Since Matt has the secret Santa thread going, I thought I'd make a small suggestion. 

I know I have a lot of toys (dregs, if you will) that I can't trade or seemingly even sell below cost to anyone that are perfectly good and in the package.  I'd like to suggest that folks follow my lead and take them somewhere locally that can make use of them.  I'm sure most places have a big bin in a mall where you can drop off new, unwrapped toys for Christmas that end up going to folks that can't afford them.  My intent is to go through the stuff I have an unload what I can't make use of.  No sense in opening something only to throw it in a drawer or bin to never be seen again, especially when the option is you might make some kid's Christmas much more enjoyable. 

Just a thought.

Mini-mates Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade?   Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're customs as well, probably using a Jean Grey head for Mara, but they're reasonably well done.  Maybe some photoshopping for effect as well, no reason for the name plate to overrun the logo.

I picked up a boxed X-wing in very nice shape so I'm contemplating vehicles, but I want minty boxes as well.  I'd probably dump most of the modern vehicles to get there as well. 

Creatures are of interest, boxed as well. 

So, what would you proceed to chase down next?  Suggestions please, all are valid. 

Picked up an Unleashed Vader for trade.  Not absolutely mint, so if you're overly picky, go away now please.  Sides by the bubble are a little folded in (I'll send a pick before finalizing) but still displays nicely.

R2B1 and holo Sidious, as the title says.  Both are loose, mint and complete.  I'd like to trade based on fair value and would prefer sending both to the same place since the R2 is too big to go in a bubble envelope.  But if you only need one, so be it.

We've heard it and said it before with respect to Star Wars or just in general.  Retailers sometimes suggest it, the section size dwindles, kids buy video games. 

What precipitates the question is a store I was at today.  Local collectibles shop that splits its sales between 12" military figures and action figures.  His military sales are fairly stable and it's a pretty mature market from what I can tell, most customers are older than me.  On the other side I was amazed by what I could find and his prices have started falling.  This is an entirely huge range of figures, many lines I would collect is space, $$ and marriage weren't an issue. 

But so much was just sitting there.  I don't go in often, just when I need to find something and don't mind paying above normal retail.  By way of example it's where I found my Unleashed Stormtrooper for $5 extra.  Still has IG-88 and Aurra btw.  Basically I make it in there about once a month or so. 

Lots of red clearance stickers were to be found - star wars, Simpson's and many others.  All of Alex Ross' Justice League series I was sitting there.  The latest Buffy and Faith figures were there, not really moving well.  Family Guy series II was marked down (he never got in series I).  LOTR was sitting there, the latest wave, hadn't sold in a month, not even the Eye of Sauron.  The examples go on and on, never mind all the examples of sportspicks that were sitting there. 

What's your take on it?

Anyone else seeing it? 

For the longest time I received next to no real spam at my hotmail account.  The occasional thing went into the junk mail folder, but in the last couple of weeks it's skyrocketed. 

In general I don't post my hotmail account anywhere.  The only recent sign up I've had is with robby.jp and there seems to be some correlation with the timing of that but I think that's just coincidence.

I guess I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed the same thing?
