Feedback / Re: JediMAC's feedback
« on: March 25, 2004, 04:37 AM »
Wow! five pages, doesn't this guy have any negative feedback? ;D :P  What can I say about Matt that hasn't been said 10X.  Matt hooked me up with some of his extra Clone Trooper 3-packs and ARC Troopers.  With his help and FEL's help I completed my Clone Wars basic figure collection and finally brought my Blue ARC Trooper's Unit up to full EU strength of 11.   Matt does one heck of packing job, everthing was Mint, and got it in two business days!  On top of all this Matt is a stand up guy(most of you already know this :D) willing to help out even a n00b like me out.  Truly an asset to the SW/Trading community.  If your still not conviced to do business with JediMAC well than your Bantha Fodder!  ;D :P

Thanks for looking out Matt!!!!

Other Collectibles / Re: WW/Clone Pilot fiasco!

I am by no means an expert, and I know you can't please all of the people all the time but....

Here are some suggestions to ensure a little more even distribution:

Limit vendors/retailers to 1 bust per booth for the entire weekend(Tough Cookies)

Limit 1 bust to each ticket holder per night and punch their ticket so they can't get back in line for that night.

Issue wrist bands for the people in line for the allotted number of busts for the night, and use different color bands for each night.  No wrist band,NO bust.

Most importantly CAP OFF Sales and/or allocate a set in stone amount of busts for each day. Preview Night,Sat,Sun.

I know all the people who would like to get their hands on a bust won't,but atleast REAL collectors and the little guys would have a better chance.   Instead of those who really don't care about the bust, and are only in it to make a quick buck of us poor saps.  My .02 cents.

Add another extremely satisfied customer to the list!  Matt soley to help out another collector/n00b out, brought me closer to completing my CW's figure collection.  Everything was packed very well, items were Mint, and talk about fast shipping got it in two business days!  What more can you ask for?  Don't think twice about dealing with the Big Fish. :)  Thanks again Matt!

Other Collectibles / WW/Clone Pilot fiasco!
« on: March 20, 2004, 07:44 PM »
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum to post this,or if this belongs in the Junk Yard.  Moderators, please move or do your thing,as you see fit.  Posted this over at RS of my day at WW:

The LA WW convention sold out it's WHOLE weekend alotment of Pilot bust 10 minutes after opening Saturday morning 10 am.  I was in line 1 hour before gates opened and I estimate about 500+ people in line before me. When I made it inside I was about 10th in line at the Wizards booth, about 4 people in front of me away from snagging a couple of Pilots.(2 per person limit)That's when the people in the Wizard booth shouted out the words no one wanted to hear: "NO MORE CLONE PILOTS" "WE ARE SOLD OUT FOR THE WEEKEND" Unfreaking believeable!  :o  I was not even inside the Con 5 minutes and SOLD OUT for the weekend. :'(
There were people in line who already bought pilots the night before(preview night) and had some in hand, and were in line again to purchase more pilots!   ::)
I walked around in utter disgust, and to no surprise most of those Fat,Smelly,Greasy,Low-life scalper Comic book/Vendors had about two pilots each selling them for a minimum price of $200!!!!!! Eventually and painfully found one for triple retail price of $125 because I had to have one,as that is the only reason I went to that geek fest. A couple words of advice I can offer from experience to those going to their respective WW conventions: Go to "Preview Night" and take a sleeping bag because your sleeping over to ensure yourself a pilot. ::)

On a lighter note meet and had lunch with Matt(JediMAC) and Jared(Tydirium)  Great, friendly, and forgetful guys(wink, wink  :P ;D)  Nice meeting/hanging out with you guys today!

Does it look anything like this one, Ricardo?   :o

WOW! now that's a Grand Army of the Republic! :o  I can only dream of having a  fighting force that big, mine is more like a platoon+2 Gunships.LOL   I don't think there is enough money in my defense bugdet to fund such an Army. ;D

Thanks for the welcome.  Cheers sounds like a good place to be,especially when everyone knows your name, wants and haves. :P :)

Glad you came over after checking the site out...  I think you may find a new home around these parts.

I think so too.  Scum is cool, but JD from the short time I have been here feels alot more user friendly.  The members here definately seem to look out for one another.  :)

Newbies / Hello, another Star Wars Geek
« on: March 11, 2004, 02:15 AM »
Hi all,My name is Ricardo and I have been into Star Wars since I opened my first Return of the Jedi book back in the 5th grade.  I have been collecting since '96 and now mostly focus on newer stuff POTJ and above.  I  especially love anything to do with Jedi/Sith,and the whole Star Wars universe in general.  I learned about this site by clicking on another members link in his sig over on RebelScum, which I am also a newbie there.  I look forward to being part of this great site and hopefully trading/selling with my fellow Star Wars geeks. ;D MTFBWY

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Ultra Kamino Obi-Wan and Jango (Recarded)
« on: March 4, 2004, 04:02 PM »
Very Cool.  I never saw Deluxe Kamino Showdown Obi-Wan/Jango in my area, nor the spider droid.  Heck,I never knew they even existed only after seeing pics online.  I've been trying to get my hands on them, but haven't had any luck trading/buying.  Hopefully this time around I can pick up a set,as they are pretty neat together.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Burger King Glasses Figures!!!!!!
« on: March 1, 2004, 04:19 PM »
It's pretty sad with all these rehashes lately, but I will probably buy them because I never got a chance to get any of those cool BK glasses.  That's IF I can ever find them, considering SoCal bites as far as finding anything Star Wars around here.  I agree they should make a resculpt/SA Luke X-Wing.  Something along the lines of the Unleashed X-Wing Luke would be awesome with oversized removable Helmet, and alot of articulation.
