Good luck...my wife spilled Nail Polish once on our carpet, I tried Acetone (Nail Polish Remover), Goo Gone, Goof Off, Stripper, Mineral Spirits and a few others and nothing worked. I'd ask a professional carpet cleaner for an estimate and take a look at the stain to see if they could get it out.

Acrylic paints should come out (they're water based) with some sort of heavy duty carpet cleaner. If Goo-Gone and that stuff doesn't work, rent one of those "Rug Doctor" machines, that should do the trick.

I spilled plastric cement on the linoleum floor once, and it striped the finish. :-\ It wouldn't come out of the tube, so I squeezed harder and the whole back end exploded. :P I've spilled paint and glue on the carpet before too, goo-gone should work, if not try oxi-clean, or a foaming carpet cleaner.

I have one of those little hand held steam cleaners and im sure it will take that out really fast if you can find one and if you dont have luck with that other stuff. It will take all of it out. I had an oil stain on our new carpet and it came out in just a min or two of the steam on it .
