I don't think you use actual Krazy Glue... I think there's something like super glue that's made to medical use specifications.

I'd think the solvents in super glue would probably burn you up pretty good if you applied them to a cut and would leave a sick scar.

Good stuff, Brent.

I want to see you use that Rykrof head on the right... could be a hillbilly cousin of Rykrof's or something :P

 :o

This whole thread is making me cringe.

I hope you get better soon, Fritz.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. This was a "quick-n-dirty" rendering just for the K.O.E. PN. It will become clear why I left him as shown when I get that wrapped up.

I don't really like the cloak much. I'd rather work out a way to fix his elbows (I posted previously that the elbows are ugly), but for the PN at this time this is what I needed.

The neck is the same one from Ask Aak. I think Gran just have long necks. :) I think it's kinda cool, but it does make him look a bit like a giraffe (which shouldn't be a shocker considering the influence of that animal on the Gran design).

The ankles are another area I think I can improve, but not right now. :)

Thanks again, guys.

Absolutely what Hasbro's should have been. and the weathering looks like I would expect after that hellish battle on Mygeeto. Genius work, man.

Couple more shots, but no more peeking at the narrative.

I took a lot of pictures tonight, and it seems obvious to me at this point that I have a LOT of production work to put in...

And with a hat tip to CHEWIE:

Probably it for previews. I don't want to give anything away...

Holy freakin' cow! I'm sure I will be equally impressed with the Luke/Yoda when you release the color pic, but this Imperial Officer is amazing! Way to take a good idea and really expand on it. This design seems so... so probable. I've never bought into the idea that Stormies go into battle all decked out in armor while the officers just take it on faith they won't need any. :)

Beautiful work.

Long time no update, huh?

Here's a Jedi Master who will have a significant cameo in the in-production Chapter 2 of KOE. His name is Master Jole Suud.

It's a Plo Koon body with Ask Aak neckpost transplant, A.A. forearms, and A.A. feet. I think the robe is from E2 Obi Pilot. I slapped an IG-88 bandolier on there as Suud is a Clone Wars general, so he needs more than his basic Jedi gear. :P

That's all I want to let on for the time being :)

Comments are - as ever - appreciated.

Hmmm... polka band members... I just learned something new.   :D

Maybe on his shins I should paint them gray or something.

 :P

I don't think it's the shins... it's the harness hanging at the knee. I happen to think it looks *really* cool, so I hope you don't alter this R.E. further. Painting the lower legs out in gray will only serve to wash out the difference in materials used... armor on the lower leg almost always makes sense. Armor on the thighs can slow a soldier down. Same goes for the upper body. You have a GREAT concept here... don't give in to idiosyncratic ideas about what your customs look like...

I'm no ace at this, but I would recommend that you go ahead and start sketching out things like timelines, casts of characters, etc. It helps, and it motivates you.

I was thinking about K.O.E. Chapter 1 for MONTHS. Then I started scribbling and idea here and an idea there, and it really motivated me to flesh it out for a PN. Same thing with Chapter 2. I didn't have time, so I put off the prep work. Once I starter writing down ideas I stayed motivated and things moved a lot faster.

I can't wait to see how you try to tell this one. It - to me - has the potential of being either the greatest aspect of the Star Wars legend still left untold or the most Matrix Reloaded aspect in that at some point you just stop getting it. :)

I'm willing to bet you keep it from getting too complicated.

Best of luck!

More to come soon, DD.

I have often been troubled by the blind acceptance of the Clone Army, too. At the same time, right about the time the Jedi Council learns of the Army is when they need them most, so it's pretty much a matter of not looking a gift horse in the mouth. The Clones performed well on Geonosis, and thereafter, so I guess the Council chalked it all up to a belated thankyou owed to Sifo Dias. :)

For the record, Sedo Crus doesn't buy it for a second. :)

Very high praise, PenDragon. Thanks.

This chapter will be relatively heavy on the storytelling, so I hope the writing holds up. :)

CHEWIE -

Slap a Clone head on that Snow Rykrof and make like 10 of them. That is one of the best trooper concepts I have seen in a long, long time (rivaled only by the Rykrof in jumpsuit with gauntlets and lower leg armor and a Commander Kama).

I love the concept on Bail. It is very believable as something that would likely be designed for him were he to have appeared on film in a more Republic Army vein.

The new look for Tylin is also a winner. I like the more rumpled look of this jumpsuit on a commander... makes me believe he's seeing actual combat.

Great update as ever. Can't wait to see how you work them into your novel.

Nice work, Brent. You did a good job of making this a very mysterious tease. Had you not let on that your novel was about Darth P. I never would have guessed :)

What is he hitting with the force lightning there? Or is that part of the mystery? :)

Can't wait to see what you do with this.
