I missed this while I was on vacation last week...  spotted at Disney Store in London, no US details yet.

Apparently this is supposed to be an homage to Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice in Fantasia.

OH!!!  Now the color scheme makes sense!  It's a tribute to Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's apprentice in Fantasia



I'm kind of embarrassed to say that I've never seen Fantasia.  Even moreso since I recently learned that my grandfather's older brother was an audio engineer working for Disney in the 1930's and helped to develop what was at that time a revolutionary way to produce sound for film.  Walt Disney called it "Fantasound".
