Star Wars Celebration VII: Anaheim Hotels
« on: August 6, 2013, 07:39 PM »
Not sure WTF the site is doing with hotels thus far. This banner was in my email today from Star Wars Celebration Anaheim & is not showing on the site as with the countdown timer for tickets.  ::)

With past Celebrations in Orlando, the Rosen Centre was the host hotel. 2 major hotels are close by the Convention Center, the Marriott & the Hilton. Guessing the Hilton will be the host hotel as a tad closer. Still a few other hotels close by those those that are on the budget & no doubt will cram members in the rooms to keep the costs down.

Overhead view of the Convention area. Disneyland just across the street top.

A couple online brochure grabs of hotels in the area. Not the best & will add a link & list of hotels close by.

Hotel List for 2014 NAMM Show

Link above has list of hotels & odd prices for rooms to get an idea. Hopefully when the hotel booking come online for the Con, they offer some kind of discount.

For those that have been to Anaheim, any information for members on the better places to stay at would be great.  :)

The close proximity to Disneyland isn't helping those hotel prices.  I didn't realize the convention center was right smack next to DL like that.  Nice for convienience I guess though.

Actually the prices aren't bad considering what they usually are.

Wow...  All the more reason I'm definitely not going, haha.  Forget the flight there from the EC...  Yikes.

I have a free place to stay in Orlando thanks to my friend, so I'm really gonna aim for next one there or a mid-west one I can drive to if they do one in like Chicago.  Honestly I'm really hoping they just alternate DL and DW back and forth at this point, and it never really go anywhere else (Unless Pittsburgh, of course. :P)

Just as a test I punched in four nights at the Hyatt and was quoted $885. Ugh. Even splitting something would be hella expensive. I should probably reconsider the trip but I don't want to drop below 50% Celebration attendance. :P
