Saga '02-'04 / Re: THIRD Imperial Officer head variant is a go!
« on: June 6, 2003, 04:20 PM »
Quite so Jesse, quite so.  I would buy at least a couple.  The only problem being you just know they'll put in a mouse droid as a pack in.  Seems mandatory for Death STar sets of any sort ::)

LOL, good topic.

I would take toyfare vader with me.  Unleashed Slave Leia was a close second. ;)

Well, variants just don't last long, even with baseball.  That's kind of cool in a twisted way cuz you might get them below retail since they are so hard to unload ;)

We'll probably see them put out on the shelves up here in September or so.  Still need a Kendall?

 ;D

G2-9T and R5-D2 are spending the next few months getting prepared for a climate they've never faced before.  All thanks to Karen.

Always a pleasure. :)

The old uniforms are harder to find normally though, aren't they?  Maybe not as hard as Griffey in the Mariners but still hard, yes?

MLB4 is clogging our pegs at $10 Cdn ($7.50 US) and no sign of MLB5.  No Twinkie for me.

Silent Prey by John Sandford.  You must have read this stuff at one point Scott?

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Top 5 Hotties

Is it just me, or did Alyson Hannigan not look all that great on the recent FHM cover? She's hot in the above pictures, but the FHM did not do her justice at all.

Has Jolene Blalock (T'pol) been mentioned yet?

Willow has always been hot and cold for me.  Some pics/episodes of Buffy she's just a simple wow, others she doesn't do anything for me.  And no, it's not as predictable as the pics on the preceding page.  Not sure what it is.  I will agree about the FHM cover shot though, something not quite right.  Still, like her better than Buffy (she's thin but it seems more genetic where with Sarah it seems like she needs to eat), but not as much as Faith.

Episode 1 / Re: Anyone else army build with EP1?
« on: June 6, 2003, 01:14 AM »
I know a bunch of Canadians over at snowtroopers have armies of them (battle droids).  Wally world cleared them out at $2 or even $1 a piece, so lots of guys bought piles.

Like Chris, I hate the plastic.  Even with stands these things are feeble.  Cool carded, dissappointing loose.

Will look at your link Scott, just not tonight.

I also read about the fact that toys have always been made in the cheapest labor spots in the world and once the price gets to high the industry will move on to other plants in other countries leaving these already seasonal employess out of jobs

All true I suspect.  You can follow the movement of the Nike factory pretty well from year to year (well, several years...) but what started out in one country is no longer there.  Pretty interesting to watch over the past 20 years.  I think they began in Taiwan (began about 20 years ago) and moved at least twice, now residing in Japan.

As regards the original topic, I finally had an opportunity to do a comparison with the McFarlane predator stuff and there is quite a bit of variation.  I believe I pulled the best paint job and took it home ;D

Other Collectibles / Re: For Jango's Fettish, take 2

Ahh, yes. I seen this guys other one. Thing is, the dent's in the wrong spot so every time I look at it, I will still know it's a Boba Fett helmet.

A for effort though, man. Very nice piece, but I got other priorit-ahs as Cartman would say.

Well, I knew it was a boba custom and I should have known that you'd have seen it already, but had no idea the dent was in the wrong place.  Attention to uber fine detail ain't me.  I'll keep trying.

The one thing that pisses me off is when people try to get their post counts up in forums and will do so by any stupid means necessary.  Specially when they post two or three times in a row without even having anyone respond to your posts.   >:(

Uh, yeah.  Me too :-X  I'm really, really sorry about the alyson hannigan pics.  really.  Ahem. :-[

Though it wasn't with the intent of post padding.  Honest.
