I definitely regret not simply buying a case back then.  :\

I think the general belief is that he's a typo version of R2-B1:

There are an understandably huge number of R2 units, so it's possible that that's wrong.  But it would be a pretty logical conclusion to draw.

Got my box from NSC: no chases.  I love that the Landspeeder is to scale-ish. :)

I'm going to be very tempted by the Galactus, but at the same time I think I like the scale of the 18" Marvel Legends Galactus more.

I *love* the pics of the MiniMate Galactus though - that's really great design.

EDIT: I take that back: upon further review, I found that that's a statue, not a figure.  That sucks.  =\

I've been building up a pretty full list of Kubricks, and I've decided to make it available on the web for reference/correction:
* http://zachd.com/kubricks.html
Right now, it's a text-only list organized by line.  I'm *thinking* about adding in links to pictures, but that will obviously take a loooong time.  I had been trying to figure out what Kubricks were available at what point, and accidentally started building up this list in order to have an English-language list.

If this helps people, awesome.  If you want to help out, I'd appreciate it.  Generally stuff that I know I don't know is marked with a '?'.  :)

Yeah, the 'classic' Daredevil and the Punisher in Trench Coat make the Spidey pack fairly tempting.  I see we've got most of the same Marvel figs, except that you've got Scarlet Spidey and Morph too.  I must admit that the suction cups with the Spideys were a nice touch - I like attaching them to things around my office.  And I'm jealous of the Batman movie collection with the missile-firing penguin hidden in the background.  I've got a crush on that, and that's my next purchase when the price heads down.

Where's the Supergirl/Superman from?  I don't think I've ever seen that nor heard of it (I've been building a checklist)... a little retro, but nice.

Pics of the FF Movie Thing and Invisible Woman:

(1st pick a simple line-up with Sugar Pon, 2nd pic w/ Marvel Legends Galactus wielding Silver Surfer and Sugar Pon's oddly in scale gun.)
I've been contemplating getting the movie Mr. Fantastic for the darker/matching suit, but I don't like the mostly-human Torch as much.   :-\

Other Toy Lines / Re: Micronauts

FWIW, the Japanese Microman releases in the past couple years (2003-04?) were pretty incredible.  I've got the transforming water bottle(?), and have been lusting after the transforming Playstation 2 base set for a while now.  It's definitely not what most American Micronauts fans are used to, but it does nicely tie back in the Micronauts/Transformers connection:)

The box sets also used alternate colors for the characters that to me just didn't look right.  I liked the X-Men box set a little better (even with the glossy purple Magnus), but the sheen on the Batman figures just was not appealing to me.

Gregorbian: The Halo 2 Kubrick was an exclusive/hard to get, which is why it's so high.  They're slowly dropping down in price some (used to be about $200, I got mine at ~$45).  They're very cool - I'd be tempted to army-build if they were cheaper.  :)

The first shot is obviously just on the shelf, the second a close-up so you can see the body better.  The Gingerbread Man is holding his alternate gun.

EDIT: Even better pics of the Halo 2 Kubrick.

Kubricks / Series 5

Congrats, Matt!  That's sad about the helmet, though... I liked the idea of them being in active disguise.   :-\

The idea of vehicles is pretty great.  I really like my lightcycles, the "Great Escape" motorcycle and the various bikes are great. I think I'd buy any good "riding" vehicle or anything that showed them off.  The Special Forces van is kind of cool, but ... it wouldn't be nearly as cool as a landspeeder (where you could seem them hanging out) or even (fond wish) one of the basic ships like the A or X Wings.

There's several Indy's (and Master Chiefs and 3 Beakers...?) on eBay right now, FWIW.  I might try to pick up one of these at last.

Has anybody compiled a full list of *all* the Kubricks out there?  I've actually made a fairly complete list of what I've seen to date, but I'm curious as to whether there's any other public lists that I should check out and try to merge with before putting this on the web.  (No pictures at this point, mind you.)

Kubricks / Series 5

Anyhow, now I am being murdered on eBay for mislabeling my auctions as "Series4" instead of "Series 4."  But hey, I can sleep at night.
OOOOOO!  :o  *proceeds to army-build on the lovely 2 Trooper auctions*  Thumbs up!  Thanks - I almost missed those.  :)

I've lurked for a while and thought I'd say hi and give a thanks for all the info and links around here.  I'll be on eBay trying to round out the "main" Star Wars cast bidding as 'zachd'.   :)

I'm still waiting for stuff like Indy and the Max Rebo sets to come down... *sigh*.

And I must say that those custom Kubricks are quite impressive - nice work.  :)
