So now Entertainment Earth has 3 different case break downs for wave 3.  And none of them contain more than 2 Stormtroopers and one has just 1 Stormie.

The good news is that these things aren't exactly clogging pegs here.  I see the random Han or Han and Obi-Wan but never a GLUT.  So hopefully we'll end up seeing the final waves.

I still think just to make an even distribution there would need to be a wave 4 that is nothing but ROTJ figures.

The Original Trilogy / Re: Fun with the Military!

I think this is the thing that kept me in the game all this time.

I can recall  back in the "Olde Dayes" I had imagined all sorts of Branches and Ranks.....then after some time (lets say 20 years) I've actually gotten some experience with Tactics, Strategy, Rank Structure etc and instead of all the Book Learnin making me like toys/star wars less...it has made me revisit my old chlidhood creations and modify them.

As far as any Fan Fic pictures or stories.  I don't have one iota of talent for the art stuff.  I always had wished I did (if you look at any of my notes from High School, College or Law School, all the pages are full of doodles but nothing worth sharing)

But after re-reading the X-Wing Rogue Squadron Series (it is the only Series I can get into) I have finally formulated the plot for a Fan Fic story.

I'd share it here but people falling asleep at their computers or getting sick is never a good thing.

Besides, you've got to enjoy any Military that requires you to wear the Riding boots as part of your uniform.

Ok we went out last night so I had to TiVo the Opening Ceremonies....

Just one question.....who designed/decided on the US Team to wear those ridiculous Hats and Outfits?  The outfits our atheletes wear during opening ceremonies have been in steady decline for years.

So as far as the fashion competition I'll have to say the US didn't even place in their heat.

Is that a "Gang Sign"?....

Here's a Star Wars twist to it.

I just laugh at the Stupidity of Jerry Jones in drafting Q Carter in the first place...in the second round no less.

Right, how one man can do something like that after Jedi Mind-Tricking  some sad sack team in Minnesota into taking Herschel Walker for  every draft pick they will ever have, it boggles the mind......... ;)  Until Bill Parcels got here Dallas has not had a good draft since Jimmy was here.

I like Dallas chances better with Vinnnie and the two kids than with Carter anyway.  Q-Car was not exactly what Dallas needs as a QB as far as leadership goes and of course it may just be the media joining the dog-pile, but I've heard that he was locker room cancer.  Taking credit for all the wins and placing blame for all the loses.

I'm just about ready for the season (and College ball too) to start...

I prefer the Winter Games, but I will watch the summer games.

I too loathe any event with Judges.  That is not a sport, it is an exhibition.  Find a way to make these things more objective by use of speed/points/power and I will consider it a sport.

right on all counts...but tell me this how many quarter bags could Ricky's signing bonus buy?

As far as picks go, I think we should work some pre-season picks less of awho will win/who won't" and more of an injury predictions.  Like how many starting QB's don't get to start the regular season due to injury, you could almost go down the list of the "skilled" positions and set the over and under.

But like y'all said  I don't want to make predictions till we know who else is going to retire, smoke dope, get hurt or become a cap casualty.

wow I wanted the Cowboys to have a new QB, but I was hoping it would be a little less Dramatic.

IF IF IF it is a drug related reason then I applaud the Jerry and Bill for finally having the guts (as an owner and coach not them personally) to do something like cut the starting QB.

Makes me feel a little better about the Eddie George signing.  After Vinnie gets hurt in game 3, Drew Henson is gonna have to have somebody to hand it off to.

I'm still optimistic about the season, but guarded optimism...

in keeping with making the OT fit the PT, there isn't a chance that GL will make the bridge crews of all the Star Destroyers look like Jango Fett to is there?

I think the missing 14th point is probably waist articulation.  Look at all the pics available over at GH or in the couple magazines that have pics and the wrist looks articulated but the waist is one that I just can't tell.

I'd rather have 14 points like Han, but I can live with lost waist articulation more than I can tolerate only one wrist.  I'm still buying 15-20 of them either way.

This is the picture that makes me think both wrists are articulated:

********

ok next time I'll read the whole text first, Hasbro says waist is articulated and they never lie......I still think that pic on GH makes it look like both wrists are articulated.

I hate to double post, but this info seemed worth it...

I got the VOTC Luke today at KB and when I opened it, I noticed that he can do a very Jean Claude Van Damme-esque Splits.

It appears his legs at the hips are able to "Spread".

A very cool piece of articulation that I don't think I've seen anybody mention.

Did Luke spend the entire first movie as a Mouthbreather?  Why do all renditions of him lately show his teeth?  Is he that bucky and I didn't notice?

Something else that is striking is the height difference between Luke and Han.  And Leia is even shorter than Luke.  It looks odd just because I guess I've never seen them done truly to scale before (if they are indeed more correct this time around)

I'll try to get some pics of Luke Van Damme , but somebody will have to tell me how to post them.

It is also the first time that the Big XII has had so few teams in the Top 25.  Usually 5 or 6 are in the pre-season poll and this year it is just 4.

And what 5 coaches/writers thought Texas A&M should be in the top 25?  Dennis Franchione and who????????Maybe he a Paterno made a pact since Penn State's 3-9 team got votes too.

I am going to go broke Army building that Stormtrooper.

Can anybody tell if his head is on the ball post like some of the other VOTC?  I was thinking a Han Solo in VOTC Stormtrooper Custom would be easy to do.

1935

I made strong mention of that exact point to one of the top Hasbro reps down at Comic Con last week Paul, and his answer was basically "tough $h!t."  He didn't care in the slightest, and when I asked if the Stormtrooper might ever be available at a cheaper price point and/or in greater quantities or in army building sets, he said "NO WAY," and reiterated the "tough $h!t" part.  This guy could've seriously used a refresher course in dealing with their fans and customers.  Very poor customer relations.  Very poor.  The other Hasbro fellas were at least respectful, and acknowledged some of my (the collector's) concerns.  They should've just left this other guy back at the Hasbro HQ though...

I had some mention of that in the post the first time I wrote it but I didn't want to get too off into that, because it gets preachy and makes me like the hobby less.  And how if I ran my business like they run theirs, I'd be out of business (in my best H. Ross Perot voice)

As of today I now have the following cases pre-ordered:(again Ent Earth's case breakdowns not)

Wave 2.5
1 Lando
1 Vader
1C3P0
1 Yoda
1 Obi Wan
1 Leia
1 Luke
1 Han

And 2x Wave 3

2x Boba Fett
1x Chewbacca
1x R2D2
2x Stormtrooper
1x Lando
1x Darth Vader

So bascially when all my orders are done, all I'll have extra is Fetts.  Since for the first time EVER I am going to keep some figures carded (maybe)

That just leaves me with finding 6 VOTC Stormtroopers at retail.  Since 2005 is looking like the year of the Prequel, I'll have a ton of extra SW money to spend them.
