No chases for me.  But I pretty much knew that because I was one of the guys that bought a box from Jeff (who had the unfortunate "miscommunication" about the opened boxes).  (But Jeff made this crystal clear to me before I bought them  :))

But I absolutely love these!!  Vader's detailing is amazing and the Stormies are too cool for words.

I've only opened the first 6 - just taking my time and enjoying the moment.   :D

Pics to come.

My god man, I thought we lost you. I could picture you opening them, taking the little plastic bag to your nose and breathing in the Kuby fumes. Your eyes open wider then you grab another bag, rip it open to get more of the intoxicating smell. Kuby's are like crack man, me thinks your hooked!  ;D

Fun eh!  ;)

So this is your first set Jesse?

nilito / yujon,

I may have missed this earlier.  Did you pieces come saled with in the plastic bag and box?  If so, can you or did you look closely to see how the bags were sealed and if they are different at all?

IDBK

it came sealed but the plastic bag they used is different from normal bags used for series 3.. there was no box though.. the seal for the bags were normal.. not that tight though..

madsontoys only started adding boxes to the auctions after he refunded me..

It's a damn good fake if it is one. I don't think it is the whole truth, but they could be real. Possibly a friend of his works at the factory and he nabbed some for him. Or he got hold of a stole mold and then produced his own. Or maybe it is the truth. Who knows? I wouldn't buy one from him though.

from the paint job, u know its not real.. jst touch the paint on the bag and u'll be convinced..

Glad they arrived safely Jesse!

I think my favorite is Vader with Stormie and Hoth Han running neck-and-neck for second.

Yeah, I really love how they packed the boxes of 12 for this Series.  With their being 4 of both Vader and Stormtrooper, I can display them exactly like above.

And here's the last 4:

I love how the include 3 accessories for Bespin Luke - lit saber, saber hilt and blaster.  The working holster for Luke and Han are great.  But I think the Emperor is one of my favourites - the expression on his face is great, the sculpt on his cloak is nice and the lightning is an awesome accessory.  Nien Nunb is nice filler, but I need Lando for them to pilot the Falcon!

I bit the bullet and picked up a Stormtrooper Luke off eBay.   :-\

With that purchase and the make-up Vader Chase that is in the mail, I just need to track down a good deal on a Stormtrooper Han Figure.

Anyone have an extra?  ;)

Well a few updates...

1) My "make-up" chase Vader/Luke arrived in the mail yesterday with a nice note of apology from the guy who sold me the "Master Case".  I consider the matter closed because, in the end, for the price I ended up paying, what I got was a fair deal.  Was it a hassel?  Yes, but lesson learned I guess.   :-\

2) My chase Stormtrooper Luke (from eBay) is in the mail, should be here today or tomorrow!

3) And, last but not least, I ordered a chase Stormtrooper Han from Mopiku Toys - a deal I heard about over at KubrickWorld.  Stormie Han set me back $70 CAD ($57 US), so it was a pretty fair price.   I really wanted a legit piece on the Stormie Twins, so I pulled the trigger on them before the fakes/customs become wide-spread (yeah a custom is easy to make, but my OCD couldn't handle knowing it wasn't the real deal).

So, sometime next week when Han arrives (knock on wood) I should have a complete Series 4 (plus 1 extra Vader), total expenditure = $192 with shipping:

$70 - Basic Set of 6, plus extra Vader, plus Chase Vader/Luke
$65 - Chase Stormie Luke
$57 - Chase Stormie Han

I have to admit, I'm a bit puzzled on the price.  I can't decide if I should be happy that I beat the "eBay price" for the complete set of 9 or if I should be concerned that I just spent $192 on 10 little plastic men.   :-\

Sounds to me like you did great Jeff.  I am unsure whether I am going to go for a Vader/Luke chase yet, but if I do I am definitely aiming at somewhere around the price you paid for the full set.
