Star Wars Screen Themes

Youve probably seen a link to them on Star Wars.com, and I just downloaded the trial along with an image pack (4.50 per set, you get big discounts the more you buy). I must say, the image quality is absolutely stunning especially in digital shots. I also got some classic trilogy pictures, and there are many images I have never seen in my life, stuff like Hoth trench photos with new rebel pictures, and a very cool ROTJ picture featuring Han and Lando talking on some sort of landing platform, around the time of the Endor battle. Even with the old movies, a lot of the shots are pure photographic quality (and I mean SUPERIOR quality), and others are still very much better quality than I've seen for anything on the net. I highly recomend these to everyone!

What screen sizes do they offer?  I've seen links to that and have always wondered if it was worth the money or not.  Thanks for the review about it, but let me know about the screen sizes that are offered.  Thanks!

The program you download is "intelligent" so it will know your resolution, and change the images to fit. My resolution is 1024x768, and everything is very crispy.

I'd suggest downloading the trial:

http://starwars.screenthemes.com/

There are some great free images with it, including an absolutely astonishing Yoda closeup.

Everything is contained within the program you download, which runs in the background. You never actually download wallpaper images, just files which must be verified in the program by purchasing them. Once purchased and verified, you can choose whatever wallpaper you want, schedules to rotate the wallpapers, apply textures (like canvas and patchwork, etc) to the images, download new wallpapers, etc. When you purchase the sets, you can also purchase more credits to use towards other sets, this way you can get a bigger discount but pay more all at once.

In my opinion, worth every penny! :) I've downloaded all of the classic Star Wars sets (8 in all) and got a 15% discount, so it ended up being $30.60 for 143 wallpaper images. The free download includes either 6 or 8 (cant remember) images that are also featured in other sets. They are all AOTC images, including the Yoda I mentioned above, a nice Gunship shot and some other cool shots. Lots of unique and interesting images in the purchase sets, all of which you can get a preview of on the website (in small thumbnail form).

Now I just wish Hyperspace members could get a discount! :)

I just downloaded the trial version and this is pretty cool!  The picture quality is great!  I'd buy the Darth Maul pics for sure if I had some money.

Hey Adam,

That shot of Lando and Han is their "goodbye" on the hangar Floor of Home One prior to the Tyderium's launch.  The shot was a composite of several shots layered on each other, some background actors playing rebel crew, and the hangar itself composited in.

I've seen that shot before, but if it were to happen to get copied somehow, and sent to me, I'd certainly not "be upset" by seeing it to use for customizing reference (Looks like a clear shot of a Rebel petty officer between them?)

***wink wink, nudge nudge***  :)

I don't change my desktop/wallpaper ever, so that's not a service I'm interested in, though clear shots from the film always interest me for my resource library.
