Watto's Junk Yard / Re: What do you drive?
« on: October 18, 2007, 12:45 PM »
I think I've posted here before, but if not, we have two cars.  I drive a 2000 F150 4x4.  It's all paid off, so the gas really isn't that bad.  I also drive just 2 miles to get to work.  I'm thinking I may start getting my wife to drop me off and I'll jog home after work.  I have debated in a year or two getting one of those new 4 door Jeep Wranglers.  I've been wanting one for a while and with a baby on the way, I'll need to be able to get one in the back and the pickup makes that a little different, even with four doors.

My wife drives an '04 Hyndai Sante Fe that she loves.  She is dead set on not owning a minivan, so we decided to go the small SUV route.

I can't decide how good last week's episode was.  I can't say I've been disappointed with this season, but it hasn't been as funny as the last.  I think it could just be the hour long episodes.  I think this show is best just as a half hour...need to get Jim to play a few more jokes on Dwight.

My favorite on Dwight was the quarters in the phone.  I've been looking for that clip on Youtube but can't find it.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: JD Book Club: What Are You Reading Now?
« on: October 18, 2007, 07:18 AM »
I'm reading "In the Company of Soldiers" at the moment.  I'm a bit perturbed with it though.  It's a book talking about the commanders of the 101st during the start of OIF.  HOwever, the author is obviously anti-Bush, that's fine if he is, but it's tainted his writing severely and is making it frustrating to read.  He will often go off on a tangent complaining about the war.  I thought I was getting a history book, not an editorial.

GL makes annoucement

We already knew this, being loyal Star Wars fans, but GL talked to the LA Times yesterday and talked about the live action series.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: My Name is Earl on NBC

I can't say enough how much I love this show.  I was debating the other night which one do I like better, Earl or The Office.  Can't decide, but Earl gets the funny props just for being "smart" kind of humor.  The Office, it's like watching a train wreck each week and you can't turn away.

If I had a bootleg focus, I would have grabbed as many of those figures as possible.   Those things look really nice and clean...for bootlegs.

I don't have the figure yet, but the Hoth Han on the left is the one on it's way.

Cool stuff.  I wouldn't know where to start to do something like that.  I'm pretty computer illiterate.

I hadn't planned on purchasing anything as it's been a while since I've spent more than $5 on any SW item and I had the cash earmarked for another softball bat.  However, I came across these auctions and the 79 back Endor Han was still really low and it's been a bit elusive so I took a stab at it.  The other, although the bubble is torn, was still a good price and it will fill in nicely in my Han focus.  I'm not real particular about some pieces as long as they are original and displayable.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Price of toys to increase 10% in 2008?
« on: September 20, 2007, 01:09 PM »
When I see stuff like this, it makes me so thankful that I got out of the modern game a couple of years ago.  I still wonder through the toy section from time to time, but can't tell you the last time I bought a figure.

Thankfully it's all vintage now.  Of course, we still see the price spikes from time to time, but that is kind of expected at this point.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Soft Drinks - What's Your Pleasure?
« on: September 3, 2007, 11:37 PM »
I'm a Dr. Pepper kind of guy.  I know a lot of places in the US don't have it, mainly just in the south.

When I do actually drink soft drinks, it' Diet Dr Pepper.  I try to stick with water as much as possible.  There is a new type out though and it's Berries and Cream DP, not too bad.

Vintage Trading and Classifieds / WTB Bootleg and baggy Han Solo
« on: September 3, 2007, 11:32 PM »
I'm looking to expand my foucs a bit.  I'm looking for bootleg vintage Han figures.  I've got an unarticulated Polish Han and that's it.  I'm looking for loose figures.

I'm also looking for bagged Han figures.  I don't care about bag variations. I'm just looking to get one of each Han in a bag.

Shoot me a PM if you can help me out.
