For the last couple of years we ran an informal poll with your 10 most wanted characters from the current Star Wars Films. Continuing the tradition and trying to finish up before Comic Con 2008, I thought it would be a good time to revisit those lists. Here's how it works: You send your Wish List for 10 3 3/4" Figures to me or post them here, be it new figures, resculpts or even re-releases and I'll tally the votes. After three weeks of list taking I'll publish the results and we will move on to the next movie. Now up, the ever expanding Expanded Universe. I didn't get jack last year... Sounds like some KOTOR figures are on the way, but ultimately I'm not going to remove them from my list because I simply am not sure we're getting them all. In the meantime, here's my list from last year pretty much unaltered for the most part.
1 ) Kyle Katarn (Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight)... The original Katarn figure is lacking in detail, and a hybrid of Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, and Hasbro's own idea of how the figure should look. He needs a figure based on his live-action character from Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight.

2 ) Jan Ors (Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight)... Katarn needs his partner in life and business, Jan Ors. Here she is with Kyle.

3 ) Jerec (Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight)... EU figures aren't fun unless you get enough for a scene I think. Jerec is Katarn's nemesis throughout Jedi Knight. A must-have enemy for Katarn to whack.

4 ) Space Trooper (West End Games)... West End Games designed the Space Trooper... Hasbro used a horrible EU design from comic books that doesn't lend itself to realism in the slightest. This design is the original, and this is the true way a Spacetrooper should look. Screw that Dark Horse comic look from the Thrawn Trilogy adaptaion.

5 ) Rebel Infiltrator (West End Games RPG)... The Alliance's most elite Soldiers are the Infiltrators. For you GI Joe fans, think Snake Eyes in Star Wars. :) They are a division of Special Forces and also include secret agents like Kyle Katarn that act independantly as well, but their fighting teams are like Rebel Navy SEALS. The picture isn't the best.

6 ) HK-47 (KOTOR)... Assassin Droid from KOTOR... Cool ass character, great figure design, great game.

7 ) T3-M4 (KOTOR)... T3 is again a droid from KOTOR, and I love this design. Is this not the epitome of early astromech to you guys? You gotta love it.

8 ) A Bothan... I'd just like A FRIGGIN' BOTHAN already... They could just list him as a Bothan even, not a character specifically.

9 ) New Republic Trooper/Soldier (KOTOR)... Essentially this is my request for a post SA ROTJ Fleet Trooper... Their uniforms are like a mix of Madine with Fleet helmets and that's about it. Different colors.
10) Noghri Warrior (Thrawn Trilogy)... (Sorry Jason, I did dump Corran Horn) I've always wanted one of these guys and so he's getting into the list.

1) Coruscant Guard/Elite Stormtrooper - Resculpt of the SotE PotF one, but up to current standards and not a "Luke in disguise" version... I think people would totally buy these. They look badass.

2) Sate Pestage (or in a Comic Pack with Ysanne Isard) - Ruling Council ppl are always welcome
3) Sith Trooper, KOTOR (with heavy blaster and double-ended vibro-blade) - Lots of demand for these guys, very strong aesthetics and they would go well with the other KOTOR figures.
4) Mission, KOTOR (with vibro-blade) - Rogue character from KOTOR who I ended up killing, sadly. But if you let personal attachments get in the way of seizing control of a galaxy-dominating superweapon, you probably shouldn't be trying to dominate a galaxy in the first place.
5) Imperial Intelligence Officer (in red) and/or ISB Officer (in white)... both could be very cool figures

Last year my list was 100% Sith--and I must say, betwee what has come out and what has been announced, Hasbro has taken great strides at getting some Sith out there--but they remain VASTLY outnumbered by jedi releases so I sticking with my all sith all the time all expanded universe list

It's always interesting to me how Jaina/Jacen make the top ten cut again this year, but Anakin Solo always gets left out...
I guess twins = cool, but the third Solo kid = boring. :P

Well, Anakin Solo got killed off by Lucas to avoid potential confusion about Anakin Skywalker. And Jacen and Jaina are central to the whole NJO storyline. But in that case, why no Ben Skywalker? Or Jacen as Darth Caedus?
Personally, I would've liked to have seen more love for the video game characters. But I think next year's poll could see a shift in that direction with The Force Unleashed coming out. The new trailer for the game is amazing!
