During their Star Wars Toy Fair presentation this year, Hasbro announced they're celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in 2020 by giving fans the chance to help choose a Star Wars character to be added to the Black Series 6" line. JediDefender is proud to take part in Hasbro's Empire Strikes Back 6" Figure Fan Poll!
Starting today, JediDefender readers can vote for their top ten most wanted 6" figures from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. All you have to do to take part in the fun is create a top ten list of your most wanted 6" figures from The Empire Strikes Back and post it in this thread or email it to jsmentek@jedidefender.com
Please Note:
- Please rank your top ten from most wanted (#1) to least wanted (#10)
- Ties will be broken by total points (10 for #1 vote; 9 for #2 vote, etc)
- Only characters from Empire Strikes Back can be included in the votes
- The winning figure will not be a retool of a previously released figure
- Only 1 vote can be submitted per email address or forum user name
- Voting will close at 11:59pm EST on Thursday, 2/21
- Results will be delivered to Hasbro on Friday, 2/22
- Please only post top ten lists in this thread - other discussion posts will be deleted
When you're the fan site best known for this (https://www.jedidefender.com/icmg.php), I think it's a safe bet you know who we're endorsing!

That's a solid list right there. Lobot and Hoth Rebel are in the wrong order, but the rest looks good to me. ;) Thanks for hosting this Jeff!
-
Yay Lobot! :D
I know he was leading by a large margin over at YodasNews too, so maybe the momentum is there.

He cracked top 10 and sometimes that’s all you can ask for in life.

What are you talking about, "cracked the top ten," man? My dude came out on top.

Nice group of TESB characters to submit this time around. I wish I had thought of the Imperial Probe Droid, because I think it would be an excellent addition in the new Deluxe Black Series line.

I think so too. Maybe a in a 2-pack with Hoth Chewie?

I thot you were an ICMG guy? Lobot instead? Congrats for the Duplex!
-
This is one of those rare cases where I'd happily buy any of the choices and have no complaints
-
Is there any indication if there will be a second phase of voting based on the fan site responses? Perhaps at the Official Site?
-
Here was the original info that we got with the Round One voting instructions -
The second round of voting will begin on Monday, February 25th, at Hasbro Pulse. Look for more details soon!
But obviously that hasn't happened yet... I sent an email yesterday asking for updated info but haven't heard anything back from Hasbro PR.
-
Looks to be up now on Hasbro Instagram

6 - Princess Leia (Bespin Gown)

What a complete joke of a voting method...is someone from Hasbro really going to check if users aren’t voting multiple times?
I’ve suspected for years that these polls have been rigged this just smacks of idiocy especially since technology exists in the year of our Lord 2019 that could produce a legitimate result
-
Maybe they're letting multiple votes?
-
The one point about the polls this time around that seem noteworthy is the narrow timeframe for the polls. The shorter the duration of the poll, the less likely it seems that someone could really stuff the ballot box. And if they tried, it would be really noticeable.
-
I don’t have Instagram so I won’t have a voice in the matter.

Thanks for posting this. I voted for the Hoth Rebel Soldier, but would be okay with most of these. I'd like to see WH win just for Scott, but I don't see him topping this list. I'm surprised at the seemingly large number of votes for a Probe Droid. It would fit with a lot of other Hoth stuff getting produced, but would most certainly be a deluxe figure. #Rigged you say?
I also wonder what Hasbro does with the people that vote for multiple figures or say "#7 if he comes in a two pack with Yoda." He certainly will not come in a two pack, so do they count that vote? I'll vote #9 if he comes with a Hoth Rebel Soldier. ??? My favorite is the guy on there lobbying for a Bossk write in vote. Its been done, man. Twice.
-
I suppose he just wants him on a vintage card.
-
Looks like the winner was announced on Hasbro Pulse's Instagram page (https://www.instagram.com/p/Bu_qODbFbK1/).
Dagobah Luke.
Meh. I'll buy it, but I would rather we had something more obscure/interesting. I've already got 7 Luke figures...
-
Because the 14th slightly different version of Luke is more appealing than an all new character? ::)
-
I agree meh.
I do though find it sorta humorous that these votes are either "too obscure" or "not obscure enough"
-
Yes, the most boring, and most likely to otherwise be made choice.
Not at rigged at all. We swear.
-
Dagobah Luke? How did that win? The only people I saw voting for that were the ones that wanted it in a 2 pack with Yoda. I don't know why I always think these votes actually count for anything. Hasbro's just going to make what they want to make. :P
-
I didn’t count every vote but 2-1b Willrow and Lobot has way more votes that I read through than luke
So dumb
-
I like Dagobah Luke and all, and will definitely buy one, but I was hoping for something a little more obscure here too. I think we have had more Lukes than pretty much any other character in the 6" line (Tatooine, Stormtrooper, X-Wing, Bespin, Hoth, Jedi, Force Awakens, soon to be exclusive new Stormtrooper Luke). Again, happy to get it, but didn't need a fan vote probably.
-
This is one where you had to feel pretty secure that Hasbro would have made this figure without the need for a Fan Choice Poll.
-
I guess it's my own fault for not checking this thread frequently, but nice of Hasbro to advertise the poll everywhere. I had no idea it was even going on. And on Instagram too? Whatever.
I'm just hoping they can make a good Luke headsculpt this time around, but the results of the new facial paint applications have been promising so far.
