LEGO Star Wars fans can look forward to five new sets coming in January, 2006! Look for these great vehicles from both the classic and prequel lines:
6205 -- V-wingfighter
6206 -- TIE interceptor
6207 -- A-wing fighter
6208 -- B-wing fighter
6209 -- Boba Fett's Slave I
Look for these and more great LEGO products at their booth in the Star Wars Pavilion at SDCC!

More rereleases. Argh. >:(
At least it sounds like a cheap year. Looking forward to pics.

Slave 1 is Jango's ships in new colors, which is cool. Also, it comes with the other Bounty Hunters! :o
-
There already is a B-wing

JesseJames posted the following tonight on the front page:
"Star Wars.com had a little update featuring the new Lego Slave I (http://www.starwars.com/collecting/news/lego/news20050822.html) that's coming out soon. The baddest bounty hunter in the galaxy is getting his ride pimped by Lego designers, as are other classic ships like the A-Wing and B-Wing fighters.
Also it appears that Slave-I will be stocked full new mini-figures including IG-88, Dengar, Fett (of course), and a Bespin Guard. Good stuff for the brickheads out there!"
And directly from SW.com (http://www.starwars.com/collecting/news/lego/news20050822.html):
"LEGO has announced a January release for an all new enhanced edition of Boba Fett's Slave I, which sports a sleeker new design and a beefed up 537-piece count -- that's 179 more pieces than 2002's Jango Fett edition. What's more, two new bounty hunter figures will debut with this set: IG-88 and Dengar."

Kicking of the ass. Must find room for it.

FBTB.net (http://www.fbtb.net) has a couple amazing pics of the upcoming V-Wing Fighter!
(http://www.jedidefender.com/news/images/9-05/LegoVwing2.jpg)
After reading through their forums a bit, it's supposed to have just under 100 pieces and be in the $10 to $15 range.
It looks great!

Looks like a Sail Barge and Star Destroyer might be on the way in 2006 as well, judging from these catalog images from Brickshelf and RS.
Sail Barge (http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=http://www.rebelscum.com/toys2005/lego6210_lowrescatalogueimage.jpg)
Star Destroyer (http://www.rebelscum.com/photo.asp?image=http://www.rebelscum.com/toys2005/lego6211_lowrescatalogueimage.jpg)
I've never been a LEGO collector, but I have been tempted from time to time (the current Falcon especially). These sets do look pretty neat though.

OK, so it sounds like the Slave 1 will be slightly modified from it's prior incarnation(s). But has there been any word on whether the others here have been spruced up as well, or if they're just straight rehashes?
-
Slave I, B-Wing, and A-Wing are all completely different from the originals. :)
-
If any of my fellow Canucks are considering getting some of these new sets, they are all on sale at LegoShop.com (http://shop.lego.com/leaf.asp?cn=4&d=5&t=3). Strangely, the US site doesn't have them on sale.
All in CDN$
A-Wing: $24.99 -> $15.99
B-Wing: $49.99 -> $34.99
Slave I: $79.99 -> $49.99
TIE Interceptor: $29.99 -> $19.99

Sail Barge looks great ($74.99 US), and I guess I'll have to buy a Star Destroyer ($99.99 US) too...
