Nice!  These kinds of details are what should set an exclusive apart from a general release.  But I can't help but marvel at the face sculpt on this Obi-Wan.  They really nailed Alec Guiness's likeness!

Yeah, that is a great looking figure. Hope mine looks like that!

That looks really nice, glad to see we are getting the ANH Obi. I'd like to get this set, because the little accessories look neat - but I haven't been able to get a Star Wars exclusive after the show for years. Seems like this should be released to retail down the road though, so that's good.

Yeah I can't fathom this isn't a general release sans table...  And that in a way blows but it also is about as offensive as a Carbonite Han slab which we've been down this road...  Can't really expect less.

And the figure is gorgeous...  Fans have to be excited.

This looks awesome.  I'm just not excited about having to pay $90 for it on Ebay.

This looks great! Shame it will be tough to track down for a reasonable price.

I know the Ben is coming separately in the regular line, and the Japanese MAFEX R2-D2 comes with the Leia hologram, so I'll be set there. But still... haha

Rumors had been circulating about a Black Series Ben Kenobi, but what I remember seeing mentioned said Episode V.  It makes me think that maybe someone screwed up their roman numerals in describing that version of Obi-Wan.

Of the three Hasbro Star Wars SDCC exclusives (again, big thanks to Hasbro PR for supplying us with samples  :)), Obi-Wan is, no surprise, the King.

This may be the best 6" figure I've seen Hasbro do so far. The likeness and paint job on my Obi-Wan head are second to none.  The light/sound table is phenominal.  It has two modes - first just does the "help me Obi-Wan Kenobi" bit and then the second does the whole Leia holo-speech.  Just awesome. :)

Both sabers have removable blades and the loop on the end of Ben's hilt fits onto his belt hook perfectly. And yes, he's still in the package for now.  The open box set-up is so well done that I can't bring myself to pull him out of it yet (I'll get there eventually :P).

The only problem I have with the set is that not everyone is going to get it and that's going to piss off/disappoint a lot of folks probably.  :-\

The likeness is definitely an amazing one.  They really went above/beyond on this set I felt.

No sign of this in stock as of 8:40 CST this morning.  That said, I noticed one of the other products could be added to my cart, so I hope they haven't come and gone already.  Also noticed that the description says "Limit of 2 per household" instead of the usual 1 per person limit.  If anyone ends up with a spare, I'd love to get one of these.

No, they haven't gone available yet, I have been watching like a hawk all morning.

Which one were you able to get into your cart and how?  :D

Twittter chatter is saying they are now available - good luck!

Be sure to order off this page - links aren't working on individual pages yet...

That was a bit frantic.  The individual product listing pages didn't have the ADD TO CART button, but the other pages did.  I was able to get both Ben Kenobi and Kylo Ren.  But for whatever reason I could not get Jyn Erso added to my shopping cart before she sold out.

Had a Ben in my cart, processing checkout at 10:20AM CST... got an error message and of course it had sold out while trying to process the order. ::)

Same here. And I also had no "Add to Cart" button on my individual pages so I had no idea wtf to do. I had to run to a whole different computer.

It's a stupid thing to get angry about but I can't help it. Make more of these goddam things, Hasbro! You could have sold a hell of a lot more of these today.

And if anyone here at JD has an extra Jyn or Obi-Wan I am interested.  ;D

I got the two figures that I wanted the most, and that was the exclusive versions of Ben Kenobi and Kylo Ren.  The Jyn Erso figure is cool, but she's essentially a sneak preview figure with some exclusive packaging.  The other two figures have a bit more going for them with all of the added accessories.  I suspect that HTS might have disabled the ADD TO CART feature on the individual pages so that people wouldn't park themselves on those pages and scoop up EVERYTHING.  It was tough enough for me to get one each of Obi-Wan and Kylo Ren.

FWIW, I haven't gotten an email confirmation from HTS yet.  But I did get confirmation via my method of payment.  I suspect HTS is busy running all of these orders and they'll get processed in turn.  But you've got to imagine that the servers were flooded with traffic.

I saw one of these at Wizard Con this weekend...for $110.  ::)

Nice to examine it in hand, looking forward to picking it up one day.

HTS's stock alert email system is so slow that it's effectively worthless.  I tried using it for some late wave TFA items like unmasked Kylo Ren and the FO Stormtrooper Squad Leader.  But by the time the system sent my notification they were already out of stock.  Some of the guys at the RS forums have been talking about some shopping apps that will constantly poll an item's stock status and alert you very quickly to a change in stock status.  Has anyone else here tried one of these apps?

Yes, I use a plugin called "visualping" that integrates in to Chrome (maybe other things too).  I'm sure there are plenty of other options out there, so this may not be the best, but its what I'm using.

Its super sweet in that its super configurable to whatever you want.  The only real drawback is that you need to be in front of your computer to get the alerts.  I also use it to sniff out job postings at companies I follow to try and land a dream job.

If someone knows of one that is free and is flexible enough to send you text alerts or e-mails, that would be even better.

Visualping has allowed me to score quite a bit of limited availability items over the past few years.  Especially something like the SDCC Obi-Wan that might go in and out of stock really quickly over the course of a couple of months.
