Apple's iCloud is notoriously insecure. If you are putting things in cloud services in general, you should just expect the world will get it.
This isn't apple hate, I have a couple of iPads and an iPhone...I'm just careful how I use them.
I feel the same way here... I'm not looking to blame the victim (way too much of that going on with this whole mess), but if you're taking naked pictures of yourself, it's probably a good idea to disable the photo portion of your iCloud settings. People need to be smarter about technology in this day and age. We should all assume that everything we do on our phones can be made public if the
right wrong people start looking to make it public.
I let iCloud have my contacts and calendar because I want those synched across my iPad and available at my desktop, but I don't share my photos or music or anything else it offers because I don't want it stored on some corporate server where anyone could potentially get to it, even if no one's ever going to want to see a million pictures of my dogs.
I heard the FBI is looking for this guy....probably to give him a hearty handshake, a heartfelt "thank you" and to buy him a bunch of beers!
I'm sure that's it!
