Saga '02-'04 / Toys-R-Us finds
« on: February 1, 2004, 11:19 AM »
Well, this morning I went to Toys-R-Us in hopes of finding the new Unleashed Statues or new figures. I found none.
The manager was nice enough to look up the stock at the other TRU stores for me and they also have none of the Unleashed or new Figures. She explained to me that it is due to the hit they took at Christmas, the Inventory Stock that they just finished, and the Warehouse who just finished Inventory Stock. She said they are just now slowly starting to get in stock.
As for the Star Wars items listed in the Sales Add she told me to check back later this week. She says the CPU shows the Unleashed in Transit. So hopefully by this weeks end I will find them or at least a few figures.

Anyone here have any luck at their Toys-R-Us store?
Post your findings.

Happy Hunting!

Watto's Junk Yard / 54321 TV Show
« on: January 31, 2004, 12:07 PM »
The other night I was watching the TV show called "54321" It is a show about extreme sports and the people involved, ect. Anyways they had this guy named Kip in the show who is a BMX stunt guy who makes videos of BMX events. They talked a little about him and his hobbies. One of his most favorite hobbies is to collect Star Wars. They showed his collection. It is very massive! This guy collects all the little action figures up to the life size things to items that I have never seen before.

He has a large collection.
He also collects the Simpsons toys.

Anyways if you catch this show it is worth watching just to see two rooms full of Star Wars stuff.

Well here in Indy it looks like Durge is a peg warmer. I have been to several Targets in the area and Durge is filling the pegs.
I bet Yoda is the #1 most wanted followed by the Clonetrooper then Dooku.

Poor Durge, he sucks.

I got my Clone from a friend overseas. It is a so so figure. I just wanted it for I am a completist. In April I will probably grab a few for some friends and or trades.

I have heard that on some sites they are going for over $100.00!!  :o
Just wait and they will be here soon.

The only things at any local Wal-Mart over here are the basic (generic) lightsabers. Lots of empty pegs.

Maybe with the Toys-R-Us sale they will get them this week since they are on the add.

If not I am sure this wave will show up at Target like the rest have.

850030004 Animated Figures Wave 2 This is not correct. I took this number to my Target this morning and the stocker told me this is the Hardware Department number.

I asked her about the Clone Wars figures and she took the old tag off the pegs. She came back about five minutes later with a case of figures.
She opened it up and inside was the following: X3 Clonetrooper, X3 Durge, X3 Count Dooku, and X3 Yoda. The Second Wave is just that, a Second Wave of all new figures. No repacks of the First Wave.

Anyways, I bought one set of the figures leaving two sets on the pegs.

I talked to a guy at TRU today. I showed him a print off of the upcoming sales add along with the post with the SKU of the Clonetrooper. He told me they do not have the Clonetrooper in stock but it could be on this weeks truck. As for the regular Action Figures and Unleashed he said unless they get something on this weeks truck they will be stocking the older stock that is in the back.

If you snag the 25th Clone please post.

I think that they will be at the TRU's stores it will just be a matter of time.
I also think the Clones will come UPS as the R2-D2's did last year.

Picked up the two new DVDs
-Notes from the Underground
-Shredder Strikes Back

At Wal-Mart in Plainfield this morning they had about 20 people stocking like madmen. I saw another new TMNT vehicle the Turlte Pogocopter or something like that.

I have places an order four times in the past. I only got one order the rest were cancelled or just never got to me without explaination.
I know people who order from NF religiously with no problems. But no, I will not order for NF. I would rather find the figs in the stores first.

Well as many of you know I have my toy collection in those $29.99 bookcases that yo ucan get from Wal-Mart. After I put my stuff in there I cover it with 1/8" Plexy Glass that is $10.00 - $12.00 per sheet at Lowes.  Lowes will even cut it for you for free on their big saw (make sure they run it in there backwards). To hold the Plexy on I drill holes through the Plexy Glass and into the bookcases. Then I screw it in. The only bad thing about it is when you want to access something you have to take out the screws and move the plexy glass. Other than that it keeps the kids, dogs, and dust out.

a) i can't seem to turn my pc off. not that i shut it off all that much, but when i click the shut down icon, it just restarts.

I had this problem with my Compaq desktop a few years ago. There was something about WINXP that messed up some of the systems codes. I am not sure what codes they were but the techs at Best Buys told me to change something int hte Config and it fixed the problem.

Or if you want one option that I was told was to hold the power button after the shutting down screen appears to turn off the CPU.
