored to be playing)

www.coachella.com

Yeah, I like the Coachella lineup better, too (Wilco, Pixies, Lips, Radiohead, among others).

Tennessee is just a little easier for me to get to right now, and it's a little farther off, time-wise.

But yeah, if they were both equal, I'd definitely go to California.

I'll have to get together with my concert buddy Jeremy and see what he thinks--we're just in the tentative planning stages for Bonnarroo right now.

(Now, "The Shins"?  I've been hearing a lot about them.  What do you think?)

Anyone care to make a wager with me that the Extended Edition for ROTK won't be coming out in August?

If anyone wants to take me up on it, and it comes out in August, I'll buy your copy for you.

I'm still saying it's coming out in November--if it does, you owe me a copy.

'Course, if it comes out in September or October, everybody's s.o.l. . . .

Timeline--that came out around Thanksgiving, no?  Based off the typical six-month window, that would put it around May sometime, probably.  And generally, the studios will announce their DVDs around two-to-three months before their release date.  (They're just now announcing the stuff for late March to early/mid-April).

So, I'll say somewhere around mid-April to mid-May, and, just for sh!ts and giggles, I'll say April 27th--and when they announce it, we'll see how close I was.

April 27th:

From The Digital Bits:

"We've also gotten word today that Paramount has moved up the street date on Timeline. It had tentatively been set for 4/27, but now look for it on 4/13."

B!tches.

Anyone have this?

From DavisDVD:

"So how's this for strange: prolific serial killer Gary Ridgway's confessions are now available on DVD. Ridgway, whose two-decade rampage around the northeastern city of Seattle, dumped the bodies of his victims in clusters close to the Green River - a practice that earned him the moniker of the "Green River Killer." The 109-disc DVD-ROM set, compiled by Chameleon Data, includes more than 400 hours of video and nearly 8,500 pages of interview transcripts in which Ridgway recounts the grisly details of his 18-year crime spree. The discs, which comprise 106 days of interviews that took place between June 13 and December 16 2003, also include video footage of field trips Ridgway took with detectives to sites where he left bodies. The retail price for the set is $2220, but the public should be able to access the data at the King County Law Library in the next several weeks."
