Even if the TD wasn't counted Pittsburgh still would've won.

How can you say that? If Seattle had held on, and put up a goalline stand, it may have turned the momentum their way. That was 3rd down play if I'm not mistaken, and the D had already stopped them on 1st down and 2nd down.

I'm not saying Seattle played their best game of the season. And I'm not even saying that they should have won. All I'm saying is that the NFL needs to step in and do something about the officiating across the board. It just seems like this entire season was filled with bad calls that stood, or good calls that were overturned. It was a mess, the entire season, for every team. Something the NFL as a whole needs to address for next season.

I think the thing that scares me the most right now about the SB is the refs.

Quote
I just hope the refs in Detroit and gonna call a good game...  :-X

Looks like I didn't hope hard enough. No one here can tell me that the game was called fairly. It's obvious that the refs were pulling in Shittsburgh's Pittsburgh's favor.

Offense pass interference against D-Jack? C'mon. Gimme a break. And there is no ******* way in hell that ball broke the plane of the goalline. Not by a cunthair.

It's tough to win a game when you're playing 16 on 11.

To Porter's defense, he only said ANYTHING after a Seattle player talked some **** on Bettis which, given Bettis is a special guy on and off the field, didn't sit well with anyone in Pittsburgh...

Right. And what Stevens said was "It's going to be a sad day when Bettis leaves Detroit without the trophy".

And that makes it alright for Porter to start talking about taking guys out, and hurting people? What is Stevens supposed to say? "I like Bettis and I think the Steelers are going to win" ?? Give me a break. Every player on both sides of the ball thinks that their team is going to win.

Not to mention that even if your game plan is to go out and try to take out the best players from the other side, you shouldn't say that to the media. Pretty ******* stupid if you ask me.

I'm rooting for Seattle (obviously) and I think they can win. If they don't win, I'd still  be happy if Joey Porter breaks his neck on the first play of the game (or gets hurt in any way, shape or form, at any other point during the game, for making stupid remarks about wanting to go out and hurt players on the opposing team. If the only way your team can win is by taking out the other teams best players (see: Carson Palmer) then your team sucks. End of story).

Seattle 28
Pittsburgh 17

I didn't see any info about this here yet, and it's very sketchy at the moment, but WHV has a listing for a new 2-disc Blade Runner... can't wait to see more details on this.

I had an entire, long winded response to your post typed out, but then decided against posting it. I'll just post this instead:

By your definition everyone who sold customs on Ebay a few months back for charity "took advantage of someone" even though it was for a good cause.

No. If you read my post, you would see that it says "Personally, I am against the selling of customs on ebay as a way to fund your hobby." How did my selling a custom clone on ebay a few months back, and donating ALL (i.e. 100%) of the auction end price to the Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina relief help me fund my hobby? It didn't.

Star Wars Dioramas and Displays / Re: diorama-shadowbox tips?
« on: February 2, 2006, 12:07 AM »
What I'm looking to do is create a type of 'ground' like rock or earth, etc etc.  I'll probably just use a printout for the background but I'd like the ground to be more 3-d since they'll be standing directly on it.

The best thing to use is the real thing. I've made dioramas in the past and used sandbox sand from TRU to cover the ground. Just take some foamcore or whatever you're using for the base and cover it with a thin coat of white Elmer's glue. Sprinkle some sand on, be generous, and wait about an hour. Then just tilt the base and all the loose sand will come off, back into the bag. Then, you can repeat on any areas that you may want to add more onto, or any areas that may have been missed.

Go to the park and pick up some rocks. You can put them in the oven on a low temperature just to "cure" them, to kill anything that might be living on them or in them. I used to do this with rocks when I was keeping various lizards as pets some years ago.

You can go to a pet store and pick up aquarium plants in many different shapes, sizes, and colors to match just about any look you are going for. And since they are plastic, you can always paint them if they aren't the correct color. You can also  pick up sand in different colors at the pet shop, if you were looking to make a more "alien" enviornment, that maybe doesn't have normal earth-looking sand. You can also pick up pieces of driftwood that come in all kinds of shapes and sizes.

If you have a hobby center or train shop near you, there are plenty of options for making fake rocks and scenery. Or you can order supplies like that online. One place that I have ordered from in the past is Tower Hobbies. Good prices from what I've seen, and quick shipping.  They have plenty of great stuff that can be used, like grasses, earth and ground cover and scenery molds and accessories.

Good luck, and make sure to let us know how it turns out :)

Those are looking really nice. I've got a similar project waiting in the wings myself... I just need to pick up the last few figures that I need to have a complete collection, and then I plan on doing the same thing, just making some repro cards and re-sealing all the figures onto them.

I'll echo Greg's question - front only, or both? Personally, I don't think they need the backs, especially if you're just going to be mounting them on the wall. But the backs would be nice ;)
