The Vintage Collection / Re: 2025 HasLab Mos Eisley Cantina

Yeah I don't have high hopes for that one.

Which the more I think about it the more obnoxious it is. Like, people either want the Cantina or they don't.  Sure you order one for the figures too, especially the Tonnika Sister.

But, I can't imagine many people who are on the fence ordering one specifically hoping to help unlock the tiers.  So essentially they're nice bonuses, but probably not a big driver of more preorders.
Meaning, if the product they're attached to isn't popular enough to sell 17,000 units, this thing that could have been on a regular card anyway might never happen.  Which would be a bummer.

Hopefully if it doesn't make it, enough of the digital sculpting work is done to make it an easy and cost effective figure to pipeline later anyway.

Amazon just sent me an email that says June 27 for Cal Kestis.

FYI.  I got a shipping soon email yesterday from Pulse for the Leia.

EDIT:  And emails from Amazon saying R2 and Luke will be June 27.

Donald Sutherland has died as well.

Just finished it.  Itís certainly a better episode than that absolute train wreck last week.  But thatís not saying much.  This all feels so small, so localÖ soÖ inconsequential.

Itís so bad.  Itís grounded in nothing.  The characters are bland and expected.  The dialogue is cringey.  The plot and conflict are milk toast.

I canít stop thinking about how bad it is so far.

Thanks Jeff, that's a good read.

Is there a reason why the ordering window is shorter than normal?  And am I remembering right that in the past they've extended them on certain projects?  Maybe they could just change the end date.

Holy ****.  Hi Brent!

As for this episode, I honestly think itís the worst single episode of Star Wars since Disney took over, and itís not close.

The jury is out as to whether this will be the worst series yet, but itís got a good head start as far as Iím concerned.

I'd fully expect him in a $24.99 deluxe box at some point.  Can't see them letting him go for $16.99.

Iím not sure who would top the list of unmade figures now. Ackmena maybe?  :D

I've given this some thought, and Ackmena is probably 1 for me, but 2 would be this fella.

Iím almost done watching the third episode and canít shake the thought that this show so far is incredibly generic and offers nothing new beyond being set 100 years earlier.

Iím finding this one to be incredibly boring, with dialogue barely better than The Phantom Menace.

I can't imagine that helps Hasbro hit their revenue goals, but it would be a fun option for sure.

Yeah, I'm definitely not expecting to pull a profit on the second set (unless I keep it forever, I don't have the space for that). I am just hoping to get as much back as I can to help offset the cost of having one set of loose & carded figures. If I can get $325-$350 total for the rest of it I'd be ecstatic.

Oh yeah, if you want part of it that makes total sense.

Separately, at the end of the day the flippers help get the thing made and help hit the stretch goals, so this is a rare situation where I'm kind of not against it.

Itíd be an interesting choice for a retro set given how they only seem interested in new figures for non-OT shows and films.

But, one figure sold twice with a new paint job would definitely be attractive to Hasbro.

Meanwhile, the Stan solo stuff is so high quality that once those ship I canít imagine caring too much if Hasbro produced them later.

After the way the Barge went I did that with the Razor Crest and ended up storing a giant box for two years to maybe make $150 more than I paid.

So I didnít bother with the Ghost, and donít plan on bothering with this one unless we get to the last minute and the numbers are comparatively low.  If there are 25,000 or
30,000 of these out there I just donít think theyíll have much resell value.
